Indian Commemorative coins have been issued in remembrance of many great personalities since 1964. Maharana Pratap was one such great personality for whom commemorative coins were issued by Indian Government not once but twice, which is rare to see. Maharana Pratap, a great Indian Rajput King of Mewar who fought many battles against Mughals for his motherland and never accepted defeat till his last breath.
To commemorate this legend, First Maharana Pratap 1 Rs Coin was issued in the year 2003 and second Maharana Pratap Coin 10 Rs coin was issued in 2016. This 10 Rs coin was issued on 475th Birth Anniversary of Maharana Pratap. Both these coins were circulated coins.
