I also got one for $349aud in the black Friday sales. Been limping along a s10e and really didn't want a down grade but didn't want to spend 5-600 on a replacement. Incredible phone for that price
You should have mentioned the 5 years of OS upgrades, that's a big plus for me. Still trying to figure out what to purchase if my Poco F3 stops working when Optus tells me it will (in about 4 weeks).
@@83dude There's a big difference between only getting 2 or 3 updates and getting 5. Definitely not irrelevant. This phone will go all the way up to Android 19.
Are you sure that you need proprietary wireless charger for motorola edge neo? I could not find that info.Only that it is regular qi standard and no qi2 but you can use any qi charger no need to buy special one from Motorola.
Hey! Sorry for the confusion! The proprietary charger is just for the 15W fast wireless charging. You can still charge it on a regular Qi charger (or even a Qi2 charger) but you won't get the 15W... for those speeds, you need the proprietary Motorola wireless charger.
Nice video, thanks for making this! Can you tell anything about call quality of this phone? I just had to send a 500€ smartphone back to the store a couple of days ago, as the call quality was awful. I wish smartphone manufacturers paid more attention to the QC of these expensive gadgets, as the basic core functions are still the key features for many users out there.
No, UI is pretty fast. As per the standard processing speed of Dimensity 7300 you can expect day to day UI experience good enough. Will not give you a problem regarding UI.
I just got this phone. Has a lot of software bugs. Hopefully they fix with updates soon. Selfie cam takes super blurry photos. Battery dies so quickly. Can't recognise my face to keep the screen on or unlock in dim lighting. Screen colours are not quite right to me. On natural, the colour is a little too muted, and the tint is yellow by default. Setting the tint close to cool helps. They include a protective cover that keeps the sides exposed. Text is too small by default. All up, I'm annoyed by the phone.
Interesting I also just bought this phone and the battery is fantastic it lasts a long time im not sure why you are experiencing issues I hope they get fixed
I'm long term Samsung user.. There is good deal for second spare phone, so to speak and regarding price and what it offers its much attractive to me from different point of views.. What i dont know is how Mediatek Dimensity 7300 provide smoothness.. For example, 8 ball pool game would be played once in a while, its sensitive to touch and dont know if it'll provide efficient smoothness (dont know if thats tje right term in this field) 😊.. Well.. I bought it.. the camera software is what ruins it. No options to turn off Auto HDR or Shot Optimisation - the automatic (and forced) auto-processing ruins every photo I take. I can't recommend it.. Motorola support doesn't seem interested to fix that..
“Better” is a loaded term. The Pro model has a faster processor, for example, but does that make it better? I tested all four edge 50 models, and the Neo was my favourite. It’s not the fastest, but it feels good in the hand, looks good and has a stunning screen. If I had to choose, I would pick the Neo. But that’s personal preference. If you want the best available processor, get the Pro. The Fusion is all about compromising for price, and the edge 50 model is a bit lost among the others.
@@bttrreviews when you mention you tested all four edge 50 models, does it include 50 Ultra? Or are those Edge 50, Edge 50 Pro, Edge 50 Fusion and Edge 50 Neo? Asking because Edge 50 Ultra would be my favorite, although it's not cheap compared to other models.
@@juhahiltunen3548 Yeah, the four doesn't include the Ultra, sorry. The Edge 50 Ultra hasn't been launched in Australia where I'm based (yet), so I haven't been able to check that one out.
Ooh, completely different offerings. If you want a flagship experience, Samsung's S25 is the way to go. If you want a more affordable option, then the Neo is a great choice 🙂
@@NathanBee3 Motorola is one of the top four smartphone brands by sales, and has a long history in Australia. I think it's more a case of the Moto brand being sold a few times in the past decade that gives that impression. Samsung is going to be faster with rolling out updates, but I have no concern Motorola will roll them out. They'll probably just be a bit slower. I am using this phone, overall I am satisfied with this one. I can easily recomend this anyone who are not extremely high end gamer.
Great review. No bs and straight to the point.
Thanks so much!
Just snagged one for $355! Stoked! Thanks for the great review
What a bargain! Great work!

Good honest review but the deal breaker is the underpowered slow processor you be better of with a second hand flagship anyday for a little more money

The big question is - now that phones like the Pixel 8a are about the same price (brand new), would you still recommend the Moto?
Does it beat the new Sony Xperia 10VI?
Does the ui lags ?
I never noticed lagging with the UI. It did drop frames during gaming or when I moved the camera quickly though.
