Yep, after watching the super Mario bros movie, I can see that. Mario is like niko in terms of doing missions, while Luigi is like Roman who needs to be rescued by his cousin. Peach is like a mission boss.
I love this mission, it sets of a chain of events that is essentially the basis for the rest of the story. I've never seen an event matter so much and have an impact on the rest of the universe like that unless it was Breaking Bad.
This game's story felt more like a movie than GTA V's. I think it may be because they went so fucking overboard on parodying stupid shit today that it just got washed out. But maybe I'm the only one who sees it that way.
Rockstar's writing team did a great job intentionally making characters like Vlad, Faustin, Dmitry, & Pegorino incredibly unlikable, so that you can't wait to kill them .
There's another possibility you left out. You can kill Vlad with a drive by, you'll skip the execution, and after the cutscene, you'll be sitting in the car you killed him with. That's how you can obtain his EC Marbelle
Yeah, even though GTA V is 17+, it is too easy and made for kids, the driving is way too easy, melee fighting is way too easy, the missions are way too easy, checkpoints are way too frequent
I think it's just not suppose to be available at the point in the game, or maybe it was added later in development (since Darko is shot over 12 times even if you use the Dessert Eagle, which only holds 9 bullets)
i think it keeps giving you the pistol to make sure you have one for this mission so you can do the execution, so on the offchance you lost your pistol they give you one, and since it takes the same slot as the desert eagle it overwrites it

I really like Niko’s dialogue in the beginning because it shows Niko’s adherence to this code of defiance towards authority or anyone telling him what to do or who he is. I know it’s a bit much to look too into a video game character but I really think GTA4 had a really great Player character in Niko
6:16 - Its crazy how this game had the ability to make people hang on moving cars like their hand was pinched on the closed driver's door.....I am not even sure if GTA V had this type of cool feature

They should bring choices like this back in GTA 6.... but make it even better.... this is why GTA IV is still in my top 5 best GTA games from the story and choices and character development. It's all dope.
