Yes,I agree! Avery Schreiber was a great character actor and comedian. We don't have guys like these anymore. It was silly,slapstick,innocent humor. Unlike the stupid commercials now.

I am from Chicago and grew up on these commercials throughout my childhood in the 70s & 80s. I have lived near your father's shop since I moved out here over 15 years ago. I've never taken that for granted. And I love Doritos. Thank you for this channel, peace!
@@skywalker6268 Non-GMO corn, non-GMO cheese, decent quality salt.... Better ingredients..... I am almost 60 and yes, Doritios were way better all the way up to about 1984ish. They changed in taste and quality at least to me back then. BTW, "Late July" has an even better version of Doritios. "Late July" has way more cheese flavor, some heat, thicker chips all with much better ingredients than Doritios.
I have Covid for the first time, so I'm watching The Love Boat to pass the days. Avery was in the hurricane episode, and I knew him but couldn't remember exactly in what. My hubby immediately said, "He's the Doritos guy and a great comedian." I appreciate the commercial being posted. It made me smile. (And yes, he got the girl at the end of the show!)
