    This is a really detailed, beautifully filmed guide. That helps me a lot. Thank you very much for that. Greetings from Switzerland

    Excellent video. This video seems to have more professional production (than some newer "homemade" videos"), which helps me see some of the adjustment points better.

    Thank you. I have a Silver Reed LK150. No repair services near me. Now, thanks to you, I am up and running (uh, knitting).

    Thanks for this video, Sam. I have a 40 year old Empisal (I’ve heard they are also sold as Brother?) and am about to give it a total clean up after being in storage for a couple of decades. This video is most helpful. I really enjoy your posts. Are you on any other social media? Greetings from Australia.

      Hi Renee - you're welcome! I felts its important to share what resources I can find. POssibly yes, Empisal and Brother are linked. Regardless, many of the same challenges around maintenance will apply - spongerbars, grease, fluff, needles. I hope to hear about your own projects! im on twitter and instagram as @videosmithery

    Thanks for excellent video, sadly for me something is not quite right when you get to the Brother ribber, there seem to be some flashing images which means that I can't see all that clearly where the various nuts/ screw are. I have tried watching on my IPad and on my PC and getthe same thing on both...it's just on the Brother ribber bit.Can it be fixed?

      @videosmithery  3 года назад

      ah ok - yeah iots around 34 / 35 mins - im afraid there isnt anything I can do - that's a tracking error during the transfer from the original tape, which I no longer have :(

      I'm sorry pat I am a bit of a ribber novice - I recommend reaching out to the Machine Knitters Guild or lokoing for a video specically about using ribbers

    My SRP-50 is very hard to move from right to left, I have tried to adjust it but still no better. Do you have any suggestions please? I should add that it is definitely the ribber and not the main bed that is the problem, and only happend when wool is being used. Tension checked etc.

      hmm - not sure - I have little experience with ribbers. If you're in the uk, I can suggest someone who could fix it?
