On October 5th, 2022 WUSC celebrated World Teachers Day with a virtual panel discussion with Sarah Dryden-Peterson, author of Right Where We Belong : How Refugee Teachers and Students Are Changing the Future of Education along with Gorad Muhumed, student of the Student Refugee Program and Suleika Abdi Ibrahim, Teacher in Dadaab. Our panel discussion explored important lessons from the groundbreaking work that refugee teachers and learners are undertaking to deliver inclusive education for all.
Right Where We Belong explores the experiences of refugee teachers and students in order to illustrate how they are changing the future of education despite the many challenges they face.
