    in brief:
    *Introduction:*
    - Luca released a book titled "The 10 Essential Elements for Smart Language Learning" and received positive feedback.
    - In this video, he discusses the journey of writing the book and the two major lessons he learned about language learning.
    *Journey of Writing the Book:*
    - Writing a book requires time, energy, and peace of mind.
    - Luca faced challenges, including health issues and other personal matters.
    - The initial version of the book was scrapped because it lacked a personal touch.
    - Despite challenges, Luca emphasizes the importance of commitment to achieve beautiful outcomes.
    *Two Biggest Lessons:*
    1. *Feeling the Language vs. Just Learning It:*
    - It's essential to learn a language with your heart, not just your brain.
    - Falling in love with the language, its culture, and the learning process is crucial.
    - Without passion, even the best strategies won't be effective in the long run.
    2. *Psychology's Role in Language Learning:*
    - Mindset plays a significant role in language learning.
    - Many people have limiting beliefs about their abilities, often influenced by external factors.
    - Overcoming these beliefs is essential for successful language learning.
    *Luca's Personal Story:*
    - Luca struggled with English initially and felt he wasn't good at it.
    - Watching "Back to the Future" in English was a turning point for him.
    - With the help of an American tutor, he began to learn English effectively.
    - Over time, he transformed from a timid speaker to a confident polyglot.
    - Luca's father wanted him to pursue a scientific career, but Luca's passion was language learning.
    - After an interview on Italian radio, his father finally understood and approved of Luca's passion.
    *Conclusion:*
    - Luca's book shares his vulnerabilities, struggles, and doubts.
    - Taking risks and stepping out of one's comfort zone is essential in language learning.
    - The book is available in digital format, with an audiobook and interviews.
    - Luca thanks those who purchased the book and encourages others to check it out.

"There are a thousand different paths that lead to the same mountaintop." (This probably sounds better in Italian, ma non la parlo). Your story is interesting, but it is also unique. It will inspire some people to try to learn a language, but you know (as a language coach) that the best method for Luca might not be the best method for Martha or for Paul. Finding good methods for each person is the skill of a "teacher" or "coach". It is a skill that I admire but cannot do.

Well said. People should read Mindset by Carol Dweck, it could change their lives. It did mine, though sadly I was nearly 60 at the time. So often we are our own biggest enemy.

Hard to believe that I stumbled upon your videos 10 years ago while preparing for my year-long stay in Cambodia. Your videos and articles have continued to be a source of inspiration and information throughout my life. I've worked the past three years to become intermediate-fluent in Spanish, and I have a similar reading proficiency in Ancient Greek. I'm not exactly a polyglot, but I got my master's degree in linguistics and I likewise really love languages. Thanks, Luca. I know it hasn't been easy, but your work has been exceedingly meaningful to me, and I am grateful.

Hi Luca!! Do you by chance have any info about the psychological reasons why polyglots are so in love with and driven to learn languages? I have a theory that there must be something thats similar between us all, perhaps some childhood circumstances? I tried googling this subject but almost nothing came up. Pleasee do share if you know sth, i feel like youre like THE person who would have an idea about that😅😊

I MUST read this book!🔥😊 Ever since I’ve become really serious about learning English, I have a tremendous respect for all language learners because now I know first hand how much time, effort and dedication it takes.😮‍💨 I can’t even express how much I admire polyglots like you, Luca.💪 Being able to speak multiple languages must be an amazing feeling and it’s an outstanding accomplishment! Szacunek!👏🇵🇱

Hello, Luca. My respect to you. For a non-native speaker your English is out of the world. The most common issue that holds learners back , judging by my experience, is fear. To be more precise, different fears. For instance, the fear of being judged prevents many people from using the language in practice. In order to overcome this, one has to find a trusted partner who can turn a blind eye to possible errors and mistakes and listen calmly. Over time , the fear goes away.

LUCA, you are one of my mentors, I am in wonderful intermediate course/community, it's Viv- the lighting and camera clarity in this video is WONDERFUL, it's nice to see you sharp, clear and not washed out. Congrats to you/team for lighting and new camera, or whatever it is! 😀 And congrats on the book too.

Luca, I've been watching your videos for years now and your English fluency has not failed to amaze me! Every time I feel down about improving, I think about how could Luca did it and have reached such an amazing level. I can feel that this was so important to you and it did hit you emotionally multiple times during this video and those nitty-gritty reasons sometimes that help us break through and succeed in life. Thanks for helping us and being the great motivator you are in our journey!

So it's not only about the Methods but also your Motivation (why you are learning the language) and your Mindset (what your beliefs are). it is aligned with Jim Kwik's Limitless model. I love we kind of come to the same conclusions from different paths

Successful language learning (and the development of any skills) happens when you align mindset with effective learning methods and an excellent strategy to manage your energy, time and concentration to learn day in and day out for a long period of time

I missed the limited offer for a few hours, even maybe minutes because when I watched the Q and A video Sunday evening, I couldn't find the link you provided to a person who asked for it in the comments.
It seems to be very interesting, and the personal experience and interviews that go with it even more, but, unfortunately, I pass.

Mindset is huge in a lot of ways. I think one way you know you’re on the right track is when you like the way a language sounds. Sometimes it takes a while. I have been struggling with Korean for several years now. To me it sounded like Japanese but harder and just weird. Finally a few days ago something changed and now Korean sounds nice and “right” to my ear. I know some people pick a language because they like the way it sounds and I wonder if they just make great progress from the start. I chose Korean because I was curious about the culture, k-pop, and k-dramas. And it’s an Asian language with an alphabet. So I had motivation but you could also say if I didn’t like the way it sounded then I really didn’t love the language. I’m hoping for better progress now 😂.

Köszönöm, hogy évek óta igényes és hasznos videókat készítesz a nyelvtanulásról. Rengeteget segítettek nekem a videóid.

Interesting to hear the dynamics with your team. Nothing happens in a vacuum. Kudos to you for dealing with a team on the book. I made the same decision when I started working on a web app I'm building. I'm so glad I did. I found a really talented deleoper that has kept me in check and on the right path more than once. And kudos to you for following your dream. I broke free from the world my family occupied, and it was the greatest thing I ever did.
