my mom loved this song.. she had so many issues in her life but when this song came on she'd be quick to say this song was talking about her.. love you mother R.I.P Melissa Ann McEady.
YES!! My mother too .. and now I get it ❤️🙏🏽 may they both rest
I just lost my Angel, virtually a Week before Mother’s Day and I’m in mf pieces. She cherished this Guy so much I have to myself. Better not joke about him being Gay either. RIHP💐💐💐 Momma I have no Life without you and it’ll never be the same or okay until we are together again, I don’t care where you went. I want in.
May your mother continue to rest
God bless this is a classic song
I feel that, I lost my mother last June 2022 , praying for you, praying for all of us with mothers in heaven 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💐💐💐💐
If he and Luther would've made an album.. Shit would have been fire..
Carolyn Pujols yes
Him & Luther sound alike
You think
Him & Luther sound alike thats who i thought sing this song
Would’ve slapped for sure
Still loving this in 2021 with the power of grown folks music... anyone else?
This is a testament from someone that grew up in the 80's. It was a beautiful experience that even through Reaganomics, we found peace in listening to great music. I think it's a damn shame that music now is a minstrel show. Crappy intertoy beats under the guise of R&B. It makes me sick. Brothas and sistas 'SANG' and didn't have to oversex themselves as a gimmick to hide how piss poor their talent was. For the kids that post on here that are under 20, I'm impressed LOL
Music not the same ....This is Real music 💯
Look at Freddie workin them shoulder pads....hahaha!!!!!!
That's Funny!
That's mean, Lol
I know I'n late to the conversation, but... yes, my man was workin' them shoulders, was he not!! LOL
Yes! hilarious. hahaha
Like a job!! LOL
Whatever happened to great R&B/Soul music like this?
The garbage ruined it
It still there. Just hear it😉
Whatever happened to ragtime and Dixieland jazz?

I'm a 55 year old white bloke from New Zealand and all my favourite music is 80's R & B. Bring it all back.

My mom loved Freddie Jackson. This was one of her favorite songs. RIP MOM
why can;t radio play songs like this anymore instead the same song every five minutes.
They don't play because the Shitty music now is where the $$$ is at.SAD!!!!.
Freddie's a true, naturally born singer. Believe it or not, we lived in the same building and on the same floor in Drew Hamilton Projects in Harlem on the 19th floor. This was long before he was a star. We used to talk in the hallway waiting on the elevator. He used to tell me how he'd sing back up for Stevie Wonder and others but I never knew he would go to such heights in the business. Amazing!
I was born in '86, so most of the music I remember is from the 90s. However, I fell in love with this song after hearing it on my GTA IV game. This was real music and when it was about love and not just getting some. Music that respected women. I can honestly say that there is only a handful of good music out nowadays. I'd give anything if music could go back to the way it was back then (60s-90s).
This is my moma and her friends song....I remember when this song came out , all the ladies was hollering....Come on Freddie, sing it
This song takes me back to a time when a love song really spoke about love.
2022 and im still jamming with this lovely song!🙌🏽
Freddie & Luther were neck & neck for a minute back in the day, Luther just had a lil bit more horsepower I do believe.....
I feel you on that one
They both are amazing so many soulful male artist around that time.
Luther....
i totally agree!!
Luther had a bigger push from the industry. Freddie was more r&b than Luther.
Born in the late 90s here and thank god I go and listen music from this era. Unlike anything else.

People don't realize how big of a star and how many hits Freddie Jackson had in the 80's
Facts! Wen Freddie was on top, he was there for awhile. He owned it ❤😂
Reminds me of going to barbershop where I would here this on the radio.I had to buy Freddie's greatest hits.
I was born in 1982 I grew up hearing these soulful jams on the radio, listening to my parents, aunts, uncles, older cousins, and etc play this, the radio stations, and most of all the old BET Network.
I was Born in 80 yes I grew up watching this on the old B.E.T

BRASIL - RIO DE JANEIRO.
old school rules hands down! This is such a beautiful track from the great year of 1987!
The first time I heard this song was back in 1986. Been a big fan since. Have all his albums and we are friends on Facebook. Out of all his songs this is my favorite with You are my lady coming in second. My friends used to give me a hard time because all I did was listen to Freddie while they listened to Luther Vandross. They are both great singers!!!
soo classic&great music
wow going back like this makes me sad to see how far music went from a strong feel of deep meaning to not sure what to call it know a days ( noise) lol
couldn't have said it better.70's,80's,90's/ best times.i miss those days and values.
My Sweet Lord is this song fantastic!!!
Man I love this song this been my song since I was like 13 now im 18 I listen to it almost everyday.
Freddie's voice just has that extra quality, beautiful.
Freddie has great tonality, power and sincerity in his voice. He's definitely got talent. He's one of a kind and I appreciate and respect that in a singer or artist. I believe he's underrated and of course underpaid and ripped off by his record company but what else is new about recording companies that's why they really no longer exist and things like the internet caused them to almost become virtually extinct. It's funny how these record execs can live or sleep at night knowing they stole!
HOLD ON STRONG TO THESE GOLDEN CLASSICS CAUSE YOU WON"T HEAR THIS IN TODAY'S MUSIC!! THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER ERA LIKE THE GREAT 80's AND 90's R&B ERA!!!
Love this song. A true classic. Reminds me so much of my childhood. I was a kid when this song came out but I loved it then, and I still do!
I'm so glad that Unsung finally did a show on him. He is a true talent that doesn't the credit he deserves.
This song so good 😍👍🏼💯🖤
Classic R&B; today's generation is truly being deprived of real music and artist.

freddie jackson is a real r&b icon. a real man who sings from his heart and soul.
When I listen to music from my young years I enjoy it so much, and can’t help but feel a sense of great loss. I hadn’t realized how blessed I was to grow up in the era. When I look at the world today, the whole Hollywood scene how demonic it is it just breaks my heart.😢😢
I think this is one of his best songs!!!
This still knocks! I had this song in my head and had to listen. Miss the 80's and 90's R&B
2020 during this pandemic needed some wonderful music to feel better. Timeless song

My mom was a HUGE Freddie Jackson fan. She had every album he made. Too bad music today isn't as good as this anymore.

my favorite song while cruising down the Algonquin bridge at dusk
This has to be MY FAVORITE song by Freddie ❤
It doesn't matter who was better; they were all part of a great time in music.
Apples are not better than oranges; just different. Praise God for all the good music!
Oh my GOD this song, this is my favorite of ALL his songs
I can listen to Freddie Jackson sing all day long!!!!
Had the fortune to see him live in 1991... sounded BETTER in person... Dude took it THERE!!! Springfest... GSU 1991... I thought you knew!!!
Love it!!!! 1of the best old school songs ever!!!!
Freddy always brings out the LOVER in me!
Now this is Real Music...'86 I was a senior in high school. Now I'm 42 yrs old. My 21 yrs old son says ahh mom that is for old heads...yeah but back then we can understand the lyrics "speaking english." This Tre Songz or whatever his name his can't sing....back in the day was romance and respect. I feel sorry for today's (my son's) generation music. No talent in todays music. I miss Freddie Jackson, Teddy Pendegrass, Luther Vandross, Gerald Levert...classy music.
Where God those years are they gone ??? The music made me dreaming back then ...
Im 20 yo and I just discovered this song, and Im soo happy I did. Its gold, plain and simple. Awesome tune!
