Great video, seeing this prior to getting my Music Easel saved a lot of headache 🤕 and allowed me to get more variation out of the Sequential Voltage Source. Thank you for taking the time to highlight this for others like me.
Ha! I only have the Arturia V Collection with the Buchla Easel in it. I've only messed with it a little bit and really not knowing what the hell I am doing I did come across the switches and them not changing anything. This really explains how they work so thank you very much. Eventually I want to get an Easel but that's going to be awhile. A friend of mine who has a channel on YT (Genshi Media Group) just received his Easel a couple weeks back and has given me the hankering of getting one.
Ok back up to date. I did finally pick up the 208C probably a couple years back now. Honestly, I haven't spent much time to it earlier until recently. Yes I was confused about those Pulse Sequencer switches because yes they were not changing anything with them in either direction. Well I finally did a YT search and the first video I picked on was this one forgetting I already watched this 5 years ago. So revisiting this video taught me something that I learned before but didn't have the 208C to remember what I learned. Thank you for the explanation.
can the internal Easel Sequencer also be used to send its sequence voltages to other Buchla Modules next to it? Or is it only meant to trigger the internal Oscillator of the easel?
Yes you can send the sequence CV outside of the Music Easel. Make sure to patch a banana cable from the ground jack of the Music Easel (Black banana jack near the power jack) to the ground jack on the case of the Buchla modular system (or whatever you are using). Then simply patch one of the sequencers outputs to the oscillator you want it to control. Hopefully I worded that in a way that isn’t confusing.

Excellent! I only have the Arturia emulation so I don't get those chic clickety-clicks but the rest clears a lot!
I like the Arturia collection. I realize how bad some of these old synths were. Never design anything while on LSD. lol
@@DBCisco Woo! You saw the same news program as I did about the 45-year-old LSD found inside a Buchla synth that the guy got on his finger.
Thanks for this, I thought that something was wrong with my new easel ;)
So glad this was able to help you. You are not alone! The Easel is a cryptic but beautiful instrument!

👍

Can get an add on card
Wow thx. I’m using the plugin and didn’t get this either haha
Why would this synthesizer have a design like it was released yesterday? 😅
Great!
Bananas 👍
1 persons doesn't own a Buchla.
Super video! thank you!
You're welcome. Glad it was helpful!
