Hailee definitely nailed the 80s vibe of Bumblebee. In its own universe this is what Transformers should have been, the OG live action will have a special place for me being the movie that really got me hooked with Transformers but Bumblebee and the whole G1 reinterpretation from the opening sequence is really special!
I like that this song has a particular meaning when it's seen in the context of Bumblebee. (SPOILERS ahead) When Charlie revives Bumblebee, she literally brought him back to life so that he could complete his mission. But Bumblebee had also brought Charlie back to life, throughout his interactions with her in the movie. The truth was that she was living lifelessly before Bumblebee entered her life. He might have destroyed her house (lol), but he managed to bring Charlie close to her family again, because the events proved to Charlie that her family will still stick by her side despite these odds. And of course, this song seems to have a retro vibe as well, which makes it all the more awesome.
The song could also reference when Charlie did the things that she used to do with her dad even tho he isn't there anymore, when she completed the car at the end it could have ment that she brought a part of her dad back.
This also makes a lot curious that what happens to Charlie during the first Transformer movie? I know this may make some Michael Bay Transformer fans mad but I really think after Bumblebee, Transformer movie deserves a reboot.
How good was it! I just watched it today, enjoyed it way more then the bayverse despite growing up with it. The fight choreography was really clean too!
Agree this is honestly the funniest movie ever. I never laughed so hard that I wanted to throw up from the stomach pain. It was a good movie overrall. Funny, Great Actors, Inspiring, the villains were better than any micheal bay decepticons, so many 80s movie references, the character build up was good for every character. The only think I didnt like is that they showed very little of the war on cyberton but its ok because it was more of a bumblee solo film

That is why at the start they said 1987 meaning that this is the first appearance of the transformers in Earth, because the 2007 movie was about the fight between both "races of warring robots make Earth their final battleground.(Googled it)" But I agree this movie was overall awesome.

I remember going out with my friends the day Bumblebee first came out and we all enjoyed the movie
It's a feeling I haven't had in such a long time and it's definitely something worth coming back to
I'm ashamed I didn't see this movie in theaters. To this day I haven't seen anything past Dark of the Moon. When this was announced it was a giant eye-roll for me. Wasn't till it hit streaming I watched it. Great acting, story, message, and family friendly! Can't wait for Beast Wars!!

I feel like this movie gave feelings to the Autobot movie franchise. The others were all actions and guns (which THIS movie had as well, btw), but they lacked... depth. Emotion. I dunno, life.

I hope we see more from the screenwriter too! She did a fantastic job on the script! The fact that Charlie didn't *need* a romantic interest in other characters was what really stood out to me as a big difference from the previous movies. Loved it!
