If this partnership with Marvel goes well and people actually BUY the comics Riot will probably want to expand. I think it's only wise to start thinking of movies and TV shows after there's been a consistent amount of success in comics over a few years.
To be honest, a film for the fan-service of league won't work, There is not enough screen-time in a movie to allow each character to be featured, which means the film would lose quality and be a box office bomb. It could be set over a large set of films, but the film-makers and publishers need faith that a League film would work well. It's a hard topic, honestly an animated series, (Anime or otherwise) would best suit league's style, but I doubt it'll be a thing we see for years if ever
Imo with all the lore league has lying around with the different factions it should be a tv or netflix series that should focus on each faction for a few episodes or a season.
Riot has been proactive about promoting their game over the few months, and I am happy to see that they have taken their next big step. Well done Riot :)

EXTREMELY excited for this partnership! I have never been a comic book reader, but think there is so much potential in that partnership! This will be a great medium to refine the lore and stories of Runetara, which should help all future games or story-telling mediums, not just comics. I love that I can see the effort Riot is putting into trying to do lore expansion right. They may be known for one game with little focus on lore, but I appreciate that anytime they explore a new idea (Mechs Vs Minions, Comics, music, Challenger physical rewards, most apparel products etc,) League fans can trust them to prioritize quality. I do want to express my distaste for the possibility of of direct crossover skins (heavily derivative superhero skins on league champs). I feel like that could cheapen the feel of the game universe. It is an admission that their characters are more interesting, instead of a strive to improve ours. It comes across to me as a low-hanging game promo better suited for either new or children's games trying to piggyback popularity on another brand's success. To be clear I have not seen this idea promoted by Riot yet, but wanted to get out ahead of something I see as an inevitable consideration. Thanks for this, much love to Marvel and Riot!
