Thanks for providing the written procedure this really helped being a first-time blower motor changer. Everything worked as your procedure described and I did not need to touch the airbag. Only comments are I found it easier to disconnect the 3 plastic fasteners before removing the bolts (to make it easier to remove the bolts) and I didn't have a 13mm ratcheting wrench however I was able to remove this nut with an 1/8" drive deep 13mm socket and small ratchet.
Great video! I will add this for anyone else watching this video: #1 remove the driver seat. It will make things a whole lot easier. #2 remove the airbag under the steering wheel. Make sure to disconnect the battery for at least 10 minutes before doing that. It will also save you a lot of effort and time. #3 be careful not to turn your steering wheel after you've disconnected the shaft. If you turn it too many times in either direction, you will damage your clock spring. I give this advice from my own personal experience.
Great video I'm working on mine now just wanted to see the motor actually come out I got everything else off then it got dark going to take the fan out tomorrow and put everything back together. I did remove the airbag module it was easy to do and was able to get the top bolt for the break pedal bracket off with a long extension and rachet I also was able to leave the break pedal on the bracket. Good video all the other ones take to much apart 👍👍👍
Can I ask the reason for changing it. I've got a 2013 and when the blower is on level 3 I'm getting a whirring/whistling noise. When the heater is off I also get a whirring noise coming from behind the dash/steering wheel so I'm thinking it could be the blower motor that has a issue was this the same for you?
It was completely out. The motor would not spin at all. A whirring noise may be the motor or possibly a blockage somewhere in the air flow. Does it happen only on recirculation? Maybe you need new cabin air filters.

Are you really eating during the last clip lmao??? About 10:50?.. I know people have to eat but it really wasn't nice to listen to lol

If the motor blows good it should not make any noise if it's off probably something else
I followed all the steps, and my blower is functioning again.
But I notice my brake lights will not turn off when I lockup my car. Do you know why
Maybe the petal isn’t making perfect contact with electric switches
Did you remove the airbag? Other videos show the airbag being removed. If you don't need to that saves a lot of time.
No. I never had to touch the air bags. Just the peddle assembly and the lower connection to the steering shaft.
