John Wall was the most unstoppable guard i ever seen in High school, In my opinion he has the best HS mixtape of all time. He was Crossing 5 dudes up, Dunking and Blocking everybody. He was a human Highlight reel
@MmaRicky thats why no matter what people say about Cal, we can never forget how he turned us from a bottom feeder to the number 1 team in the country overnight with Wall and company.
@@brett444 agree 100%. He made Uk cool again. Without him we could have been in a hole we never got out of. We are in a Age of social media and trends u need to have the national media attention to get the best players.
I agree on that Mix Tape. It’s still the best one ive seen. Malik Monks and aAndrew Wiggins had some good ones too but they don’t come close to Wall’s. Wall is probably the most exciting high school player of all time. Every time you watched him it was like he did something new. Zion Williamson’s were fun too but his just about raw power and pop. You were just in awe of how dominant. he was. He didn’t have the finesse, speed or overall skill that Wall did. Brandon Jennings if you go back a few years further was good just because he had arguably the shiftiest handle we’d seen to that point. But not the athlete that Wall was.
Its not just that his style made him susceptible. He didn’t take care of himself either. He’d let himself go during the off seasons and try to make up for it and shave off the extra weight right before the season started and even during the season at times. That takes a toll when you keep doing it. I think his body broke down faster as a result.
Unpopular opinion but Jeff Teague would have been in the convo for Top 3 PG in the East during that era if the Hawks actually let him be the real Jeff Teague. Dude was nice
The dance came from Lil Will and the D Town Boogie era. Idk why ppl hate to give Dallas Boogie eta their flowers. Soulja Boy learned the same dances watching Dallas artist
Wall, Boogie and Bledsoe’s perspective is a bit different. I mean every player gets it to a degree but that’s one of if not the most popular teams in UK history. considering the situation and timing and all of that. Probably never been more excitement in bbn.
Had conversations with a coworker about kids that attend a school like Kentucky. Many of them leave after 1 year to be " a guy" in the NBA. I get it....the money talks, but the attention of being a Wildcat ,& Big Man on campus is likely the last time UK players will know THAT type of Fandom. Why be so quick to give that up to be the 9th guy on the bench for a bad franchise??

Johns the reason i fell in love with kentucky basketball
Then ur probably not much older than 25… yea cal had college ball in his lap from 2009-2015 but Kentuckys brand was always what it was today.
Eric Bledsoe Birmingham Legend!!!! 🔥 🔥
Tj ford and John wall was my favorite point guards!
A name haven't heard in a while...ya tj Ford was nice and as a KY fan John wall brought alot of energy and excitement back to the program
John Wall is just one of those guys. He knows so much about basketball. John Wall really loves this game.
Yeah Coach Prime said aint no one do it better than John Wall on the dancing
top 5 best player in wildcats basketball history
Nah..maybe in Cal era

He is definitely top 5 guards, but overall idk about that. Maybe the Cal era, but through Kentucky basketball history I'd say he is more top 10.
I played against Baby Shaq and John Wall at Word of God when I was a highschooler in NC.... he was built different lol
If injuries didnt exists, him and rose woulda been IT

Kentucky used to have those fire teams before players had to get paid 😂
Actually Kentucky was paying players back then. Remember Chris mills
Damn.. why not just give Shizz his credit? He know where got that dance from smh

Yes sirrrrrr
Man John Wall never developed his game because he was partying too much.
