You know what I love about this scene? They're true to each other. Clark has had Lana up on a pedestal, Chloe has nursed a secret crush, and Lana is constantly stuck in limbo regarding how she feels about Clark, but Lois and Clark?! Yeah, they have zero pretenses and instant banter. They're not hiding anything they're feeling, and they just see each other... warts and all. Their communication and honesty only gets better as their relationship grows from here, but that head tussle and grin said it all: they don't filter. Lois could reach out and touch Clark immediately, and Clark would received it with no issues. That's it right there, man... they saw each other as people, not objects of affection.
This scene is so iconic. Clois always had such amazing chemistry and obvious attraction buried under all their sarcasm and teasing. They were just so FUN to watch.
so true! they were so fun to watch together indeed. they did not turn into a regressive contrived melodramatic pairing like that other ship that sank!LOL
@@runtomelonely6346 haha true 😜 honestly I would have liked them anyway but I do think Clois being such a fun couple (even before they became a couple) made them even more likeable after so many seasons of Clans angst. Clark seemed to actually ENJOY spending time with Lois, always smiling and joking and teasing her right back, whereas he seemed miserable with Lana half the time.
@@iloveu172 or maybe, shockingly some people just have different opinions to you? You like Clana, cool, you do you. I liked them in the first 3 seasons then got bored with the repetitive will-they-wont-they. There was too much angst and I lost my interest with them. As I said, Clois always seemed more light and fun which is partly why I like them so much. They were great friends as you said and then developed into something more. It's a classic friends to lovers story and since they're literally endgame in the comics (and basically every Superman adaption) I don't know why you would consider them forced? If you don't like them, that's fine but I don't know why you care so much that other people do.
@@iloveu172 That's only your opinion though and you have no proof that 3/4 of the audience left after 8x14. Show me proof of that. Why would the show get renewed for another two seasons if such a huge chunk of the audience dropped off. Plus it's well known that Clois was supposed to happen a lot earlier in the show but they were told to not put them together yet because of the Superman Returns movie. So they continued with Clana even though Al and Miles said they regretted dragging them out for so long. Clana worked for the early seasons but should have ended in s 5/6. It became so boring and angsty. Whereas Clois was so fun and fresh and absolutely sizzling with chemistry. Everyone knew they would have to end up together to fit with the Superman lore but the show managed to bring them together in such a brilliant way.

And that’s why she got to know him so well to , so kindred since the beginning
I love how they edited the song in specific parts of the scene to emphasize the inevitable relationship between Lois and Clark. I see what you did there guys. Well done 😂
@nonnidreams Sorry I disagree. Choose love for Clark wasn’t “puppy love.” Those feelings were real. She loved him the most out of the 3 ladies IMO. She made mistakes sure but Chloe to me is constant like the northern star. The brightest light that shines. Clark could always depend on her and let’s face it. Her and Clark had more history. Yes Lois was destined for Clark and they were always going to end up together in any time period. Clark and Chloe’s bond is unique and Chloe’s devotion and dedication to him is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. ❤️❤️
@lautz73 As a massive Chloe fan I couldn’t agree more. There’s nothing worse than a broken heart. True love is the most powerful magic of all. Few people experience it like that. Some say the worst pain is not being with the one you love ❤️ but there’s an even worse pain than that. It’s being in love with someone and they not return that love. Chloe IMO held onto that for years and I don’t believe she ever let it go although she married Jimmy then later Oliver. In my opinion you can love many people in a lifetime but your heart will always belong to 1. Choose heart will belong to Clark and no other. Tom Welling said years and years ago in an interview during the filming of season 7 what Clark’s biggest regret was and he said it was not taking the chance to see if Chloe and him could become more than just friends. ❤️❤️🙏
Man I loved this scene from smallville it feels so 2000s and it’s a perfect key moment of Clark’s and Lois relationship developing from haters to lovers
Lmao Chloe waited years to get a sniff, finally thought she was rid of Lana and had a shot, only to be slapped with the reality that Clark preferred even her own cousin over her. She must have been sick to her stomach.
This scene always made me both laugh and feel sorry for Chloe at the same time! This was the nail in the coffin at her chance with Clark! She FINALLY lucked out when she landed a gorgeous hunk of her own in Oliver Queen! Not a bad consolation prize for not landing Clark! 😂😂❤❤
This was definitely the show runners assuring the audience that these two were going to be endgame when the series ended and that any hope that Chloe or Lana had a chance was out the window.
@I Loveu the original creators did want the series to end by season 7 but that didn't stop them from hinting that lois and clark would end up together from lois having a dream about a guy in a red cape to a love potion maker having a feeling that lois and clark were meant to be.
@@iloveu172you clearly didn't watch the show then. There were multiple hints throughout the show, therexwere several conversations where Lois pops up right after someone says to Clark 'you'll find love again.'
@@iloveu172Crisis isn't even canon to Smallville LMAO. Even the Smallville wiki refuses to acknowledge that as part of their universe. And they fled because Lex, arguably the most popular character on the show, was killed off and that left a bad taste in everyone's mouth, especially since it didn't match Superman canon. But sure, it was about Lana, a character most people watching the show were tired of because of the constant back and forth with Clark. Sure LMAO.
@iloveu172 That's what is called a lie. Everyone who actually watched the show knows that they wanted to end the show in season 5. 6 and 7 were just nonsense studio meddling. The show barely survived that nonsense that was season 7. 8 was a correction, and 9 and 10 the finale. Lana was never more than a footnote. No matter how hard the studio wanted to push her. It was always going to be Lois and Clark in the end... it always is
@iloveu172 I'm sure you watched the show, but i know you didn't REALLY watch the show or read anything TPTB said about the show. First of all, the audience started bleeding away in season 6 (gee... I wonder why). Season 7 saw the biggest drop off in the entire run. There were drops in 8, sure. But they were much smaller than in 7. This is most likely due to the fleeing of the shippers and the returning of the original fans. TPTB have said countless times they thought season 5 was the perfect way to end the series. 7 was giving people like you a bone after the failures of 6, and that move cost them all their momentum and most of their goodwill. Lois and Clark were alluded to hundreds of times in seasons 4 and 5. That's not even a question of debate. If you are taking TPTB original intentions, sure, they didn't plan to use Lois&Clark, but they still made it very clear that all roads lead there. But if we are going to do that, then TPTB never intended for Clark and Lana to be a huge thing. The plan was for that plot line to end after season 2 or 3. But the WB/CW really liked Kristen and wanted to push it longer than intended. Ultimately pushing the triangle. If we are going strictly by TPTB's original intentions. Lana is gone as a main thread in season 2, Lois never shows up, and the series ends at episode 100. But in reality, pushing Lana and that relationship, turning her into a mary sue (which even Kristen didn't like playing at that point for the record), is what killed the show. But they did try to fix her character and give her an arc. But there is a reason there was a bump in viewership after she left. You can like her and that relationship all you want, but it was never meant to be what you think it was, and in the end, all roads led to Lois. Lana was just a childhood first love. That's always been her role, Lois was always the destination. She was always his destiny.
I probably watch this scene so many times. Honestly I was sad for Chloe in this particular scene but at the same time I can't help but root for Clark and Lois, their chemistry is just so natural and easy. Their phenomenal together in the upcoming seasons. You can't help yourself but be drawn to them, you always look forward to their scenes together to the point that their interactions with each other becomes the highlight of an episode or every episode. That's how great they were.
Poor Chloe she can't get your break first it was Lana and now her cousin she couldn't see the chemistry and the flirting between Clark and Lois before they did
In a way Chloe sort of brought this on herself she could have gone to the game all on their own but she invited her cousin to come along if she hadn't done that then she wouldn't have seen or realize the chemistry and connection between the two😂
It's her own making. She had feelings 1:23 for someone who didn't return the feelings. She should have gotten way over it. Just like Lana and Clark were a high school crush. Clark was Chloe's high school crush she wouldn't let go of. Chloe and Lana should of both been gone after high school. Keeping Chloe on the series the entire time made no sense. She always held him back just like Lana. They ruined that show in to many ways to count.
@Michael-rp5pv Lana holding Clark back yeah that I can see but not Chloe. When you say to just get over it tells me you’ve never experienced love as deep as Chloe’s. Unless you have and if so I stand corrected. Feelings that deep you just don’t “get over.” I’ve never been in a relationship and I pray and hope I’m not in a position like Chloe where I love someone so much and they don’t return that love. I hate the term “get over it.” My dad’s uncle love this girl in high school. It wasn’t a crush. After graduation he wanted to marry her. She said she didn’t feel the same way. He stayed single the rest of his life. Clark wasn’t just Chloe’s “crush.” He was her one and only love. Yes she moved on with Oliver much later in the series but I could still see that glimmer in her eyes every time she would be around him. Clark told Chloe in 6x12 “Labryinth” these words. “I don’t know what I’d do without you Chloe. You mean a lot more to me than you know. You were the one person who believed in me.” Just making that point for whatever it’s worth. Take it as you will. Left to however you choose to interpret it. Lois was always destined for him. On this show she didn’t have to go thru as much heartache and pain as Chloe did. By the time Clark and Lois started getting more serious in season 9 and 10 Lana was out of the picture for good, and Chloe was drifting into other things and moved on with Oliver, so Lois was never a third wheel 🛞 in a love triangle. Chloe was always the one getting hurt. 😞 Keeping Clark’s secret was never easy for her. Especially around Lana, Jimmy and Lois. 🙏🙏 God Bless all the same.

This was a beautiful scene, As a newbie watcher however, I couldn't help but feel sorry for Chloe. Though one can't force love, seeing the one you love share that something you want, with someone close to you must be a different kind of torture.
I love themm! They have chemistry and at the same they are like buddies, like brother and sister too haha lol i ewwwm But do u get it?? They just click. Nonoffense to Clana fans, but Lana is jist so tight and dramatic like girl common..its just HS.
What a pity that in the end the writers of "Smallville" did not know how to take advantage of this potential. They ended up putting Lois as Clark's consolation prize after he could no longer be with Lana. The best thing would have been if at some point Clark realized that Lois was the love of his life and chose her over Lana. But no, the writers ruined it.
I have a theory that Pete was hiding his true gay love feelings for clark. After realizing that clark would never turn gay for him he decided to get a sex change operation. In order to disguise himself he also got a lighter skin pigmentation alteration. He also reshaped his face as well. Unfortunately he/she had a minor accident during the surgery and lost his/her memory. "She" decided to name herself Lois Lane. This has to be true cuz we notice that Pete was never seen again once Lois Lane showed up.
Zatanna could be the 3rd wheel in the relationship though. The dominatrix with like a green kryptonite strap-on toy or something. She definitely had that "fluck me" look though. 🤔😎😆😅

At 1:00 look at clark's look And hiw he trow some water . A pure Loverboy
Oh, the symbolism!
I felt so bad for Chloe. She saw that year as her chance at Clark and seeing his reaction to Lois hurt her.
But we who were fans of Superman always knew her puppy love would always remain unrequited.
Idk who chose the song for this scene as it focused on Chloe’s face but lol *chef’s kiss*. So petty 😂
Yep! Because Lana was finally out of the picture and Chloe thought she had smooth sailing straight to Clark-ville and...... nope!
Greatest show of all TIME!!!
Right there at the end with the look on Chloes face. 🎵So much for my happy ending🎵
She knew right then and there that Lois and Clark are meant to be.
The 2000s was a magical time.
It's just like the song implies we were meant to be supposed to be but we lost it
Meaning the song has less to do with Clark and Lois and everything to do with Chloe@@juanitamorgan5475
Chloe always knew. she could see it
@ 01:04
Yup. Right there. 5th violin seat.
Chloe's smile slowly fades away as she realizes "oh shit, Clark's having a crush on her. FUUUUUCK!"
@ 01:04
Here we can see Chloe noticing they have chemistry (& that she'll always be on the backburner). 🤔😕😳
clark acts kryptonian with lana but whenever she is with lois, he becomes the normal person we always wishes to be. i gotta rewatch smallville
Erica the Best Lois Lane ever
The iconic scène of smallville
She was never on the back burner. Clark never had romantic feelings for Chloe. It was always onesided in Chloe's head.
The background song was so on point
Can we bring back this kind of tv show?
Yeha shows like.this ain't happening anymore 😂
I probably watch this scene so many times. Honestly I was sad for Chloe in this particular scene but at the same time I can't help but root for Clark and Lois, their chemistry is just so natural and easy. Their phenomenal together in the upcoming seasons. You can't help yourself but be drawn to them, you always look forward to their scenes together to the point that their interactions with each other becomes the highlight of an episode or every episode. That's how great they were.
Poor Chloe she can't get your break first it was Lana and now her cousin she couldn't see the chemistry and the flirting between Clark and Lois before they did
Lois saw more than Clark in a wet shirt 😂😂
This is why after 3 years Clark never hooked up with Lana, because he was meant to be with Lois. Lois is also one year older than Clark.
The moment poor Chloe realize she stops being next in line... So sad...
She thought she would be the endgame😂😂😂
In a way Chloe sort of brought this on herself she could have gone to the game all on their own but she invited her cousin to come along if she hadn't done that then she wouldn't have seen or realize the chemistry and connection between the two😂
1:03 How sad. You can see her heart broke down
It's her own making.
I hate the term “get over it.”
My dad’s uncle love this girl in high school.
You were the one person who believed in me.”
Just making that point for whatever it’s worth.
This was the Darth Vader hallway scene for clois fans
Chloe was the first to notice that Clark and lois are gonna be together
Technically, Lana did in the previous episode.
I live in Turkey 🇹🇷 and I love the Smallville series very much. ❤
And that is when Allison Mack decided to join a cult 🤣
😂😂
Oh no 😂
I feel bad for Chloe. She had feelings for Clark but never tried to do anything about it. Clark never noticed. But sometimes it’s not obvious
Chloe was sick at the end 🤣
Chloe and Lana as well as Lois are all so damn hot.
This would be my villain origin story ngl
Сегодня я вспоминал этот эпизод из сериала, и включив ютуб, он попался мне!! Совпадение????Один из моих любимых моментов в сериале!!! Он такой веселый, позитивный, напоминает юные годы проведеные с друзьями🙂👍
Chloe was so distraught from this she joined a sex cult.
😂😂😂😂😂
Chloé's reaction! Felt bad for her!
This is the moment she became Allisonberg
This was a beautiful scene, As a newbie watcher however, I couldn't help but feel sorry for Chloe. Though one can't force love, seeing the one you love share that something you want, with someone close to you must be a different kind of torture.
Essa cena é muito anos 2000's. Nostalgia de uma boa época.
This heartbbreak led her to join the cult, true story!
I can't look at her the same way.
When Lois ran her fingers through his hair I would've had her lay a kiss on Clark
Chloe never had a chance between Lana and Lois.
uh... this was so corny. Yet I loved every second of it. 😭😩
0:33 the last cheerleader seem sad about something. I wonder what was wrong with her being sad?
Chloe jealousy is activated
Chloe 😭😭😭😭😭
Art
Lois has serious THO
It's a shame one of them turned out to be bat shit crazy in real life.
And in this exactly moment chloe knew it, she saw it... their happy ending
I love themm! They have chemistry and at the same they are like buddies, like brother and sister too haha lol i ewwwm But do u get it?? They just click. Nonoffense to Clana fans, but Lana is jist so tight and dramatic like girl common..its just HS.
Essa cena é épica ❤.
C'est à ce moment là que kloé a compris que entre clark et lois il y avait un truc
Chloe was thicc 🍑 0:09
Chloe just gave up at this point 😢
Oof, Chloe felt that one right in the ovaries.
😂👏👌
Yep. Her "retirement plan" ran away. 😓😞
These people were in high school…. Lmfaoo
LMAO
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Chloe had me in a chokehold
Poor Chloe..
F Cloe
chloe forever friendzoned pfft…
Chloe almost ruined this scene. She needed to go away 😂
As much as I like Lois, Alicia was the one that Clark should have ended up with. They were the perfect couple
euh no lmaoooo
Zatanna could be the 3rd wheel in the relationship though. The dominatrix with like a green kryptonite strap-on toy or something. She definitely had that "fluck me" look though. 🤔😎😆😅
That foolish girl 😂😂😂
@@rychelssassa7866😂😂😂😂😂😂
Y'all acting like you didn't ship Clark and Chloe not that she's incarcerated. Lol. I remember internet forums back in the day. It was all anyone talked about.
What a great feel of early 2000's! Will we have some special vibe of 2010 and 2020's? I guess no(
I know she did some terrible shit, but 0:08 I always remember thinking the first time I watched this episode “Damn, Alison actually kinda thick…” 🫣 please don’t judge me
