i have a feeling their relationship is going to develop more in season 3. not to the point where it’s a queer relationship, but maybe to the point of best friends. it’ll be a good thing if scorpia helps catra emotionally. catra is currently struggling in season 2 and i hope scorpia and catra’s relationship will build up in a healthy way as much as i want to see catra and adora build a relationship again that isn’t toxic.
Payton Ridley ya but I feel like whenever I watch it Scorpia just talks about Catra in a way that shows how much she loves her and it might just be as a friend but calling her "my beautiful Catra we have to protect her" she's always complimenting her and stuff! Idk of that makes sense if u get it u get it.
I don't think it's romantic love... just real friendship, and loving support. She reminds me a lot of Leslie Knope and her crazy "Oh Anne you beautiful and poetic land mermaid..." and "You beautiful naive sophisticated newborn baby." But my favorite is "You are abeautiful talented powerful musk ox!" Lmao I dunno... Anyway, I think that Princesses are inherently kind and their magic stems from love and all that.. I think Scorpia has a lot of love and support to give and nowhere to put it all... she dumps all of her affection and support on one person because that's her only option. I think she sees Catra the way we do as the audience and the way Adora and Shadow Weaver do as well.. they know how talented and strong she is, how smart and capable she is and most of all... I think Scorpia can see through her armor and see that Catra badly wants love and needs support but doesn't accept it. Scorpia is an empath and she knew Catra was suffering and in need of some affection and a loyal friend the second she saw her and made it her mission to support and care for her. Most of her gestures are about supporting and helping Catra in some way. I think the world needs more people like Scorpia. She's great. But Catra needs to stop being a jerk and open up a bit! Lol
Love how it easily goes with the whole "looks like a cinnamon roll/could kill you" meme where she's introduced visually and you think she's terrifying, but just sees Catra is immediately the softest character in the Horde (other than Kyle). That scene and her reveal as a princess in "Princess Prom" caused me to fall in love with her because of the contradiction
They're so incredibly giving in compliments to characters not their own. I love how they shine the light on all the achievements of the show. You can just see how insightful they are and how proud they are about the show they were able to bring to our screens. LOVE the show!
