Make a multiplayer monday where the bot capsules are painted your colors, you build your piece of the arena, and then you have a bot war with each other.
Apparently they are adding 10 more levels and a prize so it isn't too neglected compared to the other modes but it still the older brother of the scrap mechanic gamemodes
I’m working on a space station project,if this update comes out during the time I’m working on it,Ima need a whole new creative map, luckily I’m saving different parts and sections, and am thinking of welding all the parts together after building them separately, rather than building it all as one thing
I have an idea for the bot cpsules: You could Create a sort of battlefield with hazards and obstacles, and a point counting mechanism hooked up to the a machine containing capsules, You can activate the button at any time, and depending on how many points were counted(Gained by waiting), and what type of bot you selected, a differen amount of bots is released on the field, and your points are cleared. The game is played with two players on each side of the battlefield, and each players spawnable bots are coloured, so they will only fight enemy bots. The winner of the game is whoever can coordinate their bot army to destroy the other players base or core or something. Maybe one could even have designated areas in their own base, where they are allowed to help their bots via hammers or activated traps, though that might be difficult to do since we dont know how hostility to players will work...
6:30 that is not a problem because when you are away from your base, the raid won't start either, and when you get close to your base, the bots will spawn at the exact same time that the timer and your base defenses are loaded, so bots won't be able to do any damage because by the time they get to your base, your defenses will already be active.
I haven't ever seen anyone as excited and happy when reading changelogs/devblogs, etc. It truly makes my day :) In the morning I watch your vids while I eat breakfast and it really makes my day feel so much easier.
A propeller would also be nice, to be like a scrap thruster, using a lot less fuel and giving a lot less thrust, but still very efficient on boats, regardless of if above water or below water. Imagine using the paint gun to get bots to fight eachother, instead of fighting you. Now the paint tool will truly be a paint gun. The creation blueprint idea of yours is really good, and along the lines of what I was thinking, as well. Maybe even show the not-placed-yet blocks as ghost blocks, barely visible (transparency) and blue, and the blocks which you need to build which are touching the already-placed blocks as red half-transparent ghost blocks. And maybe an option to have a red pulsing for the blocks which are placed and are different than the blocks in the blueprint, but turning it off will mean we can replace metal with wood and thick pipes with thin pipes and big wheels with small wheels without the whole creation flashing before our eyes.
5:51 I’m imagining a ridiculously long hallway the just has the floor come up and block entry at night ,and like the floor has more metal under it than you would’ve thought, and also defenses could come out the front and floor of the base
When the update arrives Make a multiplayer Monday where u build castles with defenses, and you’ll put troops (bots) of ur color to fight kAN, j0nbane and moonbo!
14:22 I actually thought, imagine building a big underground cube base, those guys would be like a pest, they would probably enter they base by biting through it and then you would just have to find it and kill it.
5:30 you could turn your base lights on at night and back off when the sun rises. Cool concept! 11:30 You can paint hank so that you know which bot is hank (except only in creative)!
4:04 For anyone wondering what the text in the quest thing is, it's a paragraph of Lorem Ipsum, which is used as placeholder text everywhere (doesn't actually mean anything) You can see "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet." if you zoom in on it.
You should do a new series when the update comes out like the medieval fantasy world series, but with 2 or more faction of bots fighting each other. Or you could even do a video/series where you go in multiplayer and try to destroy each other's castles and stuff. I really hope you see this and keep up the good work!!!
I actually think you could genuinely utilize those new cable bots as a tool. Assuming that the caves work similarly to warehouses in the aspect of using elevators that keep anything on it spawned in, (also assuming they don't despawn instantly upon leaving their cave) you could probably make a "jar" of sorts to hold them. This also assumes that they cannot simply cut through literally every block in the game. But if this isn't the case, the best use would be lumberjacking. It wouldn't be as hard or unreliable as controller systems, and wouldn't be nearly as complex as piston engines for using sawblades. You would just have them hack away at it. Then, everything is dropped into a kill chamber to be reset, and you grab more of them to load in next time you have more wood. They would chop down any amount of wood into the smallest form (unrefined, though) and once you've killed the cable bots, you simply unload the wood and store it wherever you like. Just remember the railing, or they will crawl right out.
Multiplayer Monday Idea! (Using the new bot capsules) Everyone builds a base defense out of cardboard to defend a castle then they link two defenses together so they face each other and place bots, painted so they fight each other, and see who’s bots can survive the longest.
I noticed couple of month after the survival release that there were some XML files that contains dialogs in the game folders. I'm assuming this was in the pipe before the release and they kept those to reduce the future update size. Don't remember what this was though, but you guys can check it out!
by the creative mode update i hope to see a BOT Wars Series, where you guys make vehicles that harvest wood and rocks and then you have like 10 mins to go harvest as much materials as you can (but you cant use your hammer only saws and drills) When the timer ends you go back and trade the materials for bot capsules where you're gonna set a price for each type of bot and then after trading you go to an arena and let the BOT Wars begin!
I figured out why the cable clippers were underground, once the bots went rouge they were set to damage and disrupt underground communication networks!
When update comes out do a challenge where you have to drill to a wall of rocks and after every wall there are robots that get more dangerous after each wall.
just got back from watching "jurassic world" after 3 years of not watching it! it still made me tear up due to the sad parts of people dying but it brings me back
MM idea after the update: 2v2 Fort battle, every team build a fort with traps and stuff. The attacking team places down bots (you can limit the number of bots), the defending team activates traps, or use the hammer or spudgun. Winner is the one whos fort takes longer the destroy. [In the middle if the fort there should be something the bots agro toward, and if it gets destroyed the bots win. ]
it did say in the dev blog that they were adding water "to some of the tiles, AS WELL AS a border around the map" so I assume we will get water inside the map and not just around it.
Quest most likely says: Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Curabitur ultricies neque et lacus tempus cursus. Sed et lacinia est, vel lacinia nisl...
Soo looking forward to this update, now - especially that menu world editor! I suspect your first one will be your channel logo, ScrapMan - lol - and I would expect that ;-) XD
12:10 how about a Multiplayer Monday game where you have an arena, and you have to build a vehicle that will survive the longest against waves of bots!
I think they will add creation saving in survival. It might even be part of the next devlog. Because if build something to mine rocks in creative how would you get that perfect vehicle in survival mode.
Maybe that tutorial device might also be designed later to become a Blueprint tool later, where they can bring creative mode blueprints into the game? Who knows.
Scrapman opening a huge can of meme worms: " I don't know how digging will function." Me: "Well Scrapman, function really doesn't matter, what does matter is-" "-We are basically dwarves and we will be digging holes." (Take it away, Internets!!!) We get to get zerg rushed now? Oh boy! I really would like a repeating quest or a new trader that will take all of these circuit boards and give me component kits for them. I can find circuit boards so often they might as well be growing on trees, but their actual crafting use is only so little. Component kits are needed to not only build just about anything with an output reading or signal, but also to upgrade things; but they're so rare, I'd have better luck finding a flourishing rose bush in the middle of a desert tundra. BUT!!!! I would not be entirely against us being able to suddenly be able to craft our own version of the cable bot. Something like a "scrap bot". A mix-match of parts that more or less look like the cable bot, but will roam around a certain area you place it down at and it will attack everything except you (including WOKs). It's not the best design, but upgrading it could improve its speed, attack, and learning (what to and not to attack). Underground bases.....This has just engaged a new gear set in my head going. So when it comes to map tiles, we have only known them to reach in relative positive and negative X and Y and a positive Z. Now we're going down or a negative Z direction. Will this be a new map tile all on its own or will map tiles be the 2D square boundaries and everything with the 3D space of that 2D boundary is the tile? Like can we create watering systems where we have a pump up in a lake or river and directly connect it to a water sprayer underground or will it be a "different tile" and be too far to connect?
Now that a solid base for survival is out, it seems Axolot are now working at their full creative potential! I sooooo look forward to enemy capsules, lol, like spawn eggs from minecraft but cooler. In another note, even though its a creative mode element I like to think that this is reflective of the way bots were transported in the Scrap universe. I like it because the idea of transporting bots inside of capsules has a child like whimsy to it that is reminiscent of when I use to love capsule toys...
When you're zoomed out on the blurred quest text, it seems a little easier to make out. It looks to me like Lorem ipsum text, so the actual quests themselves are probably not fleshed out yet.
They could use the tutorial block on survival as a way to build workshop creations, by creating a "hologram" for the workshop build you want, just like the photo on the devblog!
When I saw the tutorial block, I thought it was blueprints. This is something I would love for them to add in survival. The ability to save builds but require the player to place block by block to learn how it works.
Hmmm, looks like a phone call from the ever sinister farmer, commanding you where to find some of his cloned brethren, kidnap them from safely caged captivity and break their legs?
My favorite parts of the devblog are: 1. Mining 2. Water in creative (i still don't know if water is going to work as an asset cuz now it only visualizes in the tile creation menu) 3. the quest system 4. the bot capsules 5. the quest system, clock and the crawl bot thing lemme know if i missed anything
Yeah, im gonna say no. 40 bots would bugsplat the game, having 40 in each colour??? 🤣🤣🤣 cant even remember how many colours there are, but its more than 10. 400 bots would blow your computer up. Im gonna say......no.
13:15 Welp,i hope they make it something you get at the start of survival mode,so that I can play survival mode and not have a vehicle that flips over at the slightest turn
The water tiles is really cool, but this update they seems to be focusing underground. They've placed a water, wood and stone test place on creative, which were lacking. So it seems to me they just worried to fill in these gaps to worry abput it later. Still I think you'd be able to create tiles that has water at the global constant level (would be funny different level tiles interacting)
Multiplayer wave based Tower-Defense would be a good use for the capsules, even using them on your side during the challenge
YOO THAT'S AWESOME

So it seems to me they just worried to fill in these gaps to worry abput it later. Still I think you'd be able to create tiles that has water at the global constant level (would be funny different level tiles interacting)
Multiplayer mondays are gonna be alot more fun now :D
Would be cool if the cable bots could take control of player made vehicles
