I still love mark 3 astras On this one I like the front grill , almost like a camero front , it’s a shame they had to use so much of Peugeot 308 parts and interior but I don’t think the designers had much choice, I think they will grow on people (looks wise ). Seen really nice ones on the road , would love to see a crazy powered awd version like the Impreza hatch
I have the GS Tourer Estate .i find the suspension hard over bumps!! Need to been softer ride !! Nice car but there is few problems. Doors are heavy!! Vauxhall should have a website to give out review. I have had many Vauxhalls over the years.
I have a 2015 Astra j the are sill plenty on the roads but a have not seen many new Astras on the road I think It looks like the viva A with its square body looks also the are more people buying More SUV vehicles also it’s up against the Peugeot 308 which I think looks better with its more rounded panels
The car market has changed radically since the J. Gone are the days when the Focus, Golf and Astra could shift nearly half million cars a year between them. The Number one selling car in the UK last year shifted just 40,000 units.
It's a damn good looking car. Best from Vauxhall for decades. And I'm sure that if Oreste Da Molin were still alive, your _"look-a-like"_ would have liked it too 8-))...
Don’t buy it. What they don’t tell you is it might be petrol but it uses a battery under the hood to power electric motors all over the place, like in the windscreen wipers, the rear wiper, the starter motor, the heating fans. Can’t be doing with all that electrification!
Shame it's also dangerous! The dashboard keeps going blank and all the electrics go off. I returned mine after 4 months on mobility. Avoid this car till they have fixed the fault
It's not sporty or confident, and it's not 'beating' Ford or VW either. You must have been paid to say all that bullshit, seriously man. This has to be a paid advert. Just because it has a screen on the dash now, doesn't mean it's as good let alone better than 'the Germans', it looks absolutely shyte, look at it ffs. It isn't even close to being anywhere near as good as VW or 'the Germans', it looks 10 years behind as regards styling, screen quality & content, and technology. They basically copied the Seat rear end but made it blander, and the Golf front end removing anything interesting, the interior looks crap, I bet the scratchy plastics are everywhere. It's a car for people who don't care about cars, and just want a cheap, boring, white goods car, to last you from retirement date to death. And one last thing, I'm 54 so plenty old enough to remember the GTE, and it was a useless, rotbox, for the max power generation, there were so many more much better cars around.
It’s clearly beating the Ford Focus for sure, and I say that as a previous Ford fan. Ford will phase out the focus soon, and just as well because it looks positively bland and dated compared to the Astra.
@@DjNikGnashersNever owned a Vauxhall but having seen a few of these in the metal the styling is quite good. The sister Peugeot is a prettier car ( especially the rear ) but doesn't come with a manual and is more expensive than the Astra. I would think the Focus would be better to drive as has been the case for some time. Shame there won't be a VXR as far as I am aware
@@robsmall6466 I'm not even a Ford fan, but it is absolutely agreed by the vast majority of the motoring press that the Focus was actually pretty decent as a drivers car. I have owned Vauxhalls, albeit many years ago, although I worked in the motor trade for many years and drove plenty of modern ones alongside every other brand to compare.
Put it this way over the years I've owned a Golf GTI, 3 Foci including a MK3 ST and 2 Astras including a Mk7 1.6T which was a hot hatch in all but name. So with all those years experience of the top 3 selling hatchbacks I've just placed an order for a brand new Astra GS Line. Vauxhall have nailed it with this car. Ford are pulling out of the hatchback market altogether, which to me screams they've lost touch with their customer base and the problems at VW are well documented.

Yay H is back!
It's definitely has a bit of the H 3 door styling to it and that's not a bad thing.

It's a smart thing now -- looks solid and secure on the road. I had one decades ago. Dismal thing, but this bears no resemblance to its forebears!
Im struggling to put the words Vauxhall and Brilliant together in the same sentence. Well....anywhere remotely near each other.
Blimey, d'Artagnan now does car reviews. Who knew
Think I might get on when I pass my test

Vauxhall is now owned by the French, new ideas and reliability comes into it,
It's a Peugeot
It quite clearly a Vauxhall. Do you call an Audi a Skoda?

Would definitely go for a petrol one but wouldn't touch the EV version a there planet killers

There’s a 1.5 diesel aswell
The 'K' was the end of the Astra, this thing is a depressing eggbox.
