Secret Invasion actually explained this as Fury had severe PTSD and was hiding out, while everybody else got caught up in their own issues for a phase.

Had a theory that instead of wing, asking Sam to be part of this avengers initiative. It’s more him, asking Sam for help him to find individuals who are willing to get on the front lines of the battle when things get bad to avoid another thanos situation because I wouldn’t be surprised if Wong is afraid that there aren’t enough people who are willing to fight at this point, there are some but not a lot. I know Spider-Man would be individual. He would ask but now he might say no and depending on where he is in Spider-Man4 will eventually end up saying yes, but Spider-Man could be a no people of Wakanda might not wanna fight at this point so due to the loss of there king so long’s appearance in Captain America could be him asking for assistance of finding individuals who can fight because he believes something is coming, but on a larger scale than just a snap of their entire unit worse

In a completely unrelated story; thanks to Jonathan Majors’ cock-up, they’ll have to find a *NEW* bad guy for Avengers 5. I also thought Namor the Sub-Mariner was going to play a big role in future movies? Didn’t they set that up at the end of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever? What the fuck are they going to do now that Tenoch Huerta’s facing rape accusations?
