When the player character keeps signing off on "no abnormality", it makes me think he's been doing this every night and knew it was going to be bad like this. That's why you start off in his apartment looking at your family - as motivation to go on knowing he has to deal with this crap. Love it. Creepy and thought provoking at the same time!
