2024 Cadillac CT6 Unveiled In China With Escala Styling, 33-Inch Screen
It's only offered with a 2.0-liter engine.
Cadillac ended production of the CT6 for the US market in early 2020 but the luxobarge remained on sale in China. Large sedans equipped with combustion engines are still relevant in the world's second-most populous country, so much so it's getting a sequel. Meet the 2024 CT6, now with a fresh look inside and out. Without going into specifics, Cadillac says it rides on an "improved rear-wheel-drive platform" with an ideal 50:50 weight distribution.
The exterior takes after the stunning Escala concept from the 2016 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. While it can't match the presence and pizzazz of the showcar, it is a handsome car in a sea of crossovers and SUVs, such as the new Cadillac GT4 also reserved for China. Proportions have not been significantly modified as the second-gen model is 5223 millimeters (205.6 inches) long, 1890 mm (74.4 in) wide, and 1473 mm (58 in) tall.
The fullsize premium sedan is touted as having a segment-leading wheelbase of 3109 mm (122.4 in), which perfectly matches that of its predecessor. That tells us the 2024 CT6 isn't an all-new product but rather an evolution of first-generation model by utilizing an updated Omega platform. Power comes from a turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline engine linked to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Since it's sitting at the top of the food chain in China, the 2024 Cadillac CT6 is brimming with technology. Aside from the already familiar 33-inch screen, it also gets Super Cruise, Magnetic Ride Control (4.0), and a digital rearview mirror. On the flip side, it can only be had with a small four-cylinder engine, a far cry from the mighty Blackwing of the US-spec CT6-V in which the twin-turbo V8 made 550 horsepower. This 2.0-liter has less than half, at just 233 hp.
Cadillac is charging RMB 359,700 ($50,800) for the base CT6 and RMB 469,700 ($66,300) for the flagship trim. For your money's worth, you can get the large sedan with a Renaissance Red interior as an alternative to Jet Black and Whisper Beige. The posh cabin has 26-color ambient lighting, AKG speakers, knurling textured and warm metallic accents, along with open pore dark ash wood.
The new CT6 goes on sale later this year in China together with the aformentioned GT4 and the revised XT4.

American luxury that you can’t have in America…
Cause you don't buy them in America
Cuz americans hasn't been any good sense of preference..
@@imrytebeehyneuGeneral Motors is a financial company first, and always will be!!! They cut corners on every aspect of their products! No thank you, please move their head quarters to China, no smart American wants their cars!
Because Americans can buy a more luxurious Mercedes at a cheaper price
@@charlesislawa broke down one
I wish they would build this here in America, where Cadillac belongs.
If theres no V8 who wants it?
I was just saying a while ago I wish they’d bring the CT6 back!
Now you have to go to China to get one.
Beautiful and classy car. Normally I’m team Audi but this one really has character
I remember when I got in my grandpa Fleetwood Brougham nothing could erase that joyful memory from my head. Cadillac was the greatest cars to ever exist in the '70s and '80s and now they just don't care no more! Shame that reputation is now over.
Someday, the bean counters at GM will be fired and Cadillac will build an S-class competitor.
We can only dream.
That would be amazing. They could build it and make it better possibly even more reliable just add a 3800 to it
Imagine the CT6 having an EV version.
@@aaronlane8276let’s not.

Yeah: it’s called the Lyriq
It’s beautiful. It’s has the features of my Lexus LS. It’s about time Cadillac.
This car is nice. GM didn't build this generation of CT6 for the US market.
@@lordblackwood4417 The one American car we need in America. Large American luxury sedan. The only changes it needs are a V8 engine and replacing all Chinese texts with English ones. If GM can import the Buick Envista and Envision from China to America, they can definitely do the same for the CT6. After all, it is made by them, just under a different brand.
Beautiful car, I will be amazed if this Chinese Cadillac ever sees the US. Too bad.
It won't
At least the Chinese have enough sense to still want sedans , what happen to Americans only wanting big SUV’s that aren’t fun to drive and less efficient 😢
Pensaba que cadillac era de usa
It's is full of copy of other brand
Too bad everyone wants ridiculously large SUVs that make 12mpg
A CT6 Blackwing would be dope
I'm still holding on to my CT6. Even after eight years of ownership, it’s still a beautiful car to me.
As an American that just had to get rid of his 2019 CT6-V Blackwing with only 36k miles on it because there were no more parts available, due to discontinuation, to do a simple transmission repair and also the fact that the engineering team for tech support was completely dissolved, I find this pathetic, infuriating, and most of all offensive that this would be available in the Chinese market and not here in the USA. Those wheels are horrific as well. Ridiculous.
Guess I'll just be getting the CT6 Platinum with the 3.0TT. That was my fear that they would not have parts available. Completely crazy not to have a surplus of parts available. My original plan was to buy a spare engine and transmission and have it sitting until I needed it. I'm the future lol
We Americans Don't deserve Something like this. We American don't know how to appreciate the simple thing in life like a Luxury 4 Door Sedan. We Americans are selfish and greedy. We Americans wanted SUV's and Crossovers. So Ford, GM and Dodge said, We're not going to make 4 door Sedans anymore for the American market because Americans won't buy then. But when another country like China gets what we wouldn't buy, Then All of a sudden you wish they'd sell it in the states. Stop Crying Americans. You made your bed. Now Sleep in it. But I agree. Those Wheels are terrible.
WTF
What's wrong with the wheels? What do you want, hub caps?
That's the reason I went with the v6tt platinum.
I genuinely love my CT5 but if this was available in the States, I'd trade up in a heartbeat
NICE LONG DRIVES IN THIS BEAUTY 👌
it should be a crime this isn't sold in America
Looks like a Chevy impala on the side of the car but more luxury 😮
The slope coupe like roofline is the reason why… it’s like every gm car now has a sloped roofline instead of the traditional 3 box design
Story of Gm designs, they start to get better and then go right back to looking like bland cheap shit.
But its like the rims on the cheap/luxury expensive impala and CT6 looks like a base model though thats what gets me!🤮
The XTS shared the chassis with the last generation Impala and LaCrosse
I was about to say the same thing, it looks like an Impala with Cadillac features.
Would be far sexier if it had different larger wheels to balance out the size of the car. Those stock ATS rims are not cutting it.
That's what a Cadillac should be.
Very sharp!!!!
Escalades, XT6s And XT4s are okay, but we Americans should still have the option to buy one of these!
Прекрасный автомобиль!
They should have added big tail fins! the Chi-Coms would have loved that!
They gotta do better than those basic wheels !
Exceptionally great looking car & they don't sell them here anymore because everyone wants an ugly SUV. I ended up buying a CT4 Blackwing & would have bought a CT6 Blackwing if they kept selling them here.
We don’t want them we are just told we do
Just because it isn't in America now doesn't mean it won't be. I have had a CTS VSport for 10 years and it has been great, and this CT6 is the next step up. I want one.
Aussie here and unfortunately we get no Cadillas down under. Been reading the comments. Can someone please explain why it isn't available in the US? Is it because most Americans are obsessed with SUVs and they just won't sell?
This car deserves America a coupe model and a convertible
And a V Black wing model

I wanted an EV.
I would buy the CT6 if it was an EV.
luxury sedan ever
Oh my she's beautiful. Chi Town.
Not the most headturning or intimidatingly classy DLO but damn those proportions look great.
Imagine if the next Beast looked something like this and the 2025 Escalade.
When u notice that body line creases doesn't match up with taillight 😪
I like that one I will buy that I wouldn’t pay the price for it, but I like it
The interior looks kind of like my 2024 Cadillac Lyriq
Спасибо мне нравится эта машина.
excellent car
А что-за иероглифы на крышке багажника американской машины?
Chinese as this is not sold in America sadly.

This is gorgeous ❤❤
Even Cadillac didn't remove the necessary physical knobs and buttons. It's always the Axis power that tries to do something unique or stupid and fails eventually.
I like black car styling royal ❤❤❤
GM , bring this car to the United States! Cadillac is an American Legand ! Why sell medium , abd small Cadillacs, not the lsrge one people desire in the brand? Infuriating.
This is my dream car.

Very cool but what about engine ?

удивительно, почему они потратили столько времени на машину и почему они не установили хорошие фары!
The interior of the cabin took from the Cadillac Lyriq)
The horizontal tail lights should have stayed. Looks like an impala now more than a caddy.
I had to get a S series Mercedes instead of a Cadillac because they didn’t sell this in the USA, shame.
Absolutely ridiculous they don’t sell this here. For those who want something bigger than the CT5 but don’t want to/can’t foot the bill for the Celestiq. Don’t get me wrong I love the Escalade too, but I’m just more of a sedan guy.
So this is what happened to the Chevy Impala? Gave it a body kit, some buttons and called it a Cadillac? Sneaky
What would you expect a car that can fly ?

I'm old shool. Cadillac was more of a Cadillac when had tailfins and fender skirts!!!
When does the EV version become available? Otherwise, I still want a BMW i7 😊
Wrong video
Life USA ❤❤❤❤❤
The only problem with Cadillac cars and a number of new generation Audi cars is the same curved screen that both sides of the screen are very curved towards the driver, BMW cars have curved screens, but they are much prettier and simpler.
Very sad to see the headlight design has been ruined !!!! The designers MUST be Fired ! Please bring back old CTS headlights .... I mean seriously WHY
Cause it's made for Chinese, not Americans
Absolutely agree. The 19-20 design looked great to me. They ruined the Escalade also with the stupid headlights. The CT5 looks meh now
Really bad camera work hard to follow
It’s an old concept..
New is the Sollei Concept Car .. 😎
Cadillac ~good
🤩
So bad they stoped its production in US
❤❤❤❤
They released the CT-6 in the states 2017~2020 this is the 2nd generation
GM hasn't built a full sized sedan since the 1970s.
Are they going to bring the ct6 back ???
Unfortunately not to the North American market
한국 판매 하나요😊
❤ make it in the usa the hell with importing cars from dam China we need to put a high tax on China cars
The interior just don't look like a Cadillac should. The inside of a Mercedes- S63, is what Cadillac use to look like. More options.

Hey can you back your camera up a bit or zoom out so we can actually see the stuff you're trying to show us. I can't get a good sense of the design of the vehicles in your video because you're zoomed in on stuff like steering wheel buttons
Go down there on all there establishment with flag up that get there attention
All GM has to do is import this from China to America. If they can do that with the Buick Envision and Envista, they can definitely do the same for the CT6 as well. The only change it needs that I can see is the addition of a V8 engine. It’s an American full-size luxury sedan with RWD so all it needs now is a V8 to make it as “American” as possible. More EVs from Cadillac means more room for an emissions offset. Since the demand to bring this car to its own country is high, GM is making a huge mistake by not doing so.
People in US don't want sedans(majority that is) Just look at the sales of the CT6.. all model years BARELY touched 10k in sales.. What TRUE incentive does GM/Cadillac have to then bring this sedan to the states?? Unfortunately the SUV craze triumphs sedans..
@@joestuff8 But it’s the only American large luxury sedan and GM doesn’t have to make or import too many. If the demand is low but the vehicle is the only one of its kind (or is worth producing maybe due to it being iconic), it can instead be produced at a reduced rate. That way, it can remain in production and therefore be available brand-new and not pile up at dealer lots at the same time.
@anonymous3738 sounds nice in theory. But money. Always money. And there's no demand or money in it for GM. That simple. This CT6 is built for the Chinese market. That's why Buick was kept over the other GM badges. Buick hold prestige in China. Plus, the features and gimmicky things in the big 3 German rivals are not in the current CT6. It's rather lack luster, which is exactly why it failed here in the states. It's not competitive. The previous model had hard-plastic door bins. The details is where Cadillac/GM tends to miss, and thats nothing new by any means..
If that would solve the problems they’d still be building them here. It was built here for almost three years but sedans don’t sell in the US market anymore so it was discontinued in the North American lineup. It was a beautiful car to drive with a very agile chassis. I leased one with the 6 cylinder. It drove like a dream.
@@LlyleHunter Believe it or not, this sedan has an overwhelmingly high demand to be sold in America. In a GM Authority poll, 94% of all voters said “yes” to selling the CT6 in America and 43% were interested in having it imported from China instead of being built in America. Because the known demand for selling this car in America is over 90%, it’s definitely worth importing to that market in my opinion. Plus, it’ll keep the Fleetwood’s legacy alive.
Looks like the US Honda Accord
WTH man come on ❤
I hate the black grilles i want the chrome back
