This is a great video! The Legacy system always seemed so complicated to me but after watching your videos I feel confident about doing the upgrades myself. You have a real gift for making it easy to understand. Everyone in the Hobby will benefit from your video series. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! I'll be doing some more of these type videos in the future. I'm pretty happy how this one came out but hope to improve the shooting techniques. I appreciate you checking it out!
Thanks Laz. I just took a procedure that was already created and gave it a bigger audience I hope. Lot's of good information that needs to go beyond the limits of the forums. As always thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching Curtis. I hope I made it easy enough to follow. I’m going to try a few more of these types of videos and see how they go. Happy railroading.
@@MartyE I just “converted” 2 useless blue modules to 2 black ones that I will use for Legacy updates / backups! While reading about the process on the Forum wat informational, watching your video gave me the confidence to get out the soldering pen and do the job! Micro surgery IMO! Thanks!
Hey Marty, I've watched your channel a number of times and find it very informative. I am trying to locate a Lionel Writable Utility Module but have not been successful. Is there anywhere that I might find one. Thanks in advance for your help in this matter.
Their "hard to find" status was the catalyst to making this video. I haven't seen them around in a while. I manage to pick one up a few years ago from the LHS. They are out there just hard to find. In the meantime you can make one using the technique in the video. I suspect Blue modules are more plentiful. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
