Thank you so much for this video. My security company sold me a 12V 7 Ah battery for my DSC PC 1616 that had an original 12V 4.5 Ah battery. It was very easy to replace, but unsure why they would have changed from 4.5 to 7 Ah. I have written to them for an answer. Also appreciate that A-1 has this information for its customers. My security company originally recommended a service call. I was certain I could do it myself, and after seeing this video, knew I could manage the replacement. Sorry my company doesn't post customer information tips like A-1. Thanks again!
The battery is bigger and now that most people are upgrading from landline to cellular monitoring so battery will last longer in a power outage I know that our has lasted at over 10 hours
NOTE: SOME DSC CONTROL PANELS HAVE 4 AA BATTERIES (located lnternally), SOME DO NOT, REPEAT NOT. SOME OTHER DSC BATTERY REPLACEMENT VIDEOS DIRECT YOU TO "BANG ON THE BOTTOM" OF THE CONTROL UNIT UNTIL IT COMES UP AND OFF: IF YOUR CONTROL PANEL DOES NOT HAVE INTERNAL BATTERIES, THAT METHOD WILL DESTROY THE CONTROL PANEL. CONFIRM WHICH TYPE YOU HAVE. [Yes: until determined examination kicked-in, I nearly made that mistake this morning. Aloha]
Just to make sure, this is the LCD5501Z-433, right? Just moved into a new place with one and it needs a new battery. Unfortunately we can't seem to find the power box.
my ADT I checked screen and it said BAT. Guess need to replace the battery like you mentioned. the battery is for backup in case main power from outlet is out right? so don't need to replace the bat right away. another question the motion sensor near stairs, it seems to be not sensitive, walked in front of it many times sometimes it doesn't trigger it at all, replace the battery and also check for dust around it and still no luck, any tips? thanks for the helpful vid
Hello! Do you know what the red and black terminals cable is called for the battery or where I can buy one? When I recycled my old battery, I accidentally thew out the default power cable that came with it.
Thanks for taking the time! Super easy to follow the video and DIY!!!

7Ah batteries are better because they last longer on power outages. They did you a favour. :)

Very clear video. I wasn't sure if the power could stay on. Simple job, but very helpful. Thanks.
Thanks. Most other videos sent me on a wild goose chase about expired batteries at the remote stations.

Very nice explanation. Do I need to turn down power?

Is it possible to get a 5 sec buzz from the power panel itself without a trouble indicator at the keyboard panel indicating system battery problem?
Nice job on the video, thank you!

Can I use a 12v 1.3Ah battery instead of the 12v 4Ah battery?
Hello can you please confirm the battery replacement part number? Or normally where I can buy it?
the 3 to 1 day charge time is the takeaway after installing the battery.

Where do I get one of these batteries
So the Alarm won’t go off? If I replace it?
Thank you so much for video
