I had a 2023 Challenger Swinger Edition and had the driveshaft blow out on me at 1200 miles. When I took it to Dodge for repairs, they wanted me to pay out of pocket for it. Apparently, when the dealership sent the defective part back to Dodge, the driveshaft was off a 2013 Challenger. The service manager accused me of replacing the part on my brand new special edition Challenger with one off a 2013 Challenger. In the end, Dodge paid for the repairs, and the service manager apologized and stated it was a manufacturer defect. I sold the car to Carmax at 2500 miles because i just had a feeling there was more to come.

Thankfully I still had the original manufacturers warranty on it, so not only did I not have to pay out of pocket for the repair, in my state law it also makes it eligible for a lemon law claim. so yeah I'm done with Mopar 😢

Wild animal poo is known as scat, and it can be very useful in working out what species are nearby because each type of scat is different. Of course, some scat will begin to dry out and look different with age, so if you really know your business, you'll be able to tell how long ago the animal was there.
Damn man that sucks. I did a Florida Lemon Law on my 2021 Pacifica and Chrysler was awesome with the buy back. They even gave me an employee discount code for my next car.
I bought a brand new charger rt … and 25,000 miles at 50 mph it would start shaking itself loose, they replaced the whole front end , transmission, drive shaft, rear end and still couldn’t fix it. Tech told me that they thought the robot drilled to holes in the wrong spot, Dodge would not make it right, had it in the shop for months, making payments, fighting with Chrysler back in forth, eventually they took it on trade in on a Ford , never will own another Dodge , Chrysler or Jeep
The dealership doesn't make the cars, but they are the single point of interaction with the customer. A dealership has the ability to do things Dodge doesn't. Dodge essentially leases the cars to the dealership, and the dealership sells the cars to the customer. Once that car leaves the lot, it belongs to the customer and the bank. Dodge doesn't want to have to interact with a bank, especially not now. The bank doesn't want to have to unwind the sale contract for one VIN and then write up a new contract (on different terms) for a new VIN. It is completely likely that the purchase price and the current price and interest rates are different. I have seen so many cases where a dealership screwed up royally and made a car unsellable, and unregistrable because the legal description of the car(the VIN) didn't accurately match the contract.
Think about it. If you work in a bigger company(even small) there’s always those employees who do the bare minimum and at a bad quality. These employees don’t care about their actions affecting the next person. Happens in every industry and pretty sure it’s happening in the car plants. Im a union worker and one thing I highly dislike is how much bad employees get away with stuff because the union defends them bad or good.
Stellantis didn't buy them up they merged with Peugeot. Considering it was called FCA (Fiat Chrysler Association) Peugeot decided they wanted a different name for the merger and they came up with Stellantis.
@dalebowman3666 Idk I heard it was because the frenchies were big on EV so it was a cheaper way of getting into the Market as there is no need on research and development but idk if that's true but it does make sense. 🤷🏻♂️.
@dalebowman3666 it wouldn't surprise me if we see some Peugeot modified chassis or rebadged Jeeps in like 5 years or so. They likely wanna try to hit the US market again
I was playing the waiting game for Dodge dealerships (CDJR) to start lowering their prices on their vehicles, particularly the Dodge Hellcat Chargers. Just when they start coming down, I hear about the news that Dodge is completely coming unglued (no pun intended). I think that I will keep my money and wait for the 2026 Shelby GT500.
My 2023 Swinger Challenger has driver side window issues makes a snapping noise when I put it up...problem is it never does it when it's at the dealership now leaving scratch marks on the window but they won't fix it till they hear the window noise
Thanks for your spirit and supporting the average buyers of these great cars. Dodge should not of ever been sold to Stellantis, as they do not know their customer base. Prime example is when the Australians were put in charge of the Pontiac GTO few few years ago, they messed that whole product line up by making the GTO something that the american public was not interested in at all. Then the debacle with the Chevrolet Malibu SS where it was the same story, I'm not even sure truly what happened. American cars made american union workers please!! All 4 of my 1969 Chevelle SS were made in America in different cities and there were no issues when these cars came out in the Chevrolet showrooms back in a day.
Back in 1976 I built a 69 Charge R/T 440 to 625 hp ,ran 10's and got 25 mpg,s on the highway . Then in 1979 I built a 1970 Challenger with a 318 with a two barrel that got 35 mpg on the highway with the AC going on a trip from Mass,to Florida and back with wife and childs, this car was becoming a Camaro killer and some mustangs to, and a crx, and this guy was surprised when I told him it was a 318 2 barrel. So whats with all this green crap??????
We had a huge problem like this with Dodge. I would love for you to reach out. I have a story where we bought a hellcat redeye in December. It went to the dealership January 11 for engine failure and then somebody broke into the dealership and caused arson and the Dodge dealership just wanted to clean our car without our knowledge.
Crazy part is this isn’t a new problem my 2020 hellcat had an engine knocking noise off and on for 2k miles and no one ever figured out what it was . I love the car but I’m torn on keeping it long term it almost makes me want to go get a gt500 to replace it
If the dealership did what they should have from the beginning (Just replace the car with another new one), there would have been no negative press. There might have actually been some positive press! I don't get how these big companies continue to survive with such bad customer service and poor quality control!
I wonder if down the road the FCA cars are going to end up being more reliable than the Stelantis builds. I own a 2014 Challenger Shaker R/T and a 2016 Hellcat and no problems with either.
I have lemon law out here in NY and I have the best lawyer. Ford tried playing me with a defective mustang. She got me out of the car no questions asked and a 10k check for wasting my time.
I had to fight on the phone for 2 months with Ram “customer service “ to get them to pay for my hood to be re-aligned and for glue residue to be removed from tail lights. It was a nightmare after I paid 100k for my TRX.
Go to the back of your Manual. There is a number to call to file a grievance against dodge and am arbitrator gets assigned to your case and their decision is legally binding. The minute I opened a case they were notified and fixed the issues within 24hrs. It was hilarious. They just want you to go away. I forget what its called. But it was a super easy process and they were great. Lady called me that day, said they're.moving forward with it and dodge sent me a NDA a day later and the money for the repairs. Which were two little spots in the rear fenders missing clear coat and bubbling of clear coat. Dodge canada denied my claim saying it was from my "performance tires" lmao.
Tempe Dodge... that's where my scat pack came from. My car had the hemi tick problem. It's a daily driver and these cars are not made for stop and go rush hour traffic. That compounded with the f'd up MDS caused the hemi tick. I will give this dealership credit for rebuilding the motor under warranty. I removed the MDS, period. But later when I had an alternator problem it was a different story. They replaced the alternator twice and I give credit for doing that. Even now on a cold start the car sounds like a broken jet engine. After it warms up the sound goes away and it doesn't effect the performance. They couldn't explain it and then blamed me for the weird sound. At that point I walked away.
This is a Lemon Law case, stop talking to dodge get a lawyer, the manufacturer does not care about the buyer period! A letter from a law firm gets their attention very quickly. When the dodge legal gets involved and all the recorded calls and paper work is checked it will be resolved in the customers favor, especially when a report is sent to the NSTB, plus all the bad press from the web since tv stations hate to lose ad dollars.
Sometimes what happens is that when the cars are being built since all of them are brand new once they come into temperature change a lot of these panels have a tendency to expand depending on weather the issue that I'm having with my 23 Challenger RT is at my front suspension bottoms out every time I hit a small pot hole or even crossing through railroad tracks has anybody had this issue ?? I don't think this is a normal thing especially for a brand new car and on stock suspension my 23 Challenger RT came with Bill stained shocks. 🤷
Doesn't make sense, if the shop says it is repaired correctly why wouldn't they report it to carfax as repaired correctly? Sounds like the guy is just trying to get out of paying for the car.
I feel really bad for the owner. What an ordeal! Dodge wants to have the car repaired because they don't want to be liable if it crashes and injures / kills someone in the future / the story gets exposed / Dodge gets sued for 10's o' millions $$$...
I'll never buy Mopar again...I just bought a 24 Ram...And after my issues when I first bought it and all the other issues I've been hearing...Game Over Stellansis
Lemon Law should help… under warranty and a defect that effects value/use of the vehicle… may need an attorney to advise, lemon law usually requires repair attempts (depending on state). I have no idea why Dodge wouldn’t buy it back because it’s a liability to the manufacturer. Don’t even deal with the dealer, just the manufacturer
There's no way I would have that car after having it cut apart.... it's devalued big time if this happens and won't ever be like new....WITH THAT BEING SAID THOUGH, there is no structural or panel bonded panels in these cars. It's all spot welded... what is missing is some sound deadening materials... it's like spray foam. They purposely deleted all sound deadening material on the demon 170 to save weight. I build these cars back from wrecks, been very deep into these cars. And yes the sound deadening material missing in key areas can allow some metal to rub slightly as some places the panels are very close to inner structure. Demon 170s actually talk about this increase in noise in owners manual. . this is not a structural problem... but may be if they cut the car up
I don’t think the PCM will allow hard driving within the first 500 miles. But what you’re saying is that hard driving will automatically cause oil cooler line leaks? Very interesting
@@kappy555 I'm highly intelligent but I'm not a Master Mechanic for all I know it could be a clamp or not installed properly and you're right about the CPU for sure but driving it hard for the first 500 miles could definitely cause problems I wouldn't even open the throttle up till he gets a like 1500 for real.... that's just me if I get a jailbreak I'm going to be real careful with it while I'm breaking it in I'm going to straight up drive it kind of slow for almost a year before I started doing burnouts

For it to be classified as a total loss the damage must exceed 70% of the value of the vehicle. Some states require 90%… either way this guy is getting screwed over. He may have a better chance with the Lemon law
I got a text from Dodge & situation will be taken care of.
Awesome you were able to help put pressure on them to do something!
It’s welding wire not glue bro
Just ridiculous, no problems thus far with my 23 Hellcat but it's the last Dodge/Jeep product i buy unless FCA gets sold and things change.

Dodge needs to man up and give him a new car....the car is defective from the factory....a manufacturer needs to stand behind their products!

Lawsuit inbound! Dodgw went to crap since Stellantis bought them up.
Stellantis didn't buy them up they merged with Peugeot. Considering it was called FCA (Fiat Chrysler Association) Peugeot decided they wanted a different name for the merger and they came up with Stellantis.
@@jacobearhart4170 thanks for the reply 👍
@@jacobearhart4170 Peugeot? Do you mean that French car manufacturer. Why in the world would you merge with Peugeot?
Good choice
My 2023 Swinger Challenger has driver side window issues makes a snapping noise when I put it up...problem is it never does it when it's at the dealership now leaving scratch marks on the window but they won't fix it till they hear the window noise
Newer cars are just glue and snap together plastic. It'll be difficult to restore and duplicate what the robots have done. Not like the older cars.
Doing GODs work. Thank you for doing this for people.
My dodge dealer is overflowing with every flavor of challengers and chargers every color it’s very tempting to buy one they look so good.
I had to fight on the phone for 2 months with Ram “customer service “ to get them to pay for my hood to be re-aligned and for glue residue to be removed from tail lights. It was a nightmare after I paid 100k for my TRX.
I've seen too many videos and heard too many stories about 2023 models having issues. I'll never touch a 2023 model.
They need to let the State and federal agencies responsible for oversight of cars i don't know if that'll be the Federal Trade Commission FTC or BBB
Unbelievable. However, not surprised.🧐 This is hard to listen to. Getting mad.
Cool 😎 !
There's no way. Ridiculous. 100% dealer buyback. Lemon law on time alone. Sue.
I’m ultra glad I didn’t go through with buying a Dodge Charger now. It really seems like this brand has major issues.
$30,000 dollars for that? Sounds kinda suspicious
Link to the video of the body?
If he went through insurance, it would be an instant total.
This sounds like a nightmare
Lawsuit is waiting I hope the person follows through.
Strong information 😂
I don't see how this would generate a Carfax report if they were to repair it inhouse.
I'll never buy Mopar again...I just bought a 24 Ram...And after my issues when I first bought it and all the other issues I've been hearing...Game Over Stellansis
Isn't there a state lemon law

Demon 170s actually talk about this increase in noise in owners manual. . this is not a structural problem... but may be if they cut the car up
pos carlos tavares Stellantis CEO had total compensation of $39.5M in 2023
I'm surprised Steve Lehto hasn't talked about this yet.
my 23 hellcat is leaking oil at the oil cooler line by the oil filter...only 400miles :(
Do you drive it hard because it has a break-in for the first 500 miles??? If so thats why.
And it's probably your radiator hose clamp take the clamp off clean all the crud off of it and then put it back on. Just a bad connection no big deal
He has to go to the media like 7 on your side to put Dodge on blast the public exposure would make them address this issue quick this is a life threatening issue
The carrier that shipped it could have damaged the car. They don't have to report it and have it fixed. Just a possibility.
CALL THE COPS
Sounds like dodge being dodge they also give alot of problems from what ive seen with fulfilling warranty and recall work
sounds like typical chrysler quality to me
I’m starting to really outgrow these cats and scats now, this is just a sad send off.
It would be nice if he puts out which car he got(number). That way people who bought similar numbered cars get theirs looked at. My local dealer has car #081 for sale.
I bet they at the plant knowing their jobs were ending most likely didn't get a damn... and threw a few together
How bruh only got 30 something thousand subs lol. Bro been cranking out views out the assseee
Dealers don’t have the ability to send a know vehicle back the the manufacturer. Needs to be purchased for a lemon to be a lemon. Think about THAT for a minute.
I am real Mopar guy..Chrysler Corporation, best built cars 60's and 70's!! My 440 still runs like new and runs low 12's in the 1/4 with a 3 speed auto and 2.45 1st gear and 3.23 rear axle! If it was a 8 speed I would run 11.00's
For it to be classified as a total loss the damage must exceed 70% of the value of the vehicle. Some states require 90%… either way this guy is getting screwed over. He may have a better chance with the Lemon law
Don’t you have 30 days to return your car if something goes wrong with it and you’re not satisfied I’m not sure just asking
No….
Sue them
