Hi Amir, Great tutorial. Just a quick question to compare the Cohesive element and Cohesive surface, Could you please let us know what is the thickness you considered for the Cohesive layer in the Cohesive element method? I believe it is the reason for the difference of the stiffness in these methods!
Hi. You are welcome. Yes the thickness affects the K values in the cohesive interaction method. You can watch this video for more information: ruclips.net/video/O6FM2MgUgQs/видео.html
This is a great video! Thanks and I have a question. Do you have a video showing the process with cohesive surface since for this we do not need to set a material?
Hello, I am working on adhesive joints in single lap joints. modelling of adhesive layer is done as cohesive elements. In results I am getting that the adhesive is extended and no deletion of elements is happeninge and I am using the element deletion option Could you please suggest anything? Waiting for your reply
@@FemexIran sir what property is necessary for providing cohesive surface or element.?? Sir i am trying to doing 3-point test on RCC beam in which i model a concrete beam as solid element and create hole between them so that i insert a longitudinal reinforcement as solid element in the beam. i am also using stirrups as wire element and embedded into concrete beam. Sir i am trying to give slip property between steel reinforcement and concrete beam therefore i use surface to surface contact and provide normal and tangential behavior (friction coefficient=0.45). I also provide plastic property but sir my file is not giving result as well as error. Sir, if you have time, then I am hard to send my abaqus file to you

Hello Sir, nice explanation. Can you guide me to use cohesive parameters for defining the bond between embedded rebar and concrete? It'll be a great help to me if you can guide me. Thank you .
This is a great video. Thank you very much for your great explanation.

such a nice and worth learning video. thanks a lot.

Thanks Mr. Aamir Hussain
you are a legend

Nice.
I extend my warm thanks to Mr. Aamir Hussain for making this video.
can CZM be used for 3D models
yes of course.
Mr. Aamir Hussain,
have you work with cohesive elements with zero thickness?
hi. i know that you can define such elements in the 2d space but i do not have experience in defining them.
i had a question about cohesive surface modeling
could i get in touch with you over an email?
yes. you can use our paid services for getting the answer of your questions.
Sir for providing slip property between reinforcement and concrete cohesive element is suitable or not???
hi. you can use both of the cohesive surface or cohesive elements. bot of them are suitable.

Please check your email.
Sir any updates
sir,
in material properties under traction we have to define 3 coefficents, pls can you tell what are that coefficients
hi. those coefficients define the elastic behavior of the cohesive material. they are similar to young modulus.
I think your two geometries are DCB (dual cantilever beam) and ENF (end notched flexure), correct?
yes.
