Yes he wasn't going to let Deryk have them! Instead of grabbing them back so abruptly the least Mr DK Engineering could have done was offer him photocopies.
Gosh that would have meant so much to the original owner to see, feel and drive his Ferrari after all those years apart. Such cars are so much more than just machines made of metal, glass, rubber and fluids. They have a soul, which comes from the journey of its custodianship over time. Lovely to see.
Ha! Ha! What we have here is THE master stoke of a sensible “time & money” bandit! He (1) enjoyed both his and the car’s best years, pumping almost 60% of her original miles in 11 of her over 50 years, selling her for 4X her sticker price, shrewdly citing that by 78’ at £75,000 she could no longer be really “driven” anymore, AND got the lucky break to get reacquainted when her bloated appreciation got into the millions!
Awesome resto, awesome interview with the original owner who was about .00001 seconds away from crying his eyes out with joy at the end there! He is more stoic than I am for sure...
Lovely.
Just such a shame Deryk is rudely interrupted every time he starts to speak.
Let him talk! You keep interrupting him, it's really annoying.
Give him his photos back!
Let him finish damnit
How you pulled those photos out of his hands! XD Lovely video none the less! It was great seeing the old chap behind the wheel!

Fantastic hats off to everyone at DK
First time I have seen it, thanks for posting... by the way, did you gave the original owner at least a copy of the car photos?
Just look at it and listen to it. What a thing of absolute beauty. Timeless. I think JK has one of these. Very lucky.
Beautiful car, beautiful story
Stunning video.
Great story.
The previous owner respect the car as a car. The presnter make like it was a Star and too much drama. Its a car made to be enjoyed
Amazing story!

That was very English .
Lucky old bugger
I was born too late. These days you can't buy a Dacia for that money
Look at the old dog go! At 26 bought a Ferrari for £6000. Is that possible today? Yes, if you are a footballer and a drug pusher.
just kidding
