You probably have a harder time starting it because your using only 16% nitro I use 20% and most others even use a higher percentage but I find 20% to be good. I try to never let my engine get over 230 degrees, when taking temps I always point the gun down into the head at the glow plug, also for the brakes when off throttle and when your engines running the brakes should be adjusted to be barely on enough when off throttle idling so the car wont be rolling hardy at all, if you leave brakes off the car will be rolling fast all the tame and it will be hard to drive also. You should get it running nicely with a bit of tuning..just take out the glow plug and take a look at it because sometimes the coil can get bent out of shape and stuff from break in and be bad. Have fun!
It has not been too bad starting and in the next part the glow plug fails. I'm trying 16% for now but might go over to 20% if It runs bad. So far running well on it and plenty of power. I will do what you say with the temp gun, to keep the engine safe. I still have to sort out the brakes and the idle screw. But I have little knowledge but will keep at it this time. It has still been better then the last one I had , That was terrible car. I will have more fun if we can get some stable weather been bad for over 3 weeks.
This was the cheapest one I could buy and it's not bad. The reviews were good and the engine is used in a lot of different cars but seems to run well. Just need a nice day to finish the running in, today there is the second part of the run in but it had been 3 weeks of bad weather since I last ran it.
I have 3 nitro. I find all three engines different to start, therefore i think you have to know your car. My Kyosho literally has a good 40 pulls to prime it, were as my old Thunder Tiger only needs about half a dozen. Bizzare
I watch a video where the guy said they can make 100s of the same nitro engine and all will be different. This one has not been to hard to start, your Kyosho sounds a pain.
When i first got the kyosho, it was my first nitro, and it drove me nuts lol I had no knowledge of nitro and it took me ages to sus it out lol I had the hair dryer on it and everything ha

Been a long time since I've played around with a Nitro! That's a good looking rig you have there Mal! Makes me want to try it out again 😂! 👍😎👍

great video and cool rc,it took me awhile to learn the tuning stuff of nitro,it takes practice and patience, love nitro
There is so much to learn, so far gone ok.
It's alive.!! Super cool video. Love the break in process. Sounds pretty darn good too.! 😊🏎🏆
It's nice, it makes a sound for a change or is it making music 🙂
Wow! In the 1st second of seeing this, i bought it! Very surprised at how good it looks
Good work Malcom my experience has been lots of pulling with a little bit of running 😅looking forward to the full speed run
I can say there has been pulling but not too much. This is a cheapest Nitro in the UK and the engine and carb better than the last one I had.
Sounded very lean on first tank, second had more of a burble, should see more smoke.
It was run at factory settings, not much smoke but lots of fuel was in the exhaust afterwards.
I’ve gotta get my hpi savage running.
That would be cool 🙂
