I was there on opening day, too. They were having switching issues with the new wye. On two occasions, many riders hopped on the train leaving the new station that indicated it was going to Norwalk. It didn't. We all got off at Mariposa and headed back. Waited again for the next train that said Norwalk, and I even asked a Metro employee and they confirmed it was going to Norwalk. Nope. Again, we all had to get off on Mariposa and head back to the new station. BTW, on both of these trains, all the signage and ditigal screens continued to show Norwalk as the final destination. On the third attempt, I talked to a supervisor, and on the next Norwalk train, the supervisor talked to the driver to confirm and let us know. The third time was the charm. As it was, many regular riders were confused about the reconfigurations of both lines and these switching problems only made it worse. The Metro personnel apologized to everyone and asked for some patience and understanding. Most people understood and didn't blame them. They were trying to help.
I had the same experience but it was slightly better - they had switching issues also and boarded a few times on the wrong platform but i was never misinformed onto the wrong train - i was there in the afternoon so they may have fixed those issues, hopefully they have solved all the switching by now! Thanks for watching and commenting per usual :)
With this station, no lines run entirely on their own trackage. A & E share Pico-Little Tokyo/Arts District B & D share Wilshire/Vermont to Union Station C & K share Aviation/Century to LAX/Metro Transit Center (future)
Oh dang great observation, thisll limit the frequencies of metro trains but it doesnt appear that metro intends to run trains more than 8-10 minutes between each train per line so this should be possible although reliability of the lines are decreased
I hope to do a video on that soon! The tickets can be a bit costly especially if i do several flyaway rides in a day, so ill see how good the videos do on the LAX to Union Station line and ill go from there! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
If only the Siemens P2000 trains were to still be running the C Line, they would have been running the K Line for the very first time, as well as the underground tunnel near the east end of LAX Airport's south runway. Well, they might come back on the C Line or perhaps run the K Line once all AnsaldoBreda P2550 trains on the A Line get refurbished by Kinkisharyo.
I'd love to see P2000 trains back on the C Line and on the K Line when more of those trains get refurbished!! The P2000 are one of my favorite light rail trains!!
Any idea when the new LAX station will open? They’ve repeatedly said all of the C and K lines would open this month but now they’re saying the LAX station isn’t even opening *this year.* Do you know anything about that?
Why can't the K line train carry passengers and run pass the LAX Transit Center stations? The station is not fully completed but the tracks were completed already. It can eliminate the 857 shuttle
I think they are still working on the station building itself unfortunately, but the tracks are complete so they are taking the opportunity to practice the through-running of the K line! I hope it opens soon though, this project is already running so late
I was thinking of also making videos specifically for these lines however the shuttles should be going away in a few months if the LAX transit center opens in a timely matter, but i'll be sure to have videos on the new LAX shuttles thatll run as the people mover wont be finished, thanks for watching and commenting!
I will be filming around there once the LAX people mover opens! Hopefully that happens sooner than later though as its been plagued with delays, thanks for watching and commenting!
It is, however once the LAX Metro center opens, this station will become slightly redundant since if your heading to LAX, you would continue one more stop, so I can see why they would have a smaller size station since its ultimately meant to be a smaller intermediate stop.
This is so cool!! I'd like to see a cab view to and from Aviation/Century from Norwalk and Redondo Bch if you can.
Thank you!! That can ride is already out for members only, it’ll be released in a week or so here!
@@TigerRailfan Sounds great!!:))!!

Awesome, I love it
Same here 😀🤟🏾
I'm glad! Thanks for watching Im glad I was able to put this video together quickly after opening day :)
Suggestion: checkout flyaway bus station in Van Nuys it’s so cool it’s indoor with bunch of seats !
I live in Ventura County now but when I lived in the Valley I really liked using the Flyaway bus from Van Nuys Airport.
@@bbartkythe Volvo buses they have are really cool

I wish they were still running also! Gives great variety on the line

Anywhere between November through January at this point.
From this month till January 2025, when the regional connector was testing testing lasted about 2 1/2 months before opening
Yes by January it should be open! Construction is finished so it should nearly be there.
4:24 here comes an out of service train
Yep! These are the K line trains from redondo beach, heading through the new LAX transit center without passengers.

Should've filmed the southbound for the C and K line bus shuttles, so people can know where to board it, just like you've filmed the northbound stop.

So people get kicked off at Aviation and Century while the train continues north empty to Aviation and Veteran where it picks up passengers again?
Yes, i wish they already finished the testing but they need to do that to ensure reliability of the new route, thanks for commenting!
Walk around the new Rental Car Station..........
I will be filming around there once the LAX people mover opens! Hopefully that happens sooner than later though as its been plagued with delays, thanks for watching and commenting!
the platform too small , today we barely fitted waitin for the C / Norwalk train ,, plus also too slow the trains and always late
