Heck yeah, clear those streets!
These homeless can be sent to slab city. It’s an rv utopia there.
controversial? anyone with children would agree to ban homeless near schools
edited, prev msg didn’t save
Yeah controversial seems a bit of an overreach.
@@MiMiiViVi YES! I agree, and have been pushing that very thing. The idea that there will ever be enough housing in the region that is "affordable" is beyond laughable. So instead of creating droves of homeless, have a country wide program that helps people find jobs and relocate to the other states that have a much MUCH lower cost of living.
They could relocate them to Mexico in which housing is very affordable and so is the healthcare…. For $350 a month paid by CA taxes a person can live comfortably in Mexico
😂😂 ban Homeless? And how exactly do you plan on doing that Einstein. 😂😂
@@TurboK24z court orders “red flagging” anyone who is a danger to self or others. Use the force of the state to take custody of them, make them wards of the state until they are no longer a danger to themselves or others by forcing them into supervised housing complexes with on site work training and a perimeter that stops all drugs from getting in.
Most of the street level homelessness is people refusing treatment for mental health or drug addiction reasons.
Too much money in homelessness…governments don’t want to fix it.
Slab city is there. Ship them there. Then keep them there.
Anything but solve the problem
All these cities keep kicking the can down the road.
Make it illegal and start towing , impounding these vehicles.
With that being said
There needs to be some sort of large lot / open space where these people can park and set up a home base .
If the city has too tow them all to a specific location and they can stay there .
Have power and restroom / shower setups like at a typical camp spot .
It’s called Slab City, google it.
These homeless will continue to do it if the system allows it and tolerates it. It’s when the govt enforces the laws and along with the hardworking citizens that have had enough when it will stop.
Way to late ,, we are so far behind , San Jose looks like a sh## hole , after this get rid of this Graffiti!!!!
Instead of getting rid of the graffiti why not get rid of the graffiti taggers? Getting rid of graffiti itself won’t eliminate the problem. New measures need to be taken. Enforce the laws criminalize the lowlifes and the Gangs and ghetto individuals with bigger prison sentence. They don’t want to reform-then to the cell. They are not assets to society anyways only liabilities. I pass by the Bay Area beautiful emerald green mountains but along the way I see tagger writings on buildings and trains. These need to be prosecuted.
Your kids are doing the graffiti 😂
@@jdos5643 Taggers are not the problem ,,, they have talent , its just like calling kids who use to skateboard, delinquents. Why because they skated on private property? They have alot of contribution to society, they are artists you know . look what they did with the skateboard punks , they have a legitimate skate park , some of those old skate punks in L.A that use to Skate empty pools and tresspas are now worth millions doing what they love. With all the tech we have , they can't come up with non graffiti paint ???
Sadly, many street homeless die alone quietly abandoned by everybody. What's even more sad is their bodies get eaten by other homeless and stray animals and disappear in darkness.
We will be a nation of Americans living in our vehicles soon since housing is unaffordable for people making less than $100,000.00 a year, especially in California.
Housing and rentals should be regulated. It should never cost 2,000 for an apartment box. Apt should be around 500-600 monthly everywhere.
Buy a house in Detroit
Sadly, many street homeless die alone quietly abandoned by everybody. What's even more sad is their bodies get eaten by other homeless and stray animals and disappear in darkness.
Just don’t be like Oakland or SF. For SJ Mayor, just don’t be Breed or Sheng Tao 🙄
Breed and Sheng Tao need to be voted out!!
The mayor of San Jose is a Republican
Low bar to set your standard on.
@@Andorski that is true lmao but SJ is way better than Oakland
Oakland is a shithole worst than 3rd world city.
Sadly, many street homeless die alone quietly abandoned by everybody. What's even more sad is their bodies get eaten by other homeless and stray animals and disappear in darkness.
They don’t look homeless. They all have motorhomes. Pretty rich homeless. Where i live, homeless are actually homeless. Sleeping under the stars.
They're likely immobile.
Unnecessary.
Is "homeless" illegal?
The solution is called county jail.
I have a homeless guy that regularly weekly goes through our neighborhood, trash cans and he literally cat calls at me and it's disgusting and I can't do nothing about it. I can only imagine what kids have to go through. There should not be any homeless people living and and being right next to playgrounds watching these kids doing God knows what
What do you mean he catcalls you? Is he like saying here kitty kitty? Muah muah here puss puss? Is that what you mean by that?
If you rent a car do you have car. Your going to have to give it back so technically those people are carless. If you pay rent its not your home. They can choose not to renew your lease. Therefore you are technically homeless even though you pay rent. Its not yours. These people who live in RVs own their home. No lease. No one to walk in and do inspections. No one can kick you out. Thats their home. No one to tell you how many people you can have in your home. And best thing is rent never goes up.
They don't properly dispose of waste if their not in a designated RV parks.
@@gibbygoober2864 thats not everyone. These stories never cover the hard working Americans who pay their taxes working full time. They are using their narrative to paint a picture that suits their agenda to get the people to be against RVs. Their are people who dump and they live in a house does that mean everyone that lives in a house is a dumper too. People have the freedom to make their own decisions either if its good or bad but to discriminate is like being racist.
Damn, that's a lot of homeless RVs! Totally insane.
Invest in tow co.
they should be voting on stopping the real estate interests from making housing unaffordable. vote to give better health care and services.
Sadly, many street homeless die alone quietly abandoned by everybody. What's even more sad is their bodies get eaten by other homeless and stray animals and disappear in darkness.
There's too many schools for most cities. Overcrowding makes everything worse and California is one of the worst at overcrowding. They should just make like a skid row or a mission district mission street where they have like ten or twenty homeless shelters to shower and feed and possibly sleep and locker up and not do the whole sober living and the whole insane asylums programs and the whole um permanent resident alternative sentence programming thing. I mean send those dudes to a care facility or whatever and let the homeless shelters be a homeless shelters. Hey soldiers can camp it out sane and safe is something we can all work on.
Buses homeless people to the desert and leave them there!
There’s slab city. Ppl live there in RVs. The homeless of California can all be sent there. And kept there. If they don’t want to Reform and better themselves.
NO TRAILER MOBILE HOMES OR RVS ALLOWED LIVING IN SAN JOSE CA
Sure, clearing encampments parked in front of schools is probably a good thing. However, the downside of this is that the displaced vehicles will simply move a few blocks from those locations and park in front of my house - with trash and garbage all around the sidewalks and RVs. And, surprise, surprise, calling 311 will yield no results. Yet, the city has zero issues forcing me to pay $5000 to redo a cracked sidewalk in front of my home. But, it's okay for homeless people to place actual junk, garbage, and trash onto the sidewalk I paid for - blocking the sidewalk to pedestrians. This sort of attitude, allowing this to happen, from city leaders is outright dysfunctional and a freaking scam.
Then handle it yourself
It works!
Also give hard drug dealers fueling homeless insanity long prison time.
Time for citizens to stop paying taxes
Clearing homeless one place will just mean the problem will move elsewhere. When you clear elsewhere then the problem goes back to the same spot .
@@jdos5643 Make less homeless people by throwing hard drug dealers in jail.
Goddamn advocates
Compost people!
Send them to Oakland
Should be the entire area of San Jose’s borders, it’s a health hazard to get to the schools or grocery stores
Laura looks so tiny next to him!!!
Why worry about paying to make affordable homes for people to live in when the income homeless people don't get enough money monthly to pay their rent.
Where's the real campsites?
They should make the creeks a campsite.
How about colleges are okay though to camp by.
Schools are everywhere though.
So allocate land for the homeless(because kicking them out of the area is just making it someone’s else’s problem 😪)
There’s slab city. I say they need to be sent there if they don’t want to reform.
Sadly, many street homeless die alone quietly abandoned by everybody. What's even more sad is their bodies get eaten by other homeless and stray animals and disappear in darkness.
OH YA CITY LEADERS WHAT A JOKE ...
Open a rv park for this type of living with all the necessary hook-ups. Also set-up a camping park for this type of living. If you wanna “live free” you should only be allowed to do so in these designated spots. It’s not fare to folks that want to live indoors. What about our rights?!
We all should be paying taxes to live in this country. It aint free. Even the park lands RV's can park in should be taxed and charged if your using tax paid dollars to set up water and electricity
Feel free to go for it. Build away.
They need to pay to stay there too.
Or outside of city limits.
Sadly, many street homeless die alone quietly abandoned by everybody. What's even more sad is their bodies get eaten by other homeless and stray animals and disappear in darkness.
What a joke - this solves nothing - like homeless musical chairs - yes, homelessness is not a crime and you can camp, dump, pollute, do drugs, litter, poop, but that's alright
Why because you don’t want expose how many of them are illegal or out of state squatters. Plus it will help understand what situation they are in and need instead loitering areas clueless waiting for the middle men drug sellers from resident to businesss/ school areas.
ban homelessness...what a statment, your banned for being poor. NOW OFF WITH YOU!
Those are not homeless they are tech workers!
What do you mean? Tech workers make 6 figures how could then end up being homeless?
@@jdos5643have you seen the price of living in Silicon Valley?
@@leighbotts9694 yes I know but there are a lot of working families who own homes in the bay. We’re talking Hispanic families. How much more these tech workers making six figures. They could afford also.
@@jdos5643 hispanic families typically have multiple generations living under one roof. Not everyone lives under the same cultural norms. You also have to factor in people who’ve owned their homes for decades compared to those trying to get into the market for the first time. They have no shot.
In all my years living in San Jose it's unbelievable how many homeless tents have been propped up in areas around the city. It's sad and an eyesore. Sweeping them away never does any good. They always come back to the same spots a few months later. Affordable housing is an answer but there is also the issue of some homeless folks who may refuse it.
So what if housing came with rules, at least they will have warm roofs over their heads.
How can someone without a job afford any housing?
@@middleguy1776 There is all kinds of assistance.
@@danaripley1200 there should be zero from the government
Those who refuse should be sent to slab city and kept there. It should be illegal to be homeless in cities especially when so much help is available. Either reform or be sent out to slab city.
Sadly, many street homeless die alone quietly abandoned by everybody. What's even more sad is their bodies get eaten by other homeless and stray animals and disappear in darkness.
Ahh let the nimby commence 😂
instead of cracking down on rvs, shouldn't san jose crack down on their own lack of affordable housing???????
Agree things are way too expensive but how would you crack down on the lack of affordable housing?
Heres the thing about that you can't compel people to sell their houses for less nor can you compel developers/contractors to go in on those projects without a great incentive.
Imagine that??? 🤪🤪🤪
Please explain why and how it's the governments responsibility to provide housing?
They are rejecting my tiny homes and small homes squeezed into suburbs and rural areas plan think 500 dollar a month rent tops for a small home
It's about time
So you're going to crack down on businesses paying too low huh..
Volunteers and security guards would solve that, charge parents 5 dollars a month, next problem?
leave them ALONE!!!
they just need some space to live
Not when they're near schools cat calling at who knows who (probably at minors) and leaving their drug paraphernalia out in the open. If you're gonna be homeless, you can still be respectful and show some class. Just cause you're homeless doesn't mean you gotta make your area look trashy either.
Nope they can be sent to slab city and then be left alone. If these homeless don’t want to reform them there’s no reason to allow this crazy mess everywhere
Sadly, many street homeless die alone quietly abandoned by everybody. What's even more sad is their bodies get eaten by other homeless and stray animals and disappear in darkness.
Move the problem elsewhere. They don't want to solve the problem. There too much money to be made through homeless funding. No homeless = no funding.
the city has to find a place for homeless people to stay,
That place is called Mexico.
There’s slab city a prison shelter or back to their poor red states they came from.
Sadly, many street homeless die alone quietly abandoned by everybody. What's even more sad is their bodies get eaten by other homeless and stray animals and disappear in darkness.
