i'd just like to add that jungwoo has changed so much since his hiatus in 2019, he is so much more confident and it makes me so happy to see him relaxed and so sure of himself 💚
That's true. It's so nice to see him so self assured and confident. The dance clips shown here actually don't really show his ability. He's an amazing dancer but ppl sleep on this talent. Ppl tend to see him more of the comedian or sensitive member. That kinda bother me a lot. His vocals ability too, I feel, gets overlooked. But oh well, that's the downside of being in a group full of super talented people.
127 has such a tight bond. You can really see their love for each other in the way that they NEVER stop clowning each other. I can’t wait to watch you fall even harder while watching NCT World 2.0!
The reason you didn't know about Yuta is probably because he had so little lines, meaning so little screen time. SM needs to promote him more istg. His vocal and dance is no joke
I think it was a combination of that and I've only really known the members in 127 who are from Dream and WayV too! But I'm so glad I know them all a bit better now!~
Yuta loves to tease Doyoung. His relationship with Doyoung is so cute. I mean all 127 members are equally adorable. It's so hard to pick a bias. I love watching them in NCT life(all seasons).
I actually think he got enough part to show that he's part of the main vocalists. He's part of many NCT U main vocalist sub units (Without U, Timeless, Coming Home).. it's just that some people consider main vocalist = high notes. When Jaehyun strength is his beautiful low voice.
i agree! but i was talking about recent comebacks where we mostly really hear him clearly in the b-sides, so new fans don't get to know of his incredible vocal skills
For some reason, I feel like when it comes to vocalists like Taeil and Chen (EXO), they are often being overlooked even by their own fandoms. Many people only brag about them and notice them when they are doing those insane high notes. Meanwhile other aspects of their vocals, which arguably stand out even more (because we all know good vocal technique is not all about high notes), tend to go under the radar unfortunately Although things have gotten better for Chen when he started his solo career, so I hope when Taeil does go solo his talent will be truly appreciated
Oh awesome! I'm glad you've checked out all the units now! these boys are so talented and been through so much together, they deserve anything. I don't remember if you've done this already, but will you check out the "unhelpful guide to sungchan and shotaro" by cherryverse? I know you're starting NCT World2.0, so you'll meet them their, but the guide would be a nice introduction to them as well. I can't wait for all your future NCT reactions!
this reaction made my nctzen heart so happy ! you’re always a delight and i love seeing your journey into the nctzen life 🤠 i can’t even keep up with all of their contents despite them being my ult group hahah 🥲
Objectively, Taeil is the strongest vocalist in NCT; but he’s definitely overlooked until some of their fans need to use his vocals as a receipt, unfortunately. It also doesn’t help that SM shows favoritism and gives Doyoung more opportunities to flex his vocals outside of their group activities. Taeil is my bias, so it’s definitely disheartening to see him in the background more than he should be. He tends to get the most lines on their B-side tracks though, which I appreciate so much, especially since their B-sides are usually better than their title tracks.
I definitely agree with the favoritism over Doyoung but, (and don't get me wrong with this) i kinda get why is that. Doyoung is very very smart and whenever he's on variety shows he not only shines because of his wit and quick mind, but he also really knows how to play along and create his own screen time .... then there is Teil who is naturally quieter and seems to be even more shy on camera so for entertainment purposes which brings attention to the group is understandable. Like you said he does get the lines in 127, even in title tracks, but the favoritism for pushing Doyoung more when it comes to NCT U or projects outside the group i personally think is because sm wants to put the light on someone (showcasing his vocals) who can also attract new people and who is known by the public.
I get what you mean. Doyoung does get a lot of opportunities outside of group activities. I don't know how things work with some members who go on vlive while others rarely/not at all go on vlive or other platforms to show themselves. Doyoung does a lot of vlive and singing in it. But I don't see Taeil doing the initiative to get himself out there, is there are reason why? Or is this also SM managing who gets to do vlive or other platforms? Taeil did do that one cover song, but we didn't get more after that. @jesus rivera But as to Doyoung getting NCT U songs, I feel like it depends on the vibe of the song. Like, I feel like Doyoung's voice really suited Yestoday's R&B and Light Bulb R&B vibes, while Taeil's voice really suited My Everything. Doyoung did do a cover of My Everything but I think his voice is too airy for the song. That's just my opinion.
Honestly, I think opportunity wise when it comes to music, Doyoung doesn't get much more than Taeil. They both have gotten opportunities outside of NCT to flex their vocals (granted, neither gets enough tbh). Taeil still gets the big parts in NCT 127 music, it's usually him doing the high notes at the bridge and he does get the most vocal lines majority of the time. The only major difference between the Two is Doyoung has done acting lately so he has a drama and musical under his belt. But I do agree with you on Taeil being overlooked and why there's favoritism towards Doyoung and I think the reasoning behind that is their personalities. When they're doing interviews, are on variety shows, or doing livestreams, Doyoung often takes initiative and does a lot of talking. He likes to play MC and is very witty in his remarks so he play off of the other members well. Plus he's competitive when it comes to games, so he's often loud and give good reactions, he makes for an interesting and entertaining character to watch. Taeil on the other hand is very mild mannered and is a very go with the flow type of person. He's tends to stay quiet in the background and often doesn't go out of the way to talk unless he's spoken to. That's not a flaw with his character, it's just how he is, he's great and I love him (He's my bias too). But when it comes to variety and entertainment, Doyoung definitely stands out more and I can see why more people are drawn to him. But there's no arguing that Taeil is the strongest vocalist in NCT and one of the best in the industry and I think even people who don't bias him acknowledge is vocal strengths.
My bias has always been Yuta, but Taeil is definitely my bias wrecker and he's the one I want everyone else to bias b/c I feel like he doesn't get enough love.
Oh my gosh yayyy, your timing is perfect I'm so glad you're doing more NCT 😭❤️ you're going to love it, they're such talented crackheads - it's insane 😂😂✨
I think what the videomaker means by Taeil's vocals being underappreciated is with most NCT127 title songs being so rap-heavy, vocalists barely get any moments to shine until the bridge.
i would like to add idk if you know this already but when taeyong first started out as a trainee he didn't know anything about dance and now he's the main dancer :)
@@LKTVLKTV Glad to hear, I’m looking forward to it! Like I said, I’m just happy to see you back and healthy! Health is always the most important thing 😊
Personally, I'd say don't pay attention to any of the "main" or "lead" positions because they've caused so much debate and arguments within the fandom that it's ridiculous. A lot of the idol positions listed on sites like KProfiles and NCT's wikipedia are fan appointed/assumed and not always accurate. This is because companies may assign a position to idols at debut but it doesn't get updated at all, so over time, fans start upgrading particular members' positions and suddenly you have like 5 people who are "main" vocal/rapper in a group. This is especially the case with a group like NCT since the lineup is different per unit so their positions technically change. I'd say the member's position who's most often up for debate is Jaehyun and Renjun in NCT. Both I believe debuted as Lead Vocals but fans have been arguing that they are Main Vocals. Both definitely have the capabilities to handle Main vocal roles and have done parts of music that's definitely what a Main vocal has done but I don't think either was ever actually assigned the Main Vocal role by the company (though again, I do think they're both perfectly capable as Main vocals). Anyways, personally, I think we should just do away with the whole main/lead positions because at the end of the day, a lot of members are capable of pulling off those roles and it just leads to unnecessary arguments amongst fans.
Last year during kick it, a magazine was launched, I don’t know the name, which updated all 127 positions, Jaehyun is officially a Main Vocalist updated by SM itself, it’s not the fans who invented it… Haechan, in this magazine, he is still listed as Lead vocalist, but everyone assumes he is a main vacalist, even though he never debuted as one.

jaehyun actually is a main vocalist he just doesn't get the parts that adequately showcase his vocals:(
I could deeeefinitely see all of them being main vocals if I’m being totally honest 😭
