The ending in the N64 version reminds me of the cutscene of Shang Tsung's defeat in MK1 with all the playable characters' souls coming out of him.
Even though some of these versions have flaws, I still think it made those who never beat Shao Kahn very happy. Except for the iOS version.

@Mr. Scythe the differience is that the music in SNES makes it more satisfying, while the iOS just ruined more something that was horrible already

Arcade: the original, nothing to say
Genesis: very slow (where's that blast proccesing when you need it?), it sounds like a 8-bit console, the animation of Shao Kahn is mirrored
SNES: I liked the flashes of the explosions, more buildings than the original version, good job
PlayStation: nice, almost equal to the arcade version
Saturn: Was too difficult erase the damned tower?/Where are the lines absorbing Kahn's soul?
Java: Well... that's the most what can do an ancient phone
Apple iOS: The poorest animation of all the ports
N64: I liked how the souls was released from Shao Kahn
@no no plus MK3 used GEMS sound.
MK1 & 2 used a costum sound driver.
Although I don't mind GEMS, some ppl have issues with it.
Each Genesis game uses a driver of some sort, most companies would make their own.
GEMS was specific software from Sega to make it easier on developers, and was used mostly in the States.
The Genesis version had some SEVERE limitations. It's a miracle it still looked and played just as well as the original arcade version. Music-wise, yep it couldn't be saved.
Ending in MKT N64 looks like ending when we beat Shang Tsung

You added all the major released. Good you acknowledged the mobile ports. Though there is an MSdos and windows version of MK3 and PC ver of MKT. Idk if the game com had this ending.
There's also the Nintendo DS version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.
The Arcade version of MK3 and UMK3 are the best. (it is the arcade).
The PlayStation MK3 is right behind it, maintaining all the arcade qualities.
And then after that is the n64 version

I feel that the N64 ending was the most creative because of the souls bodies being released from Shao Kahn. However, the N64 version was not the best MK trilogy game.

Oh boy....The Game.Com version of Trilogy is far worse.... trust me. This makes the N64 version arcade perfect.
(Fun fact, the N64 version was made by Midway itself. It had better games on the N64 than on the PS1. If you don't believe me, play MK Special Forces. A total krap.
I love the N64 "soul release". It really made it unique. But, the laziness and sloppy work really shows. Like for example, why is Rayden's soul realeased at least a half dozen times? Not to mention the horrible sound effects and music. My favorite is umk3 Saturn.

The Nintendo DS Version of UMK3 removed the diagonal lines on Shao's left upper arm, right upper neck, right torso and lower left in his death scene, and the screen fades to black before revealing the Netherrealm stage that appears after his defeat in the same fashion as the arcade, but without the light flashes.

The Saturn version is the fastest one there is, also, they kind of gave out on the ending, as they only made some of Kahn's temple broke apart.

Caudal Chile no they don't those versions were for the value minded people because genesis games were more affordable(10-40 dollars) than the SNES versions(15-60 even 70 dollars) my mom paid 65 dollars each for super street fighter 2 and mortal kombat for SNES(we live in NYC)
