These rambles are amazing, you could totally make a podcast where you deep dive or maybe videos you prefer. The way you can connect the language with the culture using examples is super interesting. Future topic idea on kotodama perhaps. All the best!
言霊! yeah, kotodama might be an interesting topic to touch on, especially with the idea of manifestation making a come back in modern times. Thank you for the comment!
Thanks for stopping by! Good to hear from you man! I used to be involved in traditional Japanese arts professionally. (But that was years ago and really Im just a nobody.) Currently "An amateur sociologist and linguist who periodically gets obsessive about history(?)" might be an accurate description, haha. If there is anything about Japanese culture/language/history that interests you, let me know! after I finish up rambling about music I would be down to dive into anything. (you would be doing me a huge favor coming up with a topic)
@@tokyoscrambledesigns that's very admirable man it is good to have passions and side-passions, and probably quite cool for you to have a platform now to have a ramble about them haha. This might be a bit broad but I'd be interested to hear about what the historical basis is for some of Japan's core values e.g. humility, "先輩-ism", "頑張れ-ism". I've heard people say a lot is purely military in origin but is that the case?
Hey that's me! Haha thanks for the video, looking forward to the next part :)
Thank you for the suggestion!
