More than money factor, I feel it's waste of energy, time and it just makes you more restless and wanting more. If you read "The Toyota Way", the principles will start resonating with you. In the book, they says, stick to tools which are tried and tested. Nowadays, it is all fluff and no stuff. Btw, Levis jeans are value for money (expensive) but the pockets are really deep and good. Most of the jeans have very shallow pockets at prices lower than Levis.

I'm 30 and although I'm not a millionaire yet, I should be a crorepati before turning 31! I agree with all 6 things you put forth in the video. Some pointers from my side:
    1. I don't even own an i20 as Uber does the job equally well ;)
    2. I stay away from real estate as it is something that I don't understand well.
    3. I also subscribe to Netflix one or two months a year just to catch up on a couple of good shows now and then! Nevertheless I do have an annual subscription of Prime, Hotstar and Liv because they are super affordable.
    4. I do own expensive Samsung buds, but only because I got them for free along with my mobile purchase!
    5. I'm a coffee lover but not a fanatic to waste Rs400 on expensive Starbucks coffee. The office pantry coffee is good enough!
    6. I rarely buy clothes as my 10 year old tees are just about good enough to pass off without anyone noticing how old they might be ;) Occasional purchases on Myntra do happen, mostly on my Mom's pestering since she knows how old my clothes actually are!

Convenience: because they’re so portable and easy to start using, i often take it with where I wouldn’t take normally carry headphones because of the wire hassle. Thus I’m able to watch something like this on RUclips if i have some free time whole waiting somewhere etc.
Noise cancellation: i have to work in a noisy environment so the noise cancellation makes it more bearable and i don’t have to turn the volume high
Comfort: for the above reason i wear it all day and it’s still really comfortable
Reliability: they always seemlessly connect without having to do anything manually

Loved this video, especially the point about luxury car. I do have those not-to-be-named headphones. I had to spend only 10k on them after reimbursements from office. I got them because I have the other products from that company and it works well with them. Having said that those headphones last at best a couple of years after which the battery becomes too weak. So, I will most probably not be replacing them.

create a multiple streams of income.. own a house, decent car, stay debt free. Once your other streams of income(not the main one.)+ interest + dividend income is more than your expense.. after that, you can enjoy a little. So you keep saving main income and enjoy on other streams.

It is a mindset change, there are no easy ways to do it. Start making them realise, a simple step could be start with budgeting and ask your spouse to update the things in daily basis, spend 10-15 minutes together. There would be days when neither does it, telling you from experience, have been doing this. We reduced expense by 34% :)

@8:50 I own a pair of Sony MDR wired earphones which cost around 1700 Rupees. The only reason I have them is because I'm a diehard audiophile who listens to music a lot and needs punchy bass notes. NO wireless earphones even in the range of 15-20k can match the wired quality of my Sony's. Most Airpods like products are a rip-off.

    Is money everything?
Would love to know your views?

    • @gregorysequeira131

Hey Buddy, interesting question. I am someone who (almost) thinks and agrees with Akshat. I almost follow the principles mentioned in the video and I was asked the same question some days ago.
      1. But what about the desires sir? - It is okay to fulfil desires that you have but not okay to fulfil the desires that advertisement/marketing has given you. The examples of the same were indirectly mentioned in the video. Akshat desires coffee, but he doesn't go for the coffee shops that reach you via marketing(Starbucks, etc).
      2. Is money everything? - Yes and No. Yes, because - money is used for transactions every day and it is a resource. Learn resource management and these principles of frugality will automatically make sense to you. No, because - money is not everything. Most of the people on deathbed regret not having enough experiences, they never regret not having enough money. Personally, I feel money is a resource, learn to manage it well.
These are just my opinion. Feel free to discuss or criticize. :)

My reason for owning wireless earphones is that I don’t have to hold my phone while I talk to people. Also, there are many outdoor activities I enjoy while listening to music like riding my bike and exercising which is much easier with a cordless wire. I know AirPods are really expensive but they are very compatible with iPhone. I would recommend everyone to go for a cheaper earphones because most of them give good quality sound. And if you can afford airpods, then go for it.

But my sister keeps telling that why do I need to keep replacing those during the event of damage & spend money again n again, instead I can buy ond branded expensive earphone. But till now I have never taken that step.
