- The FBI says it has not yet determined a motive after the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump. The shooting at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania also killed an attendee and seriously wounded two others. The FBI said Sunday that it believes the 20-year-old gunman acted alone and said he was not previously on the bureau's radar.

It's a human reaction to be indifferent at best towards people who bring chaos into our lives with greed and ambition. I would look to that dynamic if some of the security people were not doing their best. For example, if the person speaking was genuinely loved the security might have been more devoted to their job of keeping him safe. On top of that it seems pretty clear that Trump rallies are seething points of negativity and blame which might generate conditions that are impossible to make truly secure. I don't know the answer but I do know it's bad for us to be so divided.
