BUSH FLYING in a FLOATPLANE around Whitehorse, Yukon!

- In June last year, I visited beautiful Whitehorse, Yukon, and although I’ve already posted a couple videos from that trip, I wanted to share another unique thing I did while I was there.
As an Alberta resident, I’ve never actually been on a floatplane, and with only a few days to spend in Whitehorse, I figured this would be the best way to see as much as I can!
Enjoy this look at flying in a floatplane around this gorgeous part of Canada!

Planes on this channel keep getting smaller and smaller, don't they?
Alex Praglowski Aviation yep
Just waiting for you to fly in a cub now
How about a tranatlantic ultralight tripreport?
Alex Praglowski Aviation and as usual you speak in kilometers and don’t give miles... but it seems as though if those of us who live in the us are expected to give a conversion..
I'm convinced by now you're just trying to see what the smallest aircraft you can fit yourself into is!
Yukon is hands down one of the most beautiful provinces in Canada... It’s like a mixture of northern Quebec and British Columbia. Love it!
It's not a province, but a territory. Slight difference in the two...
As a 20 (I'm a 73 yrs now) something yr old female, I hitchiked by lite planes from Edmonton, AB, to Whitehorse YT (with my small dog & her 4 pups). I spent 8 yrs up there, & loved every minute of it! I was lucky to have a verrry accomplished helicopter pilot as a boyfriend, & we went out often, exploring everywhere...old trappers & gold panners cabins, etc. We'd see herds of every kind of wild animal a person cud imagine. Watching this vid, brings back verrry fond memories, of what I consider to be 'the most beautiful place in Canada' - & I've seen them all!!
You my friend are living the life! The BC and lower Yukon bush is the best place in the world for bush flying.
In some ways floatplanes are a under appreciated part of aviation.
Hoping that aviation gets back to normal, as well as all other industries too! Can't wait to see more of your videos
Same here
Hey I know u lol
Oh hey Victor!

@@ncscapture1417 hi!!
Now that must have been fun! Great footage aboard this seaplane, love the views above the airport and of the nice northern landscapes.
Awesome video Alex! Very unique aircraft and video! The Canadian wilderness is so beautiful. Great Job! 👍
Watched the whole thing, really enjoyed it! Those views were amazing! Nice job, mate! :)
Stunning! I love taking float plane trips and need to explore Yukon someday
Another great video Alex!
Thanks for such an enjoyable program! Looking forward to your upcoming vlogs. Take care and stay safe. ♥️🙏🏽🌎
Nice production.
A beautiful trip that was!
Thanks for keeping the videos coming! 👍🏼👏🏽
Beautiful!!
That is some amazing country. Thanks for look, Alex!
Happy you enjoyed your trip up here👌 we locals take it for granted sometimes
I’ve flown on that same plane when I was younger back in 2016. My first plane ride was a 737. Two days later I got to go on that same tour you did and the pilot even let me take controls for a while. I highly recommended taking the float plane tour!
Fantastic Footage Alex! Really enjoyable to watch as you fly around in the seaplane! Liked
All parts of Canada are astonishing. Some are more astonishing than others.
I've been to Whitehorse and Dawson on Air North. Some day I'll fly my own plane there.
great video
I have been waiting for this video for a while! It did not disappoint... great video as always Alex
I would love to do that!! Great video Alex!
Many Thanks Alex hope we can see few more like this is Awaresome
I loved it! Keep it up!
Awesome stuff! Looks like a lot of fun.
Excellent, something unique
That was an amazing flight, nicely done!
You have to fly with Kenmore Air :) Great Video tho 👍🏼
I live in Whitehorse, but I have never been on one of those tours. I've been to Alligator lake, but we were using ATVs, and it took a few hours. Thank you for the view.
What a cool video, thanks for sharing 😎
Nice video, liked!
What an amazing video man! Liked!
Definitely an interesting experience! Reminds me of when I first flew in a seaplane in Alaska. Those things stop mighty quick in water!
I was in whitehorse a few summers ago and flew in that exact plane from alpine. C-FGSI. Really cool experience!
Wouahhh...very very nice flight ! Thank you ! ;-)
The film was an atmospherically great introduction to our board game evening. We play Yukon Airways 😀
Phenomenal.
Great video, if you have an opportunity, the De Hallivand Beaver with Seair from south YVR to the southern gulf islands is also quite a low altitude adventure.
Awesome video mate... I love watching a plane landing on water I would love to do a flight like this... keep up the great work 😃👍🏻
Very nice video!
I would watch the full 45 min flight video for sure
You should try floatplane trips on BC Coast; even if only Between Campbell River Vancouver; or Nanaimo; or Victoria etc. :)
Very enjoyable Alex. We had to go down to Seattle to get a sea plane. The wife & I managed a Seaplane ride few years back. Was the Smoothest take off & landing we ever had. How was your take off landing experience?
Hey Alex, how much does this tour cost? I found Alpine Aviation's website, but doesn't have any quote on there either
Cool
Out of interest, how much was that?
This video reminded my of a trip I made to the Yukon in the late 1980s. I flew to Whitehorse, met up with a friend, and we drove up the Dempster Highway as far as we could in mid-June. Beautiful country.
nice video but I hate it to see shots with the propeller getting distorted and not turning properly. It depends on the camera though.
Yes nice video. Regarding that prop distortion...it's known as a "rolling shutter" and can be fixed by using a "prop filter" which basically slows down the cameras shutter speed and gives the prop a more normal look. When we fly, we often use 4 GoPros, 2 of which are equipped with prop filters. Easy to notice the difference. Need to buy some more.
It’s still in the city limits and the access is not built up

Stunning video, the sights in western and northern Canada are beautiful.
