You know there's kind of an artistic irony to this fight. In the beginning of the game when Sonic is turned into the Werehog as a result of Dark Gaia being released, Eggman reacts smugly and scoffs at the blue hero before sending him into the vacuum of space. Now Eggman finally has to face what he has created as it rips apart a one of his proudest machines.
Even more so that dark gaia's energy turned sonic into a monster, and now dark gaia's influence is (probably) why eggman is possessed with blind rage in this fight
I just realized: The egg dragoon was designed to be the ultimate counter to sonic- but regular sonic, not the werehog. That's probably why the fight is so easy, and why eggman panics so much throughout the fight. You are literally destroying it the one way he didn't account for.

"JEEZ, EGGMAN! SIMMER DOWN!" This the line that showed me Robotnik was torn. It was no longer about making machinery and creatures, it was about Sonic's death.
Eggman is super frustrated with sonic since he always gets in his way and has lost it because he finally built the ultimate counter to sonic, the wrong sonic and so now he’s out for blood. Sonic is ripping the machine to shreds and had eggmans protective glass been any weaker he’d have been punched in the face by werehog sonic, that would have been extremely scary imagine sitting in a cockpit while a hedgehog/wolf/human punches the glass which is your only protection and then you get flung away by it, and the again by dark Gaia. But then at the same Eggman is pushing the machine to its limits cursing sonic literally telling him to die already, he is sick of that meddlesome hedgehog, to put into his words

What I love most about this fight is the fact that Eggman is so desperate for Sonic to just die that he is fighting using a mech that isn’t even finished yet.
Eggman really wants Sonic dead here. "This gorge will be your tomb!" "Even you won't last long against this one!" "You were lucky, Sonic... But luck can't last forever..." Its clear through the way he talks and how aggressive this machine is that he's done with all of Sonic's shit. He's finally built Eggman Land and Sonic still made it through and is on the verge of foiling him yet again. I think that's what makes Eggman go all out here
I think dark gaia's influence has something to do with it to. Yes, hes probably madder then he'll ever be at sonic for ruining eggmanland, but to be in such a blind, irrational rage where hes literally falling down a crater to the earth's core for a chance to kill sonic, I think dark gaia was getting to him
A great instance of encapsulating the situation in the music. You’re plummeting to the center of the Earth and Eggman isn’t planning on letting you get away this time. He’s got you right where he wants you. There’s only one way to go: Through him.
It gets even better that we realise that Sonic is in his Werehog form, something from what we've seen as being more powerful and wild compared to his normal state which heavily relied on speed. It was something Eggman must've planned for, but unfortunately for him he didn't expect the Werehog. Sonic's got the power & defense to match the Egg Dragoon with the both of them going close-quarters, just like old times.
Can we stop to appreciate how utterly SAVAGE Sonic is in this fight? The day time bosses are your traditional sonic fare, most werehog bosses are rockem sockem robots This one? He’s literally just ripping pieces off of it. Even Eggman screams when sonic leaps onto the canopy. Like, not in his usually angry, hammy voice, he just flat out starts begging sonic to leave him alone. Just... dear god
I mean, Eggman isn't giving him many options, either. Sonic's fighting for his dear life here, after all. You're falling to the center of the earth, as Eggman's last resource. He's taking Sonic down, no matter what.
Ngl I loved how sonic was ripping it to shreds but I also felt bad for Eggman because it’s obvious he put a lot of time and care into it he was literally BEGGING
I don’t know how you can emulate the feeling of falling to the core of the earth while fighting a killer super robot in a soundtrack, but this track did it.
This theme really captures the fact that Eggman has snapped. This is no longer about just conquering the world anymore. It's about taking his revenge on the person who has caused all of his plans to go up in smoke. This is about killing Sonic.
+ThePreciseClimber Doesn't necessarily means the reference goes ass over tit though :o I found it funny nonetheless, it's in the same universe anyhow...
It's clear that this is one of the few moments where Eggman isn't out to toy with Sonic or to put him on hold, he wants Sonic dead. But one thing I always thought about this fight is that that is nearly a two way street. This fight is the most aggressive Sonic has ever been in the games and it's pretty justified given the story. This whole journey he's been cursed with this beastial form and now has to deal with the world being broken apart and Eggmanland having finally been built. Utterly humiliated and toyed with from the very beginning, he's done with Eggman's stunts. I don't know if Sonic would've actually killed Eggman if given an opportune chance (and a more mature rating) but it's clear this is the angriest he's ever been with his hated rival. And now we're here. Two arch-enemies falling to the center of the Earth. Eggman's plan is so close to being fulfilled while Sonic was just robbed of the last chance to stop it and get his old life back. So close to the end and robbed at the last minute by each other. This fight holds all of their hatred for each other being unleashed (pun totally intended), their frustrations over this journey coupled with their anger over all these years. They don't care about accomplishing their goals here. They don't even care that they are falling to the center of the planet. Both of them have only one goal in mind: pure unadulterated revenge. Edit: Looking back on this while not sleep deprived, I can't tell how much feels true and how much is just me blowing smoke out of my ass 😅 Either way I love this boss
Eggman genuinely tries to kill Sonic basically every time he fights him aside from maybe first bosses where he's sandbagging... In SA1 and 06 he essentially suicide bombs Sonic just to try and finish him off, and he almost actually kills him with zero hesitation in SA2. He's always trying, and he's usually having a tantrum about it, especially when it's the last boss and he's backed into a corner with his plan basically out the window. They just made this particular one pretty dramatic, which is cool. And I don't think Sonic is particularly more angry with Eggman than usual here, the Werehog's quicktime cutscene things are always that brutal because that's kind of his aesthetic (and it's ripping off God of War etc.). Sonic is, if anything, put off by how nuts Eggman is in the fight, he even tells him to calm down.
What makes it different here from all the other games for me is that in all the other games, Eggman does the typical trope of "Leave and hope the device kills his rival", but in this one he's sticking around, fully intent to make sure Sonic is 100% dead, and wants to see to it himself. Sonic on the other hand has had it up to hear with all of Eggman's shit from over the years and finally has an excuse to let loose on this fat cocky asshole.
I love how, "Uncanny" the instruments in this can sound, even feeling downright wrong, as if the strings and the brass have lost their soul. Eggman is a perfect parallel to Sonic, despite their goals being very different, they both have the same determination to achieve them. Eggman is a monster that shall always be stopped by the true hero, Sonic.
It feels like every string instrument has its strings tuned too tightly, giving it that screechy sound effect despite them trying to play normally. Perfect for this boss fight 👏
@@TheHammerGuy94 its not the same egg dragoon obviously. renember how eggman stated he will create an ultra hyper prototype 2? the egg dragoon is so different in generations that its mindblowingly obvious that generations is where eggman builds the ultra hyper prototype 2.
Proceeds to shoot a drill at himself to get rid of sonic... Ladies and gentlemen... 300 IQ doctor right here, couldnt even weigh the risks of hitting himself and “THIS IS A DELICATE MACHINE”
Fun fact Dragoons originally were a class of mounted infantry, who used horses for mobility, but dismounted to fight on foot. From the early 18th century onward, dragoons were increasingly also employed as conventional cavalry, trained for combat with swords from horseback.
Definitely the best Sonic Boss soundtrack ever, huge credits to Hideaki Kobayashi. This piece has some unbelievable and interesting dissonance to create catastrophe affect. It repeats the same notes backwards and forwards, a common technique used in circus music, thus giving it the affect that Eggman has snapped and gone crazy. The high violins make a screeching noise to add to the catastrophe affect. And apart from that it’s just an astonishing piece, it’s going to take an amazing composer to create better boss music than this!
@@Mantafirefly That is a good question to ask, but think about it like this: You're trying to recreate a piece of music for a boss that is SIGNIFICANTLY easier than its original counterpart. What would you do?
@@ordersol5221 That's probably not the spec given to the composer, at the time they make music they have no idea of the difficulty of the level it will be used for since that's still in development, it's probably more just "We need a remix of this theme, but less werehog and more sonic, what can you do?" and they just took out the "scary" bits but forgot to put anything else back in.
What I love about this game? "Oh you thought this was the final boss? Hahaha we're just getting started!" ^That is the reason this will forever be my favorite modern Sonic game. It goes above and beyond.
@Order Sol If you think of it, in the scenario where the fight happens, fighting with the normal sonic will be a HELL, and how eggman mentions that the robot is build to counter NORMAL sonic, but no werehog sonic
Darragh Roche & Knuckles This is late but while Sonic forces is a mediocre game, I’ll forever hate it for ruining my two favorite Eggman mechs, the death egg robot and the egg dragoon.
The Generations version was complete ass. No sense of urgency from a story standpoint, inferior "remix" with less instruments, and the actual fight was just a tiresome as fuck 2D obstacle run where all you do is jump over ice bombs until the wall jumping part arrives.
One small yet oft-skipped detail is that the Unleashed Egg Dragoon is not only a prototype, but intended for use against regular, day-time Sonic, not the Werehog. Eggman had seemingly put more effort on the weaponry, but only because regular Sonic's not as strong as the Werehog, on the physical side of things. The Generations Egg Dragoon is not only a version with more time in the making while _still_ using Dark Gaia's power (unlike in Forces, as mentioned later on), but also fought against the regular, "day-time" (now full-time) Sonic. The Forces Egg Dragoon, on the other hand, seems to be a revamp of the Generations Dragoon, post-destruction. Having lost Dark Gaia's power in its entirety, Eggman's forced to use other, unmentioned power sources, thus making the Dragoon weaker, now that it's not being fueled by the planet's lifeforce. It does seem to be a finalized version, at least, unlike Unleashed's.
I believe it failed in generations for two reason first one is sonic has grown much stronger taking out a god in that game in base form the egg dragoon is now outdated and also cause sonic is just generally faster than most of the attacks but it still isn't easy as that boss is a long boss it takes a long time to take it out and sonic can't hit it direclty rather impede it he does even land the final blow if anything sonic just makes it loose power
That kind of makes sense, since I'm pretty sure the Egg Dragoon wouldn't have had those big things the Werehog ripped right off if it were mean't to fight day Sonic, and it withstood a couple more hits against Sonic in Generations. The Forces part is probably also true, or maybe it was weaker because it wasn't meant to fight classic Sonic either.
Are we also not going to appreciate besides frontiers recently this is the only main line sonic game where he throws hands. (I know he throws hands in the spin offs, someone will comment this).
@@agentclank8183 I mean I know Forces was a fairly forgettable experience (I re-completed it the day before Frontiers came out and I can’t remember any of it) but I distinctly remember Sonic beating the fuck out of Zavok, granted that was a Phantom Ruby clone but still. Hey remember when we all thought the fighting animation in Frontiers was taken from that Zavok scene pre-release? I do, man those were wild times… Remember when we called the Cyloop the Spin Cycle? That’s still a better name though, sounds more Sonicy y’know.
If you think about it, Eggman wanted to personally take Sonic to the deepest depths of the earth to bury him, This is no longer about world domination, this is about taking out the one blue rodent who’s caused him all this pain all the years
I just had a thought. The reason Eggman is really aggressive in the fight. Could it be because the dragoon is powered by dark gaia energy? We see dark gaia's power change people at night in the story. In regular people it made them feel hopeless, but in eggman it brought out his rage towards sonic
You know thats actually a pretty good reason as to why Eggman was in that state during this fight with Sonic, Dark Gaia's influence on him made him go to the point of literally killing Sonic for good this time after his plans for creating his empire were crushed by him yet again
Could also explain why Sonic is much more agressive too that it even scares eggman at the end. Sonic climbs and punches the cock put at the edges to remove it from the machine but at the end, he just punches the glass for no reason as if he was aimming for eggman only for the glass withstand the hit. Chip mentions that the only reason he didn't change by dark gaia's power was because of his strong will, prehaps he losing it on this fight especially since he was in a near death experience.
Yes, i definately think and have made a few comments in the video saying this. Eggman certainly seems off in this fight, like he's high on something. I think dark gaia was getting to him
The comments in this video give me goosebumps. They describe exactly WHY this fight is so awesome. I'm on the same boat, this has to be the Sonic Fight that shows Eggman at his most viceral, unhinged and hate-filled. And this music goes along with Eggman's actions and Dialogue SO Damn Well!
Egg dragoon in unleashed:a actual boss that is fun but challenging to face Egg dragoon in generations:a change of pace but still a actual boss to face Egg dragoon in forces:a freaking joke I'm hoping in the next sonic game, they made the egg dragoon a fun but challenging boss again instead of as a joke
They literally took the egg dragoon and brought it down from being a fun, challenging and epic boss battle to being an over-used boss that isnt fun and is more like as an over-used joke that none of us like
This song is something severely between Panic, Seriousness and Intensity. It's an intense battle, on a platform going down to the middle of the earth, and Eggman has to counter what he has made sonic turn into, while doing his evil plan. Eggman is serious this time, and his robot, which sonic destroyed in the beginning (the intro), is now much more improved. This is the battle that Robotnik always wanted to commence. Not these little robots and miserable things he always does because he barely has any time to build them. He worked on this one from the beggining.
This song really shows how this is a final fight with eggman, this is one of the farthest feats eggman has made, completing eggman land. However, someone he despises and has been fighting for years somehow still manages to foil his plans. He has completely lost it. The song uses violins and fanfare like trumpets to show how big and intense this fight is. The fight itself is also much more intense than any other sonic boss fight, eggman tearing terrain apart, entering the earths core, even sonic tells eggman to “simmer down” as he is being shot at mid air by a broken eggman. Another thing, sonic goes for head on shots, targeting eggmans capsule, causing it to almost shatter on impact with a punch from sonic, had the glass not held eggman wouldve been gravely injured from the kill shots sonic is going for.
Dude this is completely irrelevant but you just reminded me of a video I got in my recommended page and it was some Ace Attorney video and I didn’t realize it was a parody song and I clicked on it because I was bored and Maya started singing that one song that has “hot damn” and it sucked and I’ve been scarred from the cringe. You’d best believe I clicked off of that video immediately
I like how each of the three times that the Egg Dragoon was fought since Unleashed, it was with a different form of Sonic. Unleashed - Werehog Generations - Modern Sonic Forces - Classic Sonic
@@toainsully Well, in the opening cutscene of Unleashed, Eggman did technically use an early prototype of the Egg Dragoon that was destroyed by Super Sonic.
@@smileyfaceproductions7477 in forces Eggman said that the egg dragoon only lost 10% of its combat strength with tails responding back saying that Eggman was lying implying it was much weaker than before. So classic sonic only destroyed a much weaker egg dragoon
I love how this boss theme is literally fitting for the egg dragoon. In unleashed,it has the speed of the daytime boss theme but the intensity of the night time bosses as eggman in this is game is tha day boss in a night boss. In generations it is fully a daytime bosses. And in forces got downgraded to a glorified classic boss.
Eggman is here to kill Sonic, that's pretty much what's going on here. Falling to the center of the planet while Eggman brings out his most powerful mech to date, and is likely a mech Eggman has not been able to recreate in terms of sheer power. His voice-lines basically saying that Sonic WILL die here. But then there's Sonic. He's in his Werehog form, and he is quite literally ripping that robot to shreds in the moment. It's the point Eggman is begging for his life basically...what I'm seeing here is the most climactic battle these two have ever head. Both Sonic and Eggman are attacking each other with full force and little regard to their own safety. SEGA was able to encapsulate a battle truly epic without even using the Super Form (although Super Sonic v. Perfect Dark Gaia was epic as hell too). This was the final game to date that truly displayed Sonic and Eggman's raw hatred for each other...I'm positive the only reason Sonic hasn't straight-up killed Eggman yet was because of Sonic's complete belief in proper justice. Otherwise, the anger in this battle shown by Sonic shows that he hates Eggman just as much as Eggman hates him.
Unpopular opinion: this is the best sonic game soundtrack by far Update: 1. Unleashed 2. Colors 3. SA2 4. Sonic Rush 5. Sonic 06 Edit: Wow, I would have never expected a comment like this would get so many likes, I appreciate it a lot! Also, just to clear some things up: When I say "unpopular", I mainly mean that every sonic soundtrack has its own following, since there isn't just one that would be "the most popular". And honestly, with the list it could probably change like 5 times just in one day. Except for the top 3 those will stay there for awhile.
This is by far the most raw, brutal and vicious battle between Sonic and Eggman in the entire series. Every encounter during the game thus far between the two has been during the day, so Eggman has had no way to collect data on what makes the Werehog tick. The Egg Dragoon was designed to be the ultimate opposition to regular Sonic, not the Werehog, which explains why the battle itself is relatively easy here and much harder in Generations. With both parties being powered and influenced by literal pure dark energy, this battle is where I'd argue the game and maybe even the entire series peaks. Sonic is done with the crap Eggman has caused, to him especially with the curse of the Werehog form, and he's not holding back anymore, directly attacking Eggman for a change instead of just his machinery. Eggman is running on pure rage, and he wants Sonic dead. He's so close to finally achieving his lifelong plan, and Sonic is on the brink of taking it all down, Eggmanland and all. His lines during this battle really encapsulates that. This entire battle is two arch-enemies, both powered by pure negative energy, ruthlessly attacking each other whilst falling to the core of the Earth with a complete disregard of their own safety. I love this game.
I like the Irony of it all In the night bosses you beat Machinations born from Dark Gaia, in the daytime you fight Eggmans creations. Now it’s flipped, your Fighting a Heavily armored mech made by Eggman and Super Sonic will go off to fight Dark Gaia
My favorite boss in the game, and favorite music by far. By the time I was nearing the end of Eggmanland, I was so frustrated and drained, but man, this boss was like a breath of fresh air. So much fun!
While I think we'll never truly see the final confrontation between Sonic and Eggman, this fight felt like _A_ final battle of some kind. The stakes, the brutality on display from both sides and the lengths they'd go to, how at this point it was more about seeing the other dead than accomplishing their actual goal for both of them... _something_ was settled here forever, even if I'm not entirely sure what.
2 things i tell from this fight one it wasn't intended for the warehog only intended for normal sonic which is why you tear it to shreds. And two when sonic says whoa eggman simmer down that indicates to you eggman has finally snapped and pissed so he doesn't care about anything other than sonic dying.
This track did wonderfully for this fight and I grew to love it. Finally both Sonic and Eggman lose their shits to the close point of finale. Eggman suffered so many humiliation and defeat, and finally taking ALL his anger to Sonic. Sonic(as a werehog) is finally settling a score and having closure with his most hated enemy for his revenge and redemption after the event from prologue.
based on its meaning to its game, it had to be... generations was just the modern Era boss. in unleashed... this was serious business. thus, more threatening
Yea the unleashed version was way better but at least they found a way to make the generations version a bit challenging and fit modern Sonic's style pretty well. And then there's the version from Forces which just sucked tbh
@@BlueLemonz_ Yeah, Sonic forces isn't so bad IMO, unlike other games in the sonic series, 06, Shadow the hedgehog e.t.c. But Forces just kinda left me disappointed.
This is peak Eggman. With Eggmanland at the end of it's lifespan as Sonic restores the final level, Eggman makes one last attempt, trying just to kill Sonic at all costs. But if he gets too caught up and the Werehog gets to the cockpit, let's just say he hasn't come this far just to fail either. But both sides need to act fast as they plummet towards the center of the Earth...
I'm sorry but nahhh, SU is fantastic and my favorite game in the series but it isn't even close to being the "most polished" It's got several glaring issues that keep it from being so, (controls, medals, framerate, etc.) I'd say Generations is a lot closer to being the most polished compared to Unleashed.
I think it might be my favourite Boss Fight in all of gaming. I mean first the buildup with that awesome cutscene, then the music, and the whole "plummeting to the centre of the planet" thing, and how Eggman is so dead serious throughout, and how brutal Sonic is, and the quick-time cinematics, and also the fact that you can choose not to do the quick-time events and just punch him instead.
I love how everyone points out how this boss is designed to oppose Day Sonic in a unique way, which is why I would I like to believe that even *this* boss theme further emphasizes this point, it's fast paced like the Day Boss theme depite _playing on a Werehog/Night Boss_ Man I love details like these, so subtle, yet so effective
With this theme all of you could assume that Eggman wasn't fooling around, he REALLY mean it about killing Sonic and nothing could stop him, same goes for Sonic but he just didn't wanted to kill Eggman.
@@lucomc32607 I would add Sonic Adventure as well, I like when Robotnik was purely evil brought back how he was in the original trilogy of games and the Adventure games. Can we stop to appreciate how utterly SAVAGE Sonic is in this fight? The day time bosses are your traditional sonic fare, most werehog bosses are rockem sockem robots
This one? He’s literally just ripping pieces off of it. Even Eggman screams when sonic leaps onto the canopy. Like, not in his usually angry, hammy voice, he just flat out starts begging sonic to leave him alone. Just... dear god
Exactly, it's my favorite Werehog moment in the whole game.
I mean, Eggman isn't giving him many options, either. Sonic's fighting for his dear life here, after all. You're falling to the center of the earth, as Eggman's last resource. He's taking Sonic down, no matter what.

Whoa! Simmer down Eggman!
Zetsubō Doesn't mean you have to literally post the same comment twice in the same chain, though.
Edit: Looking back on this while not sleep deprived, I can't tell how much feels true and how much is just me blowing smoke out of my ass 😅

@@The_Man_Who_Sold_the_World. I got a little carried away when I typed this lmao. I'm pretty sure it was like 2AM
@@Squishito To be fair sonic throw's eggman back into the earth's bloody crust. Who knows how many kilometers that was.
"G-geez Eggman! Simmer down!"
Even Sonic, who has seen Eggman fail on repeat, is terrified of Eggmans motive.
I love how, "Uncanny" the instruments in this can sound, even feeling downright wrong, as if the strings and the brass have lost their soul. Eggman is a perfect parallel to Sonic, despite their goals being very different, they both have the same determination to achieve them.

Fun fact Dragoons originally were a class of mounted infantry, who used horses for mobility, but dismounted to fight on foot. From the early 18th century onward, dragoons were increasingly also employed as conventional cavalry, trained for combat with swords from horseback.
Thanks for the info bud
Fitting, since you fight against Eggman and his Egg Dragoon, which uses the drill in a way one wields a sword.
Also fitting that he fights at close quarters and hovers slowly left to right, like pacing back and forth, waiting for an opening.

@@savageace1152 I KNOW RIGHT AND I AGREE WITH U AND IT TOOK ME A WHILE TO BEAT THAT LONG ASS BOSS
Wait, wasn't the Egg Dragoon taken out by Classic Sonic, not Modern ? (in Forces)
Even though the Werehog will probably remain a one time thing throughout the series, it DEFINITELY went out with a bang in this boss fight

Eggman actually said that in the cutscene before his fight with the Werehog, the Egg Dragoon is powered by Dark Gaia's energy
@@dr.clears9101 his plans where crushed because when sonic saw dark gaia he turned into super with the emeralds
Could also explain why Sonic is much more agressive too that it even scares eggman at the end.
Sonic climbs and punches the cock put at the edges to remove it from the machine but at the end, he just punches the glass for no reason as if he was aimming for eggman only for the glass withstand the hit.

Egg Dragoon in Sonic Generations: Most difficult challenge in the game BY FAR.
Eggman was at his peek in the past

3. SA2
4. Sonic Rush
5. Sonic 06

Also, just to clear some things up:
When I say "unpopular", I mainly mean that every sonic soundtrack has its own following, since there isn't just one that would be "the most popular". And honestly, with the list it could probably change like 5 times just in one day. Except for the top 3 those will stay there for awhile.
Agreed wholeheartedly
*Clicks strongly agree*
Oo yea
Not so unpopular actually
Nah this comes in second SA2 is the best

I love how everyone points out how this boss is designed to oppose Day Sonic in a unique way, which is why I would I like to believe that even *this* boss theme further emphasizes this point, it's fast paced like the Day Boss theme depite _playing on a Werehog/Night Boss_
Man I love details like these, so subtle, yet so effective
I love how demented and psychotic they made egg man and his theme in these last few moments
This version sure sounds much more threatening compare to other versions, surely because the place where this battle take place.
Whenever I think of this boss all I can think of eggman saying "it's time for a change of pace"
Eggman really had enough of sonic’s bull and tried to kill him here while going straight into the earths core
With this theme all of you could assume that Eggman wasn't fooling around, he REALLY mean it about killing Sonic and nothing could stop him, same goes for Sonic but he just didn't wanted to kill Eggman.
When you realize this is an upgraded version of the mech Sonic had to use the chaos emeralds to escape from at the beginning of the story.
*This* is the Sonic vs Eggman dynamic that made me a fan, not whatever Frontiers' unnatural dialogue was trying to accomplish

TIME FOR A CHANGE OF--
Wait, wrong game.
PACE!
@@Dreg-Freg FREEZE!
this has to be the perfect representation of what eggman is feeling. he is annoyed of you ruining all of his plans so he wants you *dead*
This captures the bombastic idea that I am fighting a man named eggman in a big deadly mech suit as we bots fall down the the earth core
Year true
This is the only game eggman did something really evil, & this is what we all want.
Nah he was worse in SA2
@@lucomc32607 I would add Sonic Adventure as well, I like when Robotnik was purely evil brought back how he was in the original trilogy of games and the Adventure games.
I love those type of villains where their just regular people with no powers whatsoever but they cause mass destruction or are intimidating like how Robotnik used to be those are the best villains to me the ones that have powers or are OP are overrated.
@@Skye2993 Well if we want to pull straws technically Unleashed is part of the adventure series by name only "Sonic World Adventure". So maybe this influenced the writing a bit.
@@agentclank8183 That’s true and Empire City could be an extended part of Station Square, since a lot of time had past since Sonic Adventure and they probably added more to the city as Skyscraper Scamper did remind me of Speed Highway just during the day instead of at night.
Huge shout out to this being my favorite song ever since I first played this game years back
This was the moment Eggman became Heisenburg
Eggman usually: I would capture you Sonic! You blue hedgehog will be defeated by my machine!
Eggman in Egg Dragoon: i want you dead.
beating Eggmanland for the first time, I thought I was going to be able to relax for a bit before anything else occurred. Then suddenly this banger starts playing and I have to pick my controller back up. 10/10, would love to get jumpscared by a major boss after an extremely painful level again
Great Boss, great music and great combination of day and night boss in the game. Totally perfect
So I played this boss today and it's loads of fun, definitely one of my fav Sonic bosses of all time.
0:00 - 2:13 is actually insane composition
