I'm a Seahawks fan, goddamn this team brought me so many memories in the past decade. Seems a good time to review these moments with it coming to a close. With that said, I will always fight people calling Pete Carroll an idiot for throwing there. Everyone in the entire country knew Marshawn Lynch was getting the ball. Trusting your stud QB on a quick slant wasn't a tall order. The play even appeared to go as planned, but Malcolm Butler made the play of his life. Go look back at the film, when Russ released it, the WR had separation, Butler just had superhuman reflexes and cut off the route in one of the greatest defensive plays of all time that seems to get forgotten. It gets overshadowed because everyone calls Pete Carroll a dumbass and that gets all the attention. When in reality, Malcolm Butler should be a name cemented in Super Bowl history for that immaculate play recognition. Though if that play never happens and Marshawn does run it in that play or the next, it drastically changes a lot for the Seahawks legacy. The Legion of Boom are widely considered one of the premiere defenses to ever do it. But had the Seahawks pulled off the W in that SuperBowl. The LOB would have beat best offense of all time Peyton Manning and Tom Brady in back to back years. One being the GOAT and the other right behind him as a top 3 - 5 QB ever. Their legacy will always be tarnished by that while people spout of stats from teams who played 40 years ago when motions, audibles and playcalling was much more predictable. But that LOB defense was explosive and should be right there with the 2000 Ravens for most electric defense of all time.
Brandon Browner didn't get enough credit for both recognizing the play and pushing Kearse back to not allow for more separation between Lockett and Butler. The play had a higher percentage statistically to succeed than the run did, it just didn't work out.
Best sports moment I've ever seen won't be known much by Americans. The big Papi grand slam to tie the game in the bottom of the 8th, 2 outs. I will always remember how I felt in that moment. It rivaled 2004. My whole family literally SCREAMED.
David Freese run in those playoffs was beyond insane. Clutch play after clutch play in the biggest moments.
The ball hit to right field should have been caught!

Born and raised in Cleveland...even got the chance to play a school league game on the gundarena floor and meet all the cavaliers afterwards (this was before lebron and the Q)...
So you can imagine the electricity running through my veins (and our city) that night. I still get goosebumps thinking about it , and I'm still so grateful that lebron brought our city a championship. Awesome memory.

I think the most memorable moment from that WS was rajai Davis home run but Rizzo pocketing the ball to give the cubs their first WS since before women could vote was pretty iconic

"The most iconic sports moments of the decade in USA"
Alright buddy
yea he's got a point, but they are still really iconic just all American. tbh nothing wrong with it tho
3rd clip is canadian tho
@Pixelated Puffin "Cry" dude, he's literally saying the truth. This is only AMERICAN sports. There's no football ⚽, tennis, swimming, hockey, boxing, rugby (and more) moments. The world doesn't give a single fuck about USA sports. Literally no one cares. The only one which is global is basketball. Y'all forget that "soccer" (football) is the biggest, the most loved and the best sport in Earth...
Living in San Antonio... I can't tell you how gut wrenching game 6 was in 2013. But that pain went all away next year when we destroyed them.
I'm only halfway through the video, thanks for the trigger warning for disturbing content 😂
Pop taking out Duncan cost the Spurs that title.
@@joshpatrick7613 He did it for a good reason. They needed perimeter defenders for that play, and Duncan was too slow to guard out there. It was really just a freak occurrence and not much could have been done about it. It was more about Bosh and Allen being clutch than any mistakes that the Spurs made.
Dude... it was on my birthday, June 18th. We were having a watch party, and the entire night was ruined 😆😭
Perfectly perfectly written. Incredible comment although I've read thousands on this subject alone over the years lol
Brandon Browner didn't get enough credit for both recognizing the play and pushing Kearse back to not allow for more separation between Lockett and Butler. The play had a higher percentage statistically to succeed than the run did, it just didn't work out.

People forget that Iguodala had an injured back and could hardly walk the game before. So that's not the best block. I'd give it to Tayshaun Prince blocking Reggie Miller.
