    Thank you so much!!! My gun was pulsing. I haven’t tried yet but I am praying that this will resolve the issue!! Goddamn urethane paint so expensive! I was praying there was an online video so that I didn’t have to spend hours and hours trying to figure it out on my own!

      Plug in an air cap use a small pick and dislodge it if that doesn't fix it may need a new air cap

    My gun requires not to exceed 50 psi. I have my compressor set anywhere from 30 - 50 and I get nowhere the same air pressure that you are getting out of your gun. Could possibly my gauge be off?

    • @blaiketillman3691
      @blaiketillman3691 Год назад

      Did you buy a new gauge or borrow one to see if yours might be inaccurate?

    • @Dragonclaw103
      @Dragonclaw103 Год назад +1

      @@blaiketillman3691 I went back and looked up my model instructions. Where it said not to exceed 50psi.. it was referring to working pressure, as in the pressure reading as the gun is spraying, and not sitting pressure, or not spraying.. I made that adjustment and it is spraying well now.

    Do you have a fix for air coming out of the gun with out squeezing the trigger? And once the trigger is squeezed it stops the air flow??

    I have a lvlp gun that has a stream of paint when I take my finger off the trigger. If I tighten the screw at the nozzle all the way right it doesn’t drip but I get a very small spray pattern.

      Most likely your fluid needle return spring is worn or your nozzle, needle are worn (more likely that the fluid needle return spring is worn though)
      Thanks

    What about when you have dead spots/no paint within a wide fan pattern ?

  • @masterofpc11
    @masterofpc11 3 месяца назад

    I've had a really really annoying weird problem, where the paint would come out in big blobs instead of a nice mist like expected. I've tried everything - air pressure lower/higher, fan adjustment tighter/bigger, adding thinner etc. but nothing would solve it. In the end, the small holes in the air cap on either side of the nozzle were plugged with old paint. After soaking in thinner and blowing out with 6 bars of compressed air, it works like a charm again. This wasn't mentioned in any of the troubleshooting videos, probably because it's so easy? So I'm leaving this here for others who might have the same problem...
    TL;DR when the gun doesn't work like it's supposed to, first thing is to really really clean it well including all the small holes.

    Thank you for sharing valuable information.
    I have a SATA 5500, used to make spray outs only at the moment ( not a painter yet, still in training).
    Since yesterday, it started something strange : with the trigger half way on, jut to blow air to dry the card, the air is going in to the paint cup ( 3M single use ), literally inflating the cup like a balloon.
    What can it be the cause of this issue?

  • @VladanLukovic011

    Great video, thank you. Still I have strange problem not covered here: My Sagola paint gun worked well until one day just started to blow air into paint dish instead suckin it. Can anyone advise please? (Detail cleaning with dissasembling and assembling was already done). I can't figure out what is wrong.

    • @VladanLukovic011
      @VladanLukovic011 3 года назад

      @@abrahamjimenez1379 Not really. I'm pretty sure that it is sealing issue, but I didn't found spare parts for this old model here in Serbia.
      Try to replace sealings if you can find them to buy.
      At the end i bought Italco HD2 advance and it works like charm.

    Why is mine building up paint at the tip of the gun? Is it too much air? Is the fan too wide? I can’t ever get a good spray with these guns. Are you not supposed to use oil based paint with these? Everything I paint looks bad bc I can’t get a good spray. This video was helpful in other cases, but not with what I need. If my question could be answered that would be great

    The hvlp gun I have that looks like this one wasn’t picking up enough paint but the vent tube was plugged and I realized something was wrong cause you unhook air hose and gun still has pressure enough to squirt out paint . Vent pipe at the 90 elbows was plugged I cleaned them will try again tomorrow

    What is the problem when the gun does not pickup any paint or thinner in cup??

    • @PittsburghSprayEquipmentCo
      @PittsburghSprayEquipmentCo  6 лет назад +1

      Hi Andrew with a siphon feed (cup on bottom) this is usually due to your fluid nozzle not being tight enough, or it could be an air cap that doesn't siphon (pressure feed caps will not siphon)

    What about from the paint tube in the bottom that feeds the paint is not spraying all the way barely getting paint out of it and it's a bottom feed paint gun not an expensive one

    • @PittsburghSprayEquipmentCo
      @PittsburghSprayEquipmentCo  4 года назад

      If its a siphon feed and not siphoning then it's a air cap issue maybe its not tight enough maybe its not a good enough air cap for the paint to siphon these would be the most common reason
