Would you consider installing one by a spring head. It’s a weak spring (mainly wet ground but not enough to really drink from) but thought that would be a way of keeping a water supply.
Wish they had more distributors! I've tried to buy their stuff multiple times and can't find a listed distributor anywhere near me that actually carries them.
@theuntamedambition I'm in Orlando, but my Farm is just outside of Columbus, GA. There was an Ace hardware in Jacksonville listed on their website, but I've called them three times and nobody even knows what they are, much less stock them!
Water isn't the problem with EHD, it is the mud. So this holds water without mud and is a far better option than an earthen pond that always has a component of mud around it.
If installed in the shade, on a slope to catch run off, and you get normal rainfall, they stay full without a problem. It has to be a long dry stretch to empty them.
Yes, a brown kitty pool with tapered sides, made from a durable fiberglass and coated with dirt to add texture. If you want to order some for your kids to play in, let me know.
Great tips. Im gona be installing a water hole here hopefully soon
Yes! More of this type of content, please!
Good stuff Thomas!
I'm in Phoenix and I have a rain catch for growing but I may incorporate a watering hole just to attract more wildlife to the area.
I have one of these in my backyard, and love watching everything enjoy it! Even the small birds taking their baths in it!

Yes, that would work well!

Agreed. Where are you located? I have a few clients around the country looking for these, so I might be able to land one near you.

I use old rubber roofing. Holds up forever, throw some rocks around the edge. Stays fairly clean.
Wouldn't this also be a pool that could possibly lead to the spread of more ehd since we're now concentrating deer to one tiny water hole to share...

10" or 13" they would dry up fast in my area ??

I am so tired of the hunting industry stealing money from hard-working hunters. That's a brown kiddy pool.
