I like good deals, but with GI Joe, the chances of them going to the discount stores isn't as good as other brands. Out of 140-150 figures or so, maybe 15 have showed up in Ollies or Ross. I get most of my deals off of Amazon. My health insurance rewards me with $5 Amazon gift cards pretty regularly. Add that to Amazon's already cheaper prices, and It lets me get standard figures for around $17. I don't collect every figure line either. I only collect vintage A Real American Hero and Classified, so my toy budget is rarely stressed. I know several guys that collect multiple toy lines, and they seem to stress a lot more than I do. I like other stuff, but luckily I've never been interested in any other lines enough to spend money on them. As far as regretting purchases; if I want something I don't care if I pay full price, nor do I kick myself when I see something I paid full price for discounted later. I's rather have it in my collection to enjoy, then wait 6 months to a year to find it at a discounted price. A big part of that is probably the fact that I live in a very rural area, so it's not like I can really shop around for anything. I'd have to drive all day to get to and from a city big enough to have a with Ross, Ollies, etc. By the time I factor in my fuel and eats, I wouldn't save any money anyways. One thing I have stopped doing is pre-ordering everything. I'm sick of that crap. I'm too impatient, and once I've ordered something it drives me nuts waiting on a release date. I only pre-order things I know are going to sell out fast, and be hard to get. Everything else, I wait until it's available at retail.
It's definitely never ending but it just seems like it comes in big waves and then we'll have a dry spell but I felt the same way I've I've been mad at myself for spying too much don't have enough room and I've been like it's time to cash out it's just time to give it up but I just haven't been able to yet LOL
Ollies is why i don't pre-order no more ! And don't really collect! Nothing hurts more then dropping 120 bucks on a figure set just to see it show up at allies for 24 bucks ! I work hard for my money that shits just depressing.
Yeah I had to always when I was in Kentucky so I've had one for about 10 years and Ollie's is designed to help out the middle class family and always does get all retail toys it seems like it just takes 6 months to a year for it to show up but it's been a lifesaver for me for sure I've gotten a lot of things through there that I didn't get for full price and Ollie's is a good thing because there's always going to be people like myself are going to buy thing as soon as it comes out but the good thing not everybody likes the same s*** so it kind of does a full circle at some point
Out here in UK TK MAXX and Game have had some serious discounts hawkeye with skysled selling for £13. so yeah im not rushing to pay full price unless its something special that will hold it value
Yeah, it's a lot easier for the guys that don't live in rural areas, or that live in areas that have a lot of different stores. They can make a 2-3 hour trip, and hit several discount stores, or they can swing by Ross or Ollies everyday. If I waited until I stumbled across a good deal, I wouldn't have enough figures to even call it a collection. Lol!

I wish I could rely on Ollie's but the Ollie's here in South Texas don't carry shit. Only got snake eyes movie figures and Lady Jay old ass figures
