I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.

@@Elliot-Ivan The crazy part is that those advisors are probably outperforming the market and raising good returns but some are charging fees over fees that drain your portfolio. Is this the case with yours too?
Thanks for the video! Is there a lag when executing a market order? May get killed with the slippage.
Can you have it automate the trading if you are using a tradingview strategy? Or does interactive brokers connection only allow manual trading?
I like how it calculates your share amount based on the $ amount you want to risk. Saves me a lot of time

Why is it that when i signed into my interactive platform on trading view my market entries dont have the TP and SL for me to adjust? But when i sign into the paper trading the TP and SL are there. Any clue on how to add them when im signed into my live account??
What's the fill time like when you submit an order? I've connected my IB account to other platforms and the fill times are awful. Very laggy, even Market Orders get filled super slow and end up missing entries/exits.

Does anyone know if routing your account through trading view increases your latency and the time it takes to fill orders.
It's definitely going to. You don't have the flexiblity of going straight through the broker. I wouldn't do it if all you're doing is scalping for like a few pennies on penny stocks. IBKR as an example allows you to route to different exchanges to get better fills too, and when you're shorting, I don't know how you'd ask IBKR to pay for locates if you're shorting an IPO or penny stock that isn't very popular let's say. It closes the IBKR trader workstation for me, so I got no control over anything. I haven't tried opening it up on mobile to see if i can use it without logging me out of the trading view connection either.

Yes you can sign out of the broker (very similar to how you signed in) and sign to a new one that is offered

Can I trade nas100 on interactive broker
Why is there no cursor (arrow) moving around with mouse movements? I just can't get used to this and when you watch people trading or doing tutorials you can't see what they are doing or what they are clicking on. They move around the screen so fast you don't know how to do what they are doing.....very frustrating!

I'm connected to IBKR but unfortunately the DOM icon is not being displayed. Anything I can do?
I believe they have now moved it. Once connected to your broker there should now be a "trade" icon at the bottom of the screen which allows you to open up the trading widgets
What is the difference between stop and stop limit in buy orders?
Stop - a market order to get you out at any price no matter how fast or slow the execution of your broker is; risk slippage in volatile stocks and getting out at worse prices than you want
Stop Limit - the stop portion of this order is just a trigger to tell your broker to put in your limit order once the trigger is hit. ex. You tell your broker, if the stock hits 1.54 (the Stop in Stop Limit), please put in a limit order for me at 1.52 for x amount of shares (this is the LIMIT part) Think of STOP LIMIT orders as TRIGGER LIMIT orders instead. It's just a confusing way they named it.

Disagree. Level 2 on IBK is much more complex with time and sales but I don't wanna trade on that garbage platform.

They removed it. Shift+D to open DOM.

Who is the data provider in this case ? Can I get the data (chart feed) from IBKR into tradingview ?
You can get the data from IBK but you don't see level 2 the same way as you see it on the IBK platform. Which is not as good.

@joelstephenson2146 you need day margin which is the minimum amount of money for your cme or future or what ever you choose to trade. I did cme and futures and I had to have $80 in
You gotta keep a constant 80 in if you don't wanna put more in but if you put more in don't go below 80 or they take your money
@N0_Revan for me they said I had to have a constant balance of $2500.00 before I could trade,even penny stocks 🤦♀️
