Don't worry Mikey. You wont be able to easily take eggs from a brooding hen. She will fight. 😂😂 aalso dont forget to give chickens greens/veggies and fruits as treats.

For the female iguana.... you probably need a much deeper lay box that is enclosed. Make something like a big wood box that you can put a deep tub of soil in. She is doing test holes right now. She will want somewhere "private" to put the actual clutch of eggs.

Thanks for reading comments ❤️. I don’t know why but it seams domesticated chickens prefer dead meal worms. For really bright orange egg yolks try feeding the chickens orange flowers like Marigold pedals. Marigolds also contain powerful antioxidants which help keep the chickens healthy and assists in fighting off any diseases.

You should consider export some of your nice furnitures to Korea.. I was in Manila weeks ago, and I again found how nice you guys have, paintings and some ornaments and deco things... I was in Manila living for a year in 1992.. It was nice, I found some good stuff... some Koreans do not yet appreciate, but you do have so much nice things....there.. once again, I did rreallize this time when I was there after decades not being there in the Philppines..

We used to grow an extra row of lettuce in our garden for the chickens. I would chop it up for the chickens and feed it to them every day - they loved it. Feed them greens of all kinds - even non-toxic weeds like dandelions, which they also love - will make their yolks bright orange.
Thanks for showing us your beautiful animals! Hugs from Brantford Ontario!!

Maybe the Silkies would prefer to eat mealworms instead of superworms as the size seems manageable for them, although the native chickens sure don't mind the superworms. You could also probably set aside some superworms to grow into beetles so they can breed and have a self-sustaining breeding population going. You can even feed them some dead leaves from non-toxic plants mixed in with their food, as what I did for my thesis minus the food of course; the study was to figure out if they can be used as an alternative to earthworms for vermiculture and so far the results were promising. It takes time to breed superworms though as you need to wait for them to mature into beetles, but they sure lay a lot of eggs to despite the long process. I'm going to try to breed them again though.
The male pheasant is sure looking more handsome as he matures.
And it seems the red canary seems to be trying to assert itself as the dominant individual of the three specimens you already have as it was the first to start singing. My suggestion for a name to give to it would be Ember, while the yellow one with the funny hairdo would be Spark, and the pale-colored one would be Ash.

Hello! There's lots of misinformation on chickens being wrote in your comment section. Please don't stop feeding them a store bought feed, it has everything a chicken needs in it. Your silkie with the bubbley eye needs quarantined and antibiotics. She has a respiratory infection.

If you give your chickens some hot peppers it’s like a natural dewormer. There’s loads of YTs/TikToks on it where they tell you the science behind it. They help worms not be able to establish in their gut. Like parrots they don’t taste the hot. There’s a lot of TikToks and YTs on it. My Granny always fed our chickens hot peppers when I was little and it wasn’t until now that I’ve learned there was a “reason” behind it. Love how everything is progressing… I know I tell you every comment I leave but it’s just so nice to see everything come together.
I’ve been wondering about the big farm. How is it coming there? Have y’all started growing more things there?

Those beautiful hanging ferns are called Tassel ferns! They make those beautiful tassels in their ends thus the name. They do prefer a moist airy medium. A gentle morning sun or dappled sun wouldn't hurt, but not a hot direct midday or afternoon sun. Their delicate leaves can easily burn and this could present as bleached leaves 😊

You don’t want to feed them just super worms because they’re so fatty. Feed them some mealworms, and some blow fly larva probably dried. And you don’t have to make pellets out of the scraps. You can just throw it in there with them, including their own egg shells, but there are a few things that chickens can’t eat so you might want to look it up. Glad to see you are enjoying the chickens and that they are providing some good farm eggs for you 😁.. oh and also, you never wanna give any birds too much if any bread because it can cause what’s called Angel wing. Not good for them. And don’t freak out if about twice a year they lose so many feathers that you think they are sick. They are just molting and they will not lay eggs around that time. Also, they need some grit.

      PRO-TIP
Water washes away the 'bloom', which naturally keeps out bacteria.
Use the lightest sandpaper or a course cloth to remove little poop spots off instead.
Unusually dirty eggs get washed and used first.
      Cracked eggs become dog/cat/chicken food!

I love seeing the new aviary and the singing canaries - it's so pretty - and just like a little rainforest in there!! hehe you're getting a crash course in chickens! Have friends who have chickens - Eggs collected daily won't turn into embryos in fertile eggs and you can eat them. You can tell if an egg was fertile or not after you crack it : over the yolk there's a little white ring with a dot in the middle (blastodisc/germinal disc) - Silkie rooster can mate with any hen and some of the babies might be pretty cute! (Silkie crosses)
