My sweet husband of 56 years died last Wednesday from cancer. The next day, the chorus to this song kept playing in my head, even though I hadn't heard it that day. So I had to find it on RUclips and play it. It brings tears to my eyes and heart, but that is exactly what has happened. My husband is new, and God will mend my broken heart and make me new again also!
May God be close to you in your dark moments. May He cover you and draw you to Himself for healing. You are loved! After my wife ran off with another, I got remarried to a wonderful godly woman with whom we had a special needs child, and then I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, now in remission, this song births hope and we know from scripture that “if God be for us who can be against us”

My wife was also 32 when she died from a heart arrhythmia brought on by a seizure. My daughter was just 3 months old when my wife died. The only thing that brought me through this time in my life was to hold on to Jesus and trust that he had a plan. My daughter is now 17 and looks like her mother and loves the lord like her mother. One day we will all be together again in heaven as a family. I’m so sorry for your loss. You will see her again when we are all surrounded by family and God’s love

I went through a divorce 13 years ago that I didn't want. Jesus has long since healed my broken heart. But it was terrible. This song brings me to tears when I think how God took my shattered life and put me back together his way. I love Him more than anything. This song is my story. Praise Him

I need this. I say need but the Lord knows everything
I understand how you feel. I am American but married a Mexican. My husband came legally, but overstayed the (legal) alloted time by 10 years. We were married + had two beautiful children. I was not happy with my career + I wanted something money could not buy- a large, tightly knit family- aunts + uncle's + cousins + grandparents- the whole lot- for my children. It was something I could not provide them with here, in the States. So, I convinced my husband we should go back to His country + do things the right (legal) way.
Things did NOT go as planned. It was HORRIBLE. As soon as we moved down there- to Mexico- along the TX border- EVERYTHING began going wrong. We were under so much stress. My husband slowly began changing; + ultimately, he went back to old habits. I desperately tried to reach Him, to get Him to talk to me, but his whole personality changed. He blocked me out; after two years of this, I could not take anymore. I left with our two small children. What hurt the most is that he even helped me prepare the car for the journey + let us walk right out of his life. 💔
We crossed the border back into the States + ended up homeless in a shelter for nine months + sleeping on a daycare owner's floor for four additional months. We were exposed to horrible things during those darkest hours. No man was there to protect us or advocate for us. I was so depressed, overwhelmed, + alone that I could not function normally. The pain became physical, tangible, overwhelming. I got down on my knees in that shelter + cried out to God, begging Him for mercy.
Satan, in the meanwhile, was working overtime around the clock to thwart God's plans for me. He placed a man into my path that I found myself so physically attractive to that I could resist his advances. Satan does not play fair- he WILL hit you while you are down. I had an affair with that man- who was absolutely demon-filled- off + on for a year + a half. That man was cruel. He never loved me or respected me. He was literally an agent of Satan meant to destroy me.
We eventually got into Housing + I found employment working for the State, but I quickly realized that place was the most evil place I have ever seen or worked at. I was elevated- promoted to supervisor- very quickly- JUST so that I could be brought down harder.
I had never in my life seen evil to the extent I have seen it while living on either side of that border. Demons are literally running around rampant. After 2.5 years living in Texas, God provided a way of escape. We finally moved back to the north, but I had sustained a knee injury in TX that I never did recover completely from. It effected my other leg + has now effected my back + pelvis, as well. I can barely walk or even get comfortable enough to sleep. I am completely blocked out of my career as a result (not physically able to do what is required- criminal justice, restraints, running). At first, I felt angry + frustrated with my husband; but eventually, God helped me let that all go + see that I was NOT the only victim. I then felt angry + frustrated with MYSELF + my OWN body. I felt abandoned + alone struggling to raise two children on my own when my husband I were SUPPOSED to be a team + do this TOGETHER as one big (loving) family.
I used to be a dreamer + a go-getter. That has completely left me. I no longer dream + I have been unemployed for three years, now. We have no car, no income, +we are currently facing homelessness. I feel like a failure. There have been times when I felt this entire struggle would consume me; but in all this mess, the Lord came back for this one lost sheep (me). This has all been SO painful, but Jesus has been SO faithful + has NOT let me go through it alone. He has been there right by my side. My faith, as a result of all these horrific things we had gone through, has skyrocketed. I am absolutely in love with my Father, His Son, + the Holy Spirit (who are one). I only have eyes for Him!
It has been almost 11 years since I left my husband, but the wound + the pain are still there. It is a war zone (literally) + impoverished in Mexico along that border; everyday, I worry over the safety + welfare my husband + in-laws. Over the years, I tried thousands of times to reach my husband via different methods, but that door has been completely shut to me. The desire for reconciliation burns in my heart as does the pain of my children growing up without their father. It is almost unbearable.
Things were never supposed to be this way. This is not WHAT we had envisioned or planned. But through all of this, my vision has been cleared + I can now see God's hand in all of it. I can see why all of these things HAD to happen so that OLD things could be brought to an end in order to make room for the NEW, BETTER things. God has taught me SO much over the years. He HAD to bring me down low. I was a proud, arrogant, judgmental, + insensitive person who did not have one single humble bone in my body. I did not know how to truly love someone else.
God is a gardener. He knows who He created/designed you to be. He is the vinedresser (the gardener), Jesus is the Vine, the Jews are the branches, + we (gentile believers/Christians) are the branches that have been grafted in. Along our journeys in life, thorns- the ways of the world- have gotten entangled around us- some of them so tightly that their vines have intermingled with your own + have cut off all life causing that area of our lives to become sick + decayed, even dead + unproductive. That's not what God wants for us- He wants us to be healthy + thriving in Him; so, He prunes us daily, cutting away what is decayed, dead, +/or no longer suits a purpose. This pruning hurts, but it inevitably frees up space for whatever that is left (after the pruning) to be nourished, thrive, + increase... and for new, healthier things to spring up + flourish (filling in the voids).
Our journeys have been so painful- there were days we didn't think we would make it another step... but here we are. The pain is still present, but we are stronger in the Lord than ever. 🙌🏻All glory be to God! We realize, now, that God knows exactly what we needed to change. We would not be where we are today (so close to our Lord) if we had not gone through all those difficult, painful things.
I will end this comment by sharing with you GOOD news! This is a JUBILEE YEAR (and I am claiming that for ALL of us believers)- for you. It is a year when the (Jewish) servants were set free (from servitude)... and those they had served ensured they were well taken care of, equipped with everything they would need to begin their new lives, successfully! They were transitioned from one season of their lives (that which was now old, dead, + no longer served a purpose) into the next (a season of joy/rejoicing + prosperity)... + they left in better shape than they had originally entered into it in! 🙌🏻💃 The Jubilee Year was also a year where ALL debts were forgiven + the land was returned to its original owners. All things were made NEW. ❤
I claim this Jubilee Year (which is actually taking place, right now) for all my brother- and sisters-in-Christ, including you! This IS the year where ALL things WILL be made NEW. We have left slavery behind, equipped + blessed with everything that we will need to successfully enter into this new season of prosperity + joy. (Just as the Hebrews did not run out of Egypt or leave in poverty, neither will we!) Our original land (body; soul) is being returned to us (deliverance!), + our debts (spiritual AND financial) have been paid in full- we owe NO man ANYTHING BUT love! 💕🙌🏻

My anthem. Looking back where I was 20 years ago - divorced, no job, no home, 2 kids ; I surrendered and asked God back into my life. The very moment I did my life has never been the same. Day 18 since I lost my husband suddenly, the love of my life for more than 34 yrs. I'm not sure how anyone survives this. Everyday I wake up to the same nightmare. I feel that my whole life has been turned upside down and I don't know where I'm going to land. My emotions are all over the place and sometimes all I can do is scream because this pain is unbearable. This song plays in head 24/7 and also played at his service. Here's the pieces of my 💔 what can you do with them? Cause I can't hold them together anymore. So I let them fall surrendered to the floor.

I remember my mama feeling that way when my dad went home to Jesus just days before there 30 anniversary. Im filled with so much compassion for you. God provided my mama with another love. Truly a testimony how it all happened. My dad would be happy for her. She still misses him so much but I know He's with Jesus and he doesn't want to be here anymore. I'm praying God heals the wound in you, and that Holy Spirit becomes so close to you and that He provides the love and companionship I know youre longing for! He won't ever fail you. The fist time I listened to that song, It just gave me goosebumps and out of nowhere I started crying. I didn’t even know why I was crying and I just couldn’t stop, but I guess it was just my way of dropping my broken heart to the floor and asking God to put it back together for me. As an adult you are expected to be strong all the time and to keep a calm face while on the inside you are all broken and dying and we most of the time forget that we don’t have to keep that face before God as he knows and understand our pains and can fix us. I know what you mean, I started crying the first time I heard it and it moves me to tears now. I'm currently going through separation and divorce and what my husband has done to me, has literally broken my heart in shreds. My flesh screams hate him, but I had to get to a place where I said I can't do this anymore God. God gave me His heart of love and forgiveness. But as time went on, I prayed... and realized that God had a plan. That someone else was out there for me, someone better, someone who would truly love me.. for me. And there he was, not long Down the road. I met him. He is still by my side today. God did take what was broken of mine, and made all things new.

This past year I lost my uncle, my brother in law, and my sister committed suicide. I also ended up in the hospital with congestive heart failure and was diagnosed with a flutter similar to a fib. Without God and my wife I don’t know where I would be now. Then last night I saw big daddy weave at the Calvary Chapel church in Kennewick. When big daddy spoke prior to this song and then sang this song; My heart just melted. I truly felt as if you were speaking directly to me. After my wife of 25 years (best friend of 30) passed away 4 years ago due to complications brought on by chemo-therapy, I was left broken, lost, angry, in despair. I tried to carry the load alone, the kids (including 2 elementary school aged girls and a 20 year old son), the house, the job, the grief, not wanting God's rescue, feeling He had abandoned us and not willing to trust in Him again. After 3 years I finally gave up, recognizing that without Him my struggle was futile, I couldn't keep it together no matter how hard I tried. I surrendered.
Today, I'm married to a wonderful, loving, selfless, godly woman who loves me and loves OUR kids as her own. God made me new, He took the broken pieces of my heart and made it beat again. He gave me renewed HOPE, and in His MERCY He brought me out of darkness and into the LIGHT. I can't help shedding tears when I sing this song, tears of gratitude for what God, in His infinite LOVE, has brought into my life to fill the void that brokenness has left in my spirit. Thank you Jesus for making a WAY for me and mine into our Father's heart!

A year today was diagnosed with breast cancer, 6 months after loosing my husband traumatically. Had a total mastectomy left side in January and reconstruction later. Thankfully no chemo or radiation as caught early enough. Yesterday mammogram showed all is clear. All tests clear. I Praise You Lord, from the ashes, I have risen up, all things are New! But to all out there, get checked regularly...it's a life and death situation. So much mercy from Father, just so much mercy....

I was in the hospital for nearly two weeks this year. It was like God lightning bolted my brain after a near death experience. The anxiety of not knowing what was wrong or thinking I might be trapped in a child like state of mind was overwhelming. I had a set of headphones in the hospital and heard this song every day. By day 12 God revealed the lifestyle I was living and woke me up for the first time. I knew I believed in my heart and had real faith after 33 years. He rebuilt me in a way I didn’t think was possible. I got diagnosed with Bipolar I with severe manic episodes. So anyone out there like me who was scared to go to the doctors for 20 years knowing something was wrong, you aren’t alone. I can live in the present and not feel trapped in my own mind, take advantage of every day and minute, He took what was broken and has a plan.

7 years ago I had a heart attack at the age of 42. (I thought I was great health) 2 in a half weeks later I lost my brother due to a blood clot to his heart. At 47( Suddenly) My prospective of God changed. I stepped away from helping with children at church because I didn't feel it anymore. I felt like I had nothing left. Through God's grace and understanding he held me and now 7 years later I see a much bigger and greater God than before. YES , He makes all things new!
