I bought a seal install tool kit on Amazon. My hands just didn't have the UMMPF to push the seal into place. Great video! I own a 323. It has a bigger ram.
I bought the special tool to replace that inner seal off of Ebay for less than twenty dollars. They come with three different sizes in the kit. Well worth the money to have on hand.
great video! thanks for sharing, my gland nut shoulder is too small to use a pipe wrench or channel locks. Do you know what/where you would buy the correct spanner wrench? I bought my seals from HW Parts, my local bobcat dealer does not sell the tools. thank you for your help.
I could not find the proper tools either. I did not look too hard mind you. That's why I bought the channel locks and large wrench. If you have a welder you might be able to modify something. I'm sure that a specialty tool supplier would be able to point the way. Sorry I can't be of more help.
@@fromthewoodsyyc no worries, I have the same channel locks you do, tried them today. No chance on budging it… I’m afraid to put heat on it and compromising the cylinder. Thanks for help. I’ll let you know how I make out. I wish bobcat would sell the correct tool for it.
Just a follow up after successful removal of the gland nut. I bought the spanner wrench which was worthless. However in an attempt to weld the wrench to the gland i think the heat created just enough space to loosen it a little. I also hit the seem between the gland and barrel with a hammer, slightly creating a little vibration movement... also used a punch to no avail. Ultimately, I think all the different methods helped, at the end the 2' pipe wrench with another 2' cheater bar on it i was able to get it loose. To brake the inside nut loose I used the same 2' pipe wrench and a 6' cheater pipe.... yup 6 FOOT!

Very informative video. I'm trying to get up the nerve to try this on my e50 bucket and arm cylinders.

I bought the proper spanner wrench off of Ebay. It works great! I have used it on all of my Bob Cat 325G cylinders.
