    I love this thank you I need to go shopping for some tools they look perfect! I've recently moved from my very neat, know what and where everything is garden, to an overgrown full of perennials mature garden and I have been struggling to identify the pesky weeds as everything begins to pop up here they all look so similar and when you've not done the planting it's difficult to know what the heck is a weed or not ! Maybe you could do a vid on weed identification ! those tools of yours will really help me dig down, great vid and I am definitely going to make that weed tea too thanks so much, your garden is looking lovely and your hedge has really grown !

    • @Gardenninja

      Not yet! To be honest. Weeding a large area is nearly always better done with a large strimmer taking off the top layer of soil too and then repeat attempts at removal using hoes and forks don’t use a rotovator though as you’ll just spread them around. Patience will be rewarded though!! 🥷🌿👌

The weeds that infuriate me are the thick blades of grass that grow in the middle of my plants for instance through my pulmonaris. Hi Lee. love your show. I'm gardening in zone 4b in the state of Montana in the US. I moved into a home at the top of cliffs near a forest and have beautiful lawns and views and a not-so-beautiful enclosed garden that is infested with quack grass and bind weed. The bind weed seems like something I can remove organically by continually cutting it off at ground level until the roots die. The quack grass is a more significant problem. It spreads by underground rhizomes. Removing a clump with a hori hori will just break off the rhizome and cause more weeds to grow. (BTW, I purchased a hori hori after seeing you recommend it in another of your programs. I love it.) Do you have any suggestions?

    Hi Lee. I don't suppose you have any useful tips on how to get rid of foxes coming into our garden & front driveway? We have a house next-door to us where they live (as the house is not lived in for many years & is over grown etc.) Foxes have started digging under our fence and entering our garden / I've also seen them on our front door bell cam each morning sniffing around. I've done some research and looks like an ultrasonic/light sensor seems to be a good tool (as well as other repellents etc). Just wondered if you could recommend a brand that is decent? Thanks!

    • @Gardenninja
      @Gardenninja  3 года назад +1

      Hi Daniel. Sorry to hear foxes are causing you bother. Are they doing any harm in the garden or just entering without permission? They are a vital part of ecology so it’s actually a beautiful thing if you have a den nearby. They reduce the number of other pesky garden problems too! I tend to work with nature if it’s not causing too much drama so can’t recommend anything for it other than a stronger /deeper mesh fence. Hope that’s of something use. Happy gardening. Lee 🥷🌿
