    Good to win the game against a in form team. Chiesa, wow, what a cameo, Harvey too. Wataru, unsung hero, so underrated, so reliable, great personality and player. Some sloppiness in the final third but we also made a lot of changes in the team. Had, Salah not scored, it would have been another underwhelming performance to say the least. He scored. However, he needs to be a bit better in the other parts of the game as well and some of his attempts at passes and some simple things appeared difficult for him again. Great that he scored but I want to see him at his best at the other parts of his game as well. Overall, good performance and we got to rest a few players as well and we secured top 8. Good call about Endo again David. I think he's really growing into a better player under Slott. Nice and solid and tenacious but also going forward trying to see a creative pass. Jerrell had a good game too, more experience in the Champions League is no bad thing. Should play again against PSV. My man Frederico is just starting to show why he is a great player. The signing of and the fitness programme that he's been on could be seen by the end of the season as master strokes. Up the mighty Reds.

    Lille were top 8 prior to tonight and thought they played and defended well. Think the Anfield crowd underestimated them a bit so the atmosphere took a while to kick in. They play Feyenoord last game. The 'mid table of the CL is so congested that goal difference will be vital for a lot of teams on the same points in determining which part of the draw they fall into after the play off stage. 1st or 2nd we will play one of the 4 teams that finish 15-18 which right now could be anyone with high risk of City or Real but we avoid Atlético and Barca. In summary we did enough to get the job done... again.

    Virg and our academy players (Bradley, Quansah, Jones and Elliott) were our best, along with Endo, Tsimikas, Nunez and Chiesa. Our poorest players were Mo (esp before his goal - he was very poor in the first 30 mins) and Diaz - who tried, but just seemed out of touch.
    Anyway, main thing is we are in top 2 so we can now rest all of our first teamers next week, plus give valuable mins to likes of Morton, Nyoni, Danns and McConnell as well as Chiesa, Endo and Elliott.

    In my view Liverpool fans are now being disrespected !
    The issue of the future of Mo, Virg & Trent at Liverpool
    has been kept hidden to a point at which supporters
    are now being disrespected by this drawn out secrecy?
    LFC is now a multi billion dollar business in a global,
    multi billion dollar sport. Being 3 of THE most unique
    players in the game, flags their incredible importance
    to this club and its supporters. As businessmen of
    this calibre & financial worth, one would have expected
    the club to sort this issue out much, much sooner given
    that the issue has not been any kind of unexpected or
    surprise dilemma?
    And, I'm not only pointing the finger at the owners or
    management, the players themselves must take a
    large degree of responsibility for prolonging this
    seemingly because of their specific demands?
    Everyone obviously needs to get the best they can as
    a natural part of such a situation, but in 2025 and the
    merciless hardships faced by millions of British people
    these days, there comes a point at which sportsmen
    earning tens of millions each year while the nation's
    people face ever increasing hardships, should perhaps
    consider it respectful to lower their demands a little
    in order to sort it all out asap ?

    We were brilliant and looked VERY self-assured throughout. I love the way we always seem to play a slightly different kind of approach with every opponent. It must be so hard for the opposition manager to work out because there's always something that's been tweaked!

And, it all culminated in all those misses against Madrid in the UCL Final. Salah usually goes off the boil in the second-half of the season. It has happened more than once.

    We rarely ever play to Nunez strengths. He got few opportunities today, if we actually start playing to his strengths like benfica did, you will see a different player

    • @smaugballer7337
      @smaugballer7337 11 дней назад +4

      The team doesn't have to play to fit a player's style. If Nunez can't adapt his game to fit into the manager's system, then the bench is where he belongs.

    • @SocratesDissatisfied
      @SocratesDissatisfied 11 дней назад +1

      @smaugballer7337 if you pay that much for a player and then don't play to his strengths than that's on you. If a player is good enough the team adapts to them. E.g. Lewandowski, Messi, Ronaldo... Am I comparing him to them, no, but why sign him at that price point to change him?

      Unfortunately his footy IQ is very low. For the Chiesa shot /rebound, to be standing that far offside, shows he has zero situational awareness. His other chance he can chip the keeper but again opts to hit it at the keeper. He's not at the level required to be a reliable LfC striker.

    Good result, but Mo should have been taken off after he scored, to rest. Ryan needs a break too, they will burn out, you can see it, rotate. Endo our unsung hero was good, needs to play more. Mr Slot start rotating, you know it makes sense. Anyway thanks David, onwards and upwards

    Sorry lynche, Salah has been shite in recent games. What I don't like most is he's not running back defending. Today we had conor who will do the work. But usually we have Trent and Salah simply doesn't do the work on the right flank.

    • @SkywalkerXxX
      @SkywalkerXxX 10 дней назад

      What's worse is he needs more chances than anyone else to score a goal. How many chances did he miss today?

  • @grundyardmusic9610

    A very different scoreline (as is often the case) if Salah just taps it sideways to a colleague instead of trying to curl it round 3 defenders. You hear about his humility, but there is far too much ego there. So tiresome.
