Hahaha yooo Soundwave, appreciate the love! I think I will just start including one match with each profile moving forward just to showcase the spice each time.
it’s pretty great tbh against the more popular decks that only play power spells. prob not so good vs goat tho because they have more fluff spells like scapegoat and book of moon
one potential downside of magic drain when used in an aggressive deck like this is that it allows the opponent to pitch their dead crossout that they have been holding all game however, with this in mind, you could even run faith in order to recycle more smoke grenades lol
@@MiniBr0that’s a good point. I feel like when the Opp knows NOCs are dead they set them as bluffs. Hopefully that happens so they don’t have that discardable fodder in hand
Gearfried is one of those classic decks that got outclassed by the Toolbox variant. Still always a fun combo to pull off especially with how Earth decks got traction in the last few years. BTW Could probably lay the duel out better so we can see your LP too.
Another Magic Drain fan!! I love the card art, but the eff just feels so nasty. At best, it’s a free Negate, at worst, they’re pitching one of their spells to GY. That’s a win win imo 💪🏽
@@skilledbrownmagician2301 for sure, it's not great against every deck, but I've never had magic drain used against me and not be at least slightly annoyed
I think Blast with Chain is a flexible (AKA better) option since it can pop any card during Damage Step which is a really specific interaction that Gearfried can abuse consistently with Blast. May have to do another Gearfried build built arouind Blast instead haha
We got the SPICE on this channel! Magic Drain actually has been appearing in a couple topping Tournament lists lately. So I've been cooking. Drop a sub if you want to see more competitive tech choices!!
Fixed that in the most recent video that just dropped! Fiend 👺 Gate! You should sub if you haven’t already if you like seeing spicy goat format decks 🤙🏽
I really like Gearfried, not only because it's such an iconic anime card. Do you often brick on Trap Dustshoot since you already play some hand control cards? I also really like the Gigantes for speed and potential Smoke Grenade Destruction! I think I would probably switch out one goblin attack force for a Berserk Gorilla. If you need attack force you can search it anyways with ROTA but it does loose momentum very fast sometimes. You could also think about adding one giant rat to potentially float into a Exile, Swordsman or Lily while fueling your graveyard for Gigantes. I could be totally wrong with my ideas though!
Oh man love these edits you shared. I defs think a smaller Rat package could be good. Maybe 2 copies to swap for DD Assailant. Floating into exiled force, mslv2, or injection fairy is super strong. Also fuels Gigantes as you mentioned. I think the Dustshoots are just so powerful going first and is why they’re mainly in there. And the two copies hopefully help mitigate seeing it at times where it’s dead. I think there is some truth though to maximizing on cards that strip from opponent that don’t have a restriction like waiting til Opp has 4 cards in hand 🤔 as always, I appreciate the feedback! Definitely didn’t think about gigantes comboing with Smoke Grenade that’s sweetttt
Giving u a like because u actually show duels w the deck that u profile unlike most ppl who only post the profiles.

Do you think that Magic Drain is an underrated card in Goat Format? 🤔🙇🏾

@@soundwave9560 True, hopefully they have some of their spells Set so we can Negate the Spells they activate from Hand

@@MiniBr0and if you haven’t already, consider subbing and I might build a profile for you! 🎉🤙🏽
Magic drain had SICK synergy here
Yessss, Magic Drain to just take away more cards is the best! Fits the theme and is a powerful countertrap too 🔥
Always feared Gearfried Hand Control, with dropoffs can be really nasty, also Magic Drain is such a painful card, bravo, great profile! 😄
Thank you! Gearfried + Smoke + Dustshoot is one of the most demoralizing starts for the Opponent honestly. -2 cards and they haven't even played yet 😇
One of my favorite monsters ever!
Definitely! All time classic, had to give the gold tint to our boy 🥇

Iron blacksmith kotetsu or blast with chain would make the gearfried combo more consistent

Magic drain fire! Didn't think about that!

List seems sick! Also, for the game capture, have you tried F11 to hide the address bar? Just find it makes a sleeker look for future recordings

If smoke grenade is legal, there might as well be a deck to play it. Cool deck!
Thank you! Smoke Fried Drain was one of the first decks I wanted to play in real life!

Looking forward to the next budget build homie!! 🎉
you forget about adding skill drain
😂 but then Gearfried won’t work anymore! Lol
