No doubt. George told me years ago he lost over 1.1 million on that 1990 cd......which was a loss financially. I was like, how? Ha....Incredible release, but we know what happened in 1991-1992. Thanks for video David
First saw Mr. Scary with Dokken in ‘80-something. Got a Lynch Mob pick from the early ‘90s, courtesy of my little sister in Phoenix. One of the few great players whose rhythm playing remains on par with his insane approach to lead. Bravo!
That for this Dave, killer episode!! Most of us mere mortals believe George absolutely is one of the faces on the guitarist’s Mt. Rockmore! Best Damn Channel Out There🤘
One of my favorite solos George ever put to tape was from "Beast From The East" at the very end. Their last studio track before breaking up. The song is "Just Walk Away" but the solo is haunting. The way it ends with a sound like that of a gunshot gets me every time
George has always been my favorite guitar player! He puts so much feeling and passion into his playing. I just don't get excited by many other players.
Dammit Dave! You have no idea how much money I have spent on CDs and albums since I started watching your channel! Why do you have to always showcase the best of an artist/ group! Don't get me wrong, I am so grateful to you and your musical taste, but you keep showing ideas and bands I knew about but wasn't in to back in the day. Now I want to buy everything put out by too many bands. I need to win the lottery to afford all of the music you have introduced me to that I honestly dig. I guess wisdom does come with age. Dammit.
George Lynch is one of the best guitar players to come out of the 80s LA metal scene. Very impeccable playing. There's a 2013, HQ YT vid of his group live in Japan that really is a treat to see, where he plays Lynch Mob and some Dokken tracks. Awesome guitar playing, and he's playing his famous tiger-stripe guitar in that show, too.
Amazing... my 2nd favourite guitar player ever. Mr. Scary is killer. His harmonics and unnorthodox approach to guitar is so cool. I love the use of triads and sus chords that he, Warren de Martini and Jake E. Lee made. And, of course, the king, EVH. As you said it yourself, there's a very strong relation between the way Warren, George and Jake play, and they are all kind of post-EVH generation, although George is older, but definitly they all drinked on EVH. I consider Nuno Bettencourt to be a kind of an "late post-EVH era" rock guitar player; the generation of players that where majorly influenced by Eddie.
Very accurate description of the 80's guitar world. I'd even say Warren, George and Jake are all "tasty" players. The outro on "Round and round " is so fluid. They are also "quirky".
Great breakdown Just was listening to these albums earlier today. Never gets old after all these years George has said he not a music theory guy. But def can't deny his guitar playing.....killer riffs and interesting chords. Thanks for hitting some of second lynch mob album songs
Just saw Lynch a couple of weeks ago in Vegas and he is still incredible and seems to be having a ton of fun. He is the reason I picked up the guitar when I was twelve. Great lesson
Another great lessons Dave. Lynch’s catalog is so large at this point. His playing on his newer stuff with The End Machine, Dirty Shirley, Sweet & Lynch, and KXM still kicks ass.
Just fantastic!!! Always loved Lynch He looked for the the scariest sounds. Just love his style and him,!!!! The solo from Alone again is still an absolute classic. Put that one in a 3 fer. Fantastic lesson David thx!!!? Always take something useful and fun to play or practice away.!!! 🎸
Cheers for this! Lynch isnt a guitarist that comes to mind of you ask me to name my favourites, but looking back his rhythm and lead playing is absolutely spectacular, he's one of the few guitarists with a sound of his own and I love the big extended chords he uses; such great texture especially in a single guitar band.
What?! A chord from George Lynch ?? Those are as rare as rocking horse sh*t Dave. Love him and his licks. My all time favourite REH video for sheer Spinal tap esque comedy value is his instructional one….distortion on 11 and delay and reverb on 12!!🤣🤣 Great video and well put together as always
Hey Brother no one does a cover of Lesser of two evils and the neat tapping segment at the intro! Just throwing it out there and great job on George! Rock on!
The more of your Lynch videos that I watch, the more it seems that George's chordal phrasing and shapes are built around an economy of movement around the neck. Am I nuts? Thanks for all the Lynch Love Dave!
Hell yeah man is it going to be a good lesson I saw a video of them a couple months ago but dude can still shred man can't wait to get off work this is going to be a fun one thanks again for your time and knowledge
thanks dave killer tone on the lynch chords you got the groove going for back for the attack and lynch mob albums!!! awesome lesson and keep shreddin'!! ... \m/
Love the Jeff Beck "Guitar Shop" picture; that was my first Jeff Beck back in like . . . whenever it came out. I of course know and love George lynch as well!
I have George Lynch stories; to say the least, some third or mayb fourth distant cousin wanted to live in San Diego for a semester or two, and he had Dokken recorded on a tape(along with Queensryche's "Take hold of the flame"
George is a high level pro rock guitarist…to play any of his leads note-for-note, you gotta be on top of your game…you’re no slouch if you can pull it off…me, I can’t do it😳
I heard someone post a stupid comment about how George sounds like he doesn't know how to play anymore. I don't agree with that at all, but in think a lot of people don't understand George is always learning new stuff and he's not content to just stay with the same stuff he did in the 80's. Seems like he's always coming up with some new stuff. Honestly, I don't always like it and I'm stuck on his 80' s style stuff, but it doesn't take away from the fact that he is a legend .
Have you done one on Ian Fletcher Thornley of Big Wreck? Love Georgie btw! He’s in my top 10 along with Reb Beach, Joel Hoelkstra, Nuno Bettencourt, John Sykes, and my man EVH reigning supreme at Numero Uno!
I just want to say that you always have amazing content. You dive deep into the music without bogging down and making it too technical. I love the way you teach and your humble spirit. What kind of amp are you using? Your tone is really nice on this one and all episodes. Anything different? Settings/pedal wise? I really like the sound you are getting.
Hey bro. When you tune down on that guitar, do you change string gauge or do a quick setup on it?? ie..neck relief, intonation..etc??🤟🤟 also, your knowledge of chords is just sick man. You're such a monster player.👍👍🍻
Awesome! Wicked Sensation is hands down my favorite record of all time. It never gets old.
Agreed.
Great stuff, thanks for doing this.
Wicked Sensation is a stone cold classic album.
'Wicked Sensation' album is a masterpiece. Absolutely timeless.
Still stands up today. One of the few albums I can’t get sick of. I always find extra things going on after all these years. Brilliant
No doubt. George told me years ago he lost over 1.1 million on that 1990 cd......which was a loss financially. I was like, how? Ha....Incredible release, but we know what happened in 1991-1992. Thanks for video David
True, listened to it about a month ago, hadn't heard it in ages/years, it sounds fkn amazing, songs are soo good and the performances are amazing.
@@charliesmith4229 huh? I don't know
And sadly the last time George sounded inspired or fresh...
Great channel for the connoiseur guitarist to hang out and always something new to learn
"Rain" has some kick-ass chords, sheer Lynch in a nutshell.
Listening to Tooth and Nail when I got the notification.
Twisted triads great name for an instrumental.
George is one of the alltime greatest!
George is definitely a legend... At 56 I thankfully got to see Dokken and Lynch Mob in there Hair Day
I was hoping you would open with Wicked Sensation
George Lynch *rocks* … so does this lesson
Awesome David!!! Glad you got to get More of George Lynch! His playing is Amazing! Never gets Old to hear some George Lynch.
First saw Mr. Scary with Dokken in ‘80-something. Got a Lynch Mob pick from the early ‘90s, courtesy of my little sister in Phoenix. One of the few great players whose rhythm playing remains on par with his insane approach to lead. Bravo!
Awesome! Love Lynch's rhythm style. King of the flat 5! 🤘🎶
I love George's playing on "Sleepless Night"....probably my fav Lynch track.
Cry of the Gypsy is fun to play, along with one of George's best solo's on that song too.
The way it ends with a sound like that of a gunshot gets me every time
This Lynch....thanks you🙏love the way seen George in recent videos playing older guitars not just 'super strats'
How about ........Samantha Fish?
Please do a session on Lynch’s work with KXM. That is where Lynch reaches his peak regarding chord works.
Thanks Dave .... Love George!
I saw George and I thought Thoroughgood. My bad🤣🤣🤣🎸🎸🎸🎸 great video as always
When you gona do Chord play of David Brewster
This was a Great lesson..You explain things in a very detailed way.
"The Brotherhood" has some great songs and licks from George on that album. Dave, you should do something from that. 👍🎸
Black Heart Days is an incredibly groovy guitar track.
George has always been my favorite guitar player! He puts so much feeling and passion into his playing. I just don't get excited by many other players.
If you haven’t covered Robin Trower yet, that would be epic
Great job David! The video of Dokken unplugged "One Live Night" really highlights how cool these songs were as well.
Dammit Dave! You have no idea how much money I have spent on CDs and albums since I started watching your channel! Why do you have to always showcase the best of an artist/ group! Not to mention Vito Bratta. His playing is full of triads and sus chords.
And I agree with you 100% regarding Nuno. Next to Eddie, Nuno is my favorite guitar player.
GEORGE! Awesome lesson David, hands down my all time favorite player. Can never get enough of Lynch. Five ESP strats up for this video! 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Great breakdown
Just was listening to these albums earlier today.
Never gets old after all these years
George has said he not a music theory guy.
But def can't deny his guitar playing.....killer riffs and interesting chords.

David is one of the best teachers on RUclips!
I was 16 when Under Lock and Key came out , I blew out the speakers in my Dads Ford ranger cruising the country roads at night!! Great lesson Dave!
Just saw Lynch a couple of weeks ago in Vegas and he is still incredible and seems to be having a ton of fun. He is the reason I picked up the guitar when I was twelve. Great lesson
Enjoyed that. Great sound. Thanks.
George Lynch, YESSS !!! Thank you !!!
Another great lessons Dave. Lynch’s catalog is so large at this point. His playing on his newer stuff with The End Machine, Dirty Shirley, Sweet & Lynch, and KXM still kicks ass.
Really great job covering Lynch, he is one my guitar idols also. Just love how he comes up with all this different approaches.
Just fantastic!!! Always loved Lynch
He looked for the the scariest sounds. Just love his style and him,!!!!

Thanks David for doing another interesting video!
Instant like. Waking up the neighbors tonight

Once again, totally in my "wheelhouse" huge thanks.
I appreciate Lynch playing A LOT more now. guy is phenomenal!
Randy Roads & George Lynch. My favs
15:31 wow, that sounds a lot like the intro to Motley Crue's "City Boy Blues" ... I've never equated George and Mick before... great lesson!
Wow, you're right.
Great lesson! I love Lynch. Dokken rules!! Thanks.
Hell yeah man is it going to be a good lesson I saw a video of them a couple months ago but dude can still shred man can't wait to get off work this is going to be a fun one thanks again for your time and knowledge

Wicked sensation
Awesome lesson again. Would love to see you deep dive a band like Junkyard. Underrated guitar player. The lead on Hollywood is killer!
Love this Lesson!!
My man, making good tones with an old shunned behringer pod copy. Don't let anyone tell you you shouldn't like it. Sounds great man
I think the chords of operation mind crime would be a good episode. That album was huge for me.
thanks so much for this one dave! excellent song selection
Hey man, it's a real joy learning from you. Well done matey...
Love it! Inspirational
Thanks for the lesson!!
Amazing content dude! My favourite guitar channel
He does that same type chord play on Its Not Love. Been playing it since high School 1986
Well done as usual, thanks Dave!
George Lynch, the inventor of the "haunted house " sound.
Love your channel and Lynch! You do a great job with your content and descriptions.
Oni Logan was magical on that record.
The next guitarist I was into after Rhoades!👍👍👍👍 You could do lessons on George for weeks and I won't go to work!😁
Very cool!! Thanks for sharing.. peAce
Yes!
George is a high level pro rock guitarist…to play any of his leads note-for-note, you gotta be on top of your game…you’re no slouch if you can pull it off…me, I can’t do it😳
I always thought George Lynch would hit paydirt if he had licensed Wicked Sensation for a jock itch spray commercial. Perfect fit?
👍 YES BRO 😎🎸🎸
I heard someone post a stupid comment about how George sounds like he doesn't know how to play anymore. I don't agree with that at all, but in think a lot of people don't understand George is always learning new stuff and he's not content to just stay with the same stuff he did in the 80's. What kind of amp are you using? Your tone is really nice on this one and all episodes. Anything different? Settings/pedal wise? I really like the sound you are getting.
George Lynch is a Bit Underrated ..He has SUCH cool Stuff !
Awesome! 👍😛✌For some reason that very last chord of the riff doesn't sound right though!
George is one nasty guitar player. Endless ideas for an "un-schooled" player. Thanks again, Dave.
Why was there a brief moment in time all the shredders were coming out of SoCal?
Wicked sensations
Mr lynch should be called Mr flat 5th. . He is amazing
Great video and channel
How is the Behringer rack different from Behringer amp you use to use in videos?
Hey bro. When you tune down on that guitar, do you change string gauge or do a quick setup on it?? ie..neck relief, intonation..etc??🤟🤟 also, your knowledge of chords is just sick man. You're such a monster player.👍👍🍻
Have you ever done Wilton/ degarmo. Chord play Queesryche?
