Best long pass ever, hands down. Temper, class, brains, tough defending, heart, all fielder, great shooter. One of the best players I've seen.

When I was younger Veron was my Idol. he won serie A with Lazio. They had a dream team. He played like a boss, great understanding of the game and inch perfect passing.

Pablo Aimar is my idol and he always played close to the striker. For him it’s important that the ball comes quick so he has more time. Many times in his career this wasn’t the case but the few times he played with Veron a bit behind him he got the ball on a plate with the right speed and timing. He even got surprised by it and sometimes lost the ball because didnt expected it with all the failures of the other central midfielders. A lob, a backheel or without even looking, it always reached Pablito on the moment when its asked for. That alone gave me the insight about Veron fantastically understands the game and his teammates.
For me Veron is the only player that still no one appear to match him in long ball passe's what legend

Entre Busquet y la bruja me quedo mil veces con la bruja,siempre pedia la pelota, era el eje, el socio de todos, su mayor virtud era su practicidad, demasiado inteligente y rapido mentalmente..busquet tiene que transportar mas, este ya sabia antes que le llegara la pelota, Busquet no tiene el despliegue físico de el..
Para mi el mejor mixto de la historia de este Deporte..

Verón was called up for the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France, where Argentina was eliminated by the Netherlands in the quarter-finals following a 2-1 defeat; during the match, Veron set-up Claudio López's goal. A rumour (never confirmed) that Verón had failed an internal doping test, and allegations of laziness hampered his relationship with the media and fans. He was called up again for the 2002 World Cup in South Korea/Japan, where Verón was regarded as a key player and captained the side in place of the injured Roberto Ayala. Some fans held him personally responsible for Argentina's dismal performance, which included a loss to England and elimination in the group phase.

Fantastic player. Would of done better at united at a different time in life. Tough task wen ya got scholes and Keane to fight with. Was more suited to the CL games with the pace being less frantic, PL played at a quicker tempo and ya don’t receive as much time. Serie A was the perfect place to weave his magic 👍🏼

He came from 90s Serie A which was overall tougher than PL in that era. But the Italian game was always a bit different to the English. I blame Fergie.

His line breaking pass was busquets before busquets, but Veron was an offensive player. I wonder if Paredes based his game on him.
Para mí Verón fue mejor que Busquet, pedía siempre el balón y se hacía eje sin ser un 10 nato..La gente no entiende el juego,Busquet de segunda o tercera guitarra pero nunca de primera..
Se fue xavi ee Iniesta y no fue capaz de hecharse el barca al hombro ni la selección española..
No tenía la pegada de Verón, ni el pase largo ,ni el liderazgo..todo el mundo habla de Busquet que si es bueno pero se ha puesto mucho de moda porq jugó al lado de mounstros..
