Thank You for showing how to make the Slim Line cards and envelopes to enclose them. Your explanation and demonstrations were very easy to understand and follow! I like how you used the acrylic stamp block to cut the adhesive strip - great idea!
Thanks I really liked your video I'm getting into slim cards myself I really appreciate what you had to share I also subscribe to your channel and hit the Bell when you were showing us what to do thank you again from one crafter to another hope to see you on here again soon Tina
That's awesome!!! I love how you have all the measurements listed and I especially love the way you tear your tape using a stamp block!!! Thank you for this tutorial I am going to make one!!!!
Why I always read comments: Others notice great little ideas that I've missed - such as using a stamp block to help tear adhesive tape. Thank you for noticing that and mentioning it here!
Excellent instructions. Everyone else gave the measurements for the base, but not specifying what to do after making the base. Thanks for the envelope instructions too.
Thank you! This is so helpful. I saw one slimline envelope die set and it was very expensive! I thought to myself, I can figure how to make one on my own, and then I saw your video! I’m so grateful! 🌈🌼🧡
This is great! Thanks for sharing this. Some of these crafting companies are really capitalizing off the slimline rage, even with the envelopes. Thank you! 😁
Exactly what I was looking for. I have all this 12x12" single sided paper that needs to be used up, which is not so great for craft projects anymore. I want to use it for stationary. Perfect!
Oh yes indeed, I found your video hugely helpful thank you! Also for seeing what you use for tearing the tape, so simple, can’t believe I never thought of that😱!! 😊🌈
Bless your heart, I have the die for the envelope, but darn girl, this is ssooo easy! Yes, it helps, Thank You, Thank You. You made it clear and understandable with the measurements. 😁💐🌈
Hi Mimi!!! Yes...I’ve been seeing slimline cards everywhere and kicking myself for getting rid of the colorful #10 business envelopes I used to have, but now I can just make policy envelopes instead!!! TFS!!! 😀
Hi Susan! That’s one of the reasons I hoard things!! 😂 Cos even if you haven’t used it in 10 years, the minute you throw it or give it away, THAT’S when you need it! Or at least that’s my reasoning anyway! TFW!
Hey Mimi, wonderful tutorial on creating the envelope for a slimline card. I enjoy to make slimline cards they’re really fun to make but I must admit I did purchase a few sets of the new dies. I shared those dies in a video that I uploaded last week. I will be saving this video to use for creating the envelope. Thanks so much for sharing! Hugs 🤗😊💕
Thank you so much Sybil! Yes, I saw your Haul video...I think you picked up the set from Mama Elephant right? Even if you create your cards with dies, I’m glad you can still use my tutorial to create the envelope for it! 😉 Big Hugs & TFW! 😘
Thanks so much for this tutorial. It was just what I wanted and you explained it really well. I’m going to have a go at making it slightly narrower as my card are a little smaller. 😊
Thanks for this video! Have been wanting to try these cards, but didn’t want to spend a lot of money for the dies for the card and another for the envelope. Your instructions are great!
That’s awesome! I’m glad my video can help you create the card & envelope without all those special dies! They’re expensive, especially if you’re like me & want ALL of them! 😂 Well now you have the instructions so get to making some slimline cards & envelopes! 🎉 TFW!
Thanks so much for sharing!! First time visiting your channel and so very happy I did. Now I can make loads of slimline cards and make the coordinating envelopes. I am looking forward to watching more of your vids. New subbie for sure!! Arlene
Hi Tara! Thanks girl! Awesome live the other day! 😉 I’ll have to work up the nerve to finally do one soon! Hope you & the fam are doing well! Big Hugs & TFW!
Beautiful envelope creation and looks awesome. Hi Mimi , What time of paper you use ? Super 👍 Thank you for sharing your creativity ... Stay Healthy Stay Safe
Thank you so much! Which paper are you asking about? The card base was made from Neenah Solar White 110# & the Envelope was made with a 12”x12” sheet of a watercolor painted CS. I hope that helps! TFW!
I’m new to card making and must say this is one of the easiest to follow videos I’ve watched. I love the acrylic block tip. Question for you, that paper is pretty, where did you get it!
Awww, thank you so much! I’m so glad my instructions are easy to follow! The card stock I used in the video is something I picked up a long time ago @ Tuesday Morning. It came in a pack with different colors. Unfortunately idk what company made them. I’m sure you can find something similar from other companies. TFW!
Aww thank you so much! I’m glad you liked it! The thing I’m using to cut my ScorTape is just a tiny 1” stamping block. But you can use anything with a straight edge similar to a stamping block. Hope that helps! TFW!
Fantastic tutorial!! Clear instructions, too. Wish I saw this before I spent so much money on all of the crap I just bought :/. Tfs. I just subscribed! :)
The more videos I watch, the more stuff I regret having bought years ago, when I started making my own cards! (I keep hoping to find videos about getting better results from low-quality stamps and inks - no luck so far.)
Hey Erica! Absolutely! I have yet to step foot inside a JoAnn, Michaels, or HL in 5-EVER (Which is longer than 4-ever 😂)! Thanks for stopping by & watching my video! Hope you’re doing well! Big Hugs!
I LOVE this tutorial! TFS However I have one observation and I think it would be less expensive to make the envelope out of coordinating paper, colored copy paper or plain white with embellishments or ink blending. Less expensive at the post office too!
Thanks for the deets you provided. I'm surprised you left out anything about the card front options & suggestions. I mean, of course I and others know to make it a tad smaller than the card base, and the options for design are limitless -- I'm just surprised you totally skipped it.
Hi Leslie! I’m not quite sure what you mean by your question. 🤔 If you’re asking about a PDF with all the measurements, unfortunately I don’t have that available. Is there a portion of my tutorial that you’re having trouble with?
No it doesn’t! As long as your card fits inside the envelope, it’s just like sending a bill in the #10 envelope. Just make sure you don’t make your card extra thick or it probably will require extra postage. Hope that helps! TFW!
What if you scored and cut a sheet of cardstock per the video, then rotated it 90 degrees counterclockwise (so what was the left side in the video would now be at the bottom) - could you make the envelope by folding the two short flaps (top and bottom in the video, but now the left and right sides) in, then folding the long flap on the bottom (the left side in the video) up, and seal the envelope by folding the overlapping long flap down? (It would probably be easier to do this by waiting until your card was finished and then folding the short envelope flaps over the card, applying adhesive to them and folding the long bottom flap up, then adding adhesive along that flap before folding the remaining flap down.) I haven't tried this, only visualized it, but I think it would turn out OK. (If anyone gives this a try, please post whether or not it worked!)
Thank You for showing how to make the Slim Line cards and envelopes to enclose them. Your explanation and demonstrations were very easy to understand and follow! I like how you used the acrylic stamp block to cut the adhesive strip - great idea!
Thanks Donna! I’m so glad you found my tutorial helpful. TFW!

Hi Mimi! Thanks for this tutorial.
You are so very welcome Alicia! TFW!
Thank you so much for this. I have been looking at the dies and I love the size of this card.
You are so very welcome! Hope you create some cards & envelopes in this size! TFW!
Do you have a pdf if the sizes for the card and envelope? I have been wanting these dimensions to not buy the experience died. Thanks so very much. 😍

Omggggggiiiieeeeeee Thanks Pookie for this tutorial 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
Love ya❤❤

I LOVE this tutorial! TFS However I have one observation and I think it would be less expensive to make the envelope out of coordinating paper, colored copy paper or plain white with embellishments or ink blending. Less expensive at the post office too!
Great idea...... thanks !
Why would the paper make it cheaper at the post office?
Hi can you make a slimline policy envelope box for dimensional cards with 1/2 in gusset on sides ..tfs
Thank you, it was a very funny card to make❤️❤️
Great tutorial! Thank you so much!!
Thanks & you are so very welcome! TFW!

I love slimline cards but you can only get one base from a sheet of cardstock, so I don't make many. They are pretty.
TFS
TFS, I have been wanting to make one of these cards
Great! I hope this video will be helpful when you do! TFW!
Hey Twinsie! Great tutorial! I’ve been seeing a lot of slimline cards lately. Will need to give it a try. Tfs sweetie! Big hugs, Christine 😘
Thanks Twinsie! You’d probably make some beautiful shabby chic slimline cards! DO IT! 😉 Big Hugs & TFW!
What does Tf's stand for? LoL
@@1129richelle thanks for sharing :)
Do you have a printout on the cards and envelope?
Hi Leslie! I’m not quite sure what you mean by your question. 🤔 If you’re asking about a PDF with all the measurements, unfortunately I don’t have that available. Is there a portion of my tutorial that you’re having trouble with?
Mimi Jocelyn Designs no just all the measurements. I will rewatch and write them down.
How can you make the envelope open like a.business envelope
Does this need extra postage?
No it doesn’t! As long as your card fits inside the envelope, it’s just like sending a bill in the #10 envelope. Just make sure you don’t make your card extra thick or it probably will require extra postage. Hope that helps! TFW!
Is there a way to print the instructions?
Thank you! I really needed this do it yourself envelope idea. I much prefer this to regular bought envelopes.
I don’t think that an envelope that opens at the top is attractive... I don’t like them!
