Sir 15:56 you explain the .vmsd but didn't explain .vmsn (these files are used for VMware snapshots. A VMSN file is used to store the exact state of the virtual machine when the snapshot was taken.)

Check your snapshot ....if snapshots running with vm please delete snapshot then try to increase
while I have already space available, still should I delete the snapshot?
